KeymasterHi Mitch,
Thanks for looking into The Events Calendar!
There is not currently a way to add other post types to the calendar (in either the free or Pro versions), but you could potentially do a customization to get them to display there. Our themer’s guide and functions list would be a good place to start!
We are only able to provide technical support in our premium support forums, as we use our Pre-Sales forum to answer questions about the features of our premium plugins for those interested in purchasing them. However, please note that we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, even in the premium forums.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Carly,
I’m sorry the QR code isn’t always showing up, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on!
Is this something that has just started happening, such as after a plugin update for example? Are you able to find any common elements between the cases when the QR codes aren’t showing up?
If you can share your system info with me, as well as the screenshots and website, that would be helpful as well. You can mark your reply as private, and it won’t be displayed publicly in the forum.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Annie,
Thanks for purchasing Event Tickets Plus!
You should be able to install the plugin on your site by following these instructions. After downloading it, were you not able to upload it to your site? If not, did you get any errors or message? Please copy/paste them here if you did!
If you could share your system info with me, that would be helpful as well.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Lars,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
You can create organizers on events, but these are not linked to user accounts. They are actually custom post types. However, using Community Events, users can see and manage events that they have created. Events Calendar Pro also creates individual organizer/venue pages, so the organizer/venue listed on an event links to a page showing all upcoming events for that organizer/venue.
Our free Event Tickets plugin will let users register for events (although Event Tickets Plus would be needed to sell tickets). Event Tickets Plus extends the functionality for free registrations as well, including features like custom fields for attendee info and displaying a list of an event’s attendees.
For volunteers, there is not an out-of-the-box way to link users to an event like this. However, you might look into using Advanced Custom Fields. You could test this out by installing that plugin along with our free plugin The Events Calendar on a staging site to see if you can get it working.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to test out any of our premium plugins, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Mathew,
Thanks so much for pointing this out and sharing the link to the code!
@capit, please let me know if this works for you and if there is anything else that you need help with!Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
The “Where’s my calendar” link should indeed take you to your main calendar page (yoursite.com/events by default). I took a look at your site, and it looks like you currently have another calendar plugin running (Timely). Can you try deactivating that one and see if you are then able to use the link?
If not, then please also try running through these steps to test for conflicts with your theme and other plugins. I would recommend the free WP Staging plugin if you do not have a testing site and don’t want to deactivate things on your live site. It will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
You may also need to flush your permalinks as well – we have some instructions on that here. If you’re doing any caching on your site, please make sure that is deactivated before running the tests.
Let me know how this goes! If the steps above do not resolve the issue, please share your system info with me so that I can see if there is anything there that may be causing this.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Florian,
Thanks for reaching out!
Event Tickets is actually enough to let users register for events on your site (as long as you’re not collecting payments from them within the site). Event Tickets Plus does add some great additional features though like QR code check-in capabilities and custom fields to collect additional info from attendees, so I would recommend taking a look at that plugin as well!
The Cost field is removed when ticketing plugins are activated (to avoid confusion), but if you wanted to get it back, you can do so with this free extension.
We’re not able to provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum, but this article should give you what you need to change the RSVP text. You could also check out the Say What plugin.
I hope that helps, and please let me know if you have any additional questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Chelsea,
Thanks for following up on this!
WHICH PRODUCT DO WE BUY THE EVENT CALENDAR OR THE EVENT AGGREGATOR? HOW DO WE GO ABOUT GETTING THE ONE WE NEED?
Event Aggregator requires The Events Calendar to run, but this is free and can be downloaded directly in your site under Plugins > Add New, or you can also download it here. You can purchase a license for Event Aggregator here, after which you will be issued a license key that you can enter into your site to begin using the service (no plugins to download here!).
WE HAVE THE OPTION TO MAKE OUR CALENDAR PRIVATE IN OUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS? HOW DO I FIND THE ARTICLE THAT IS STATED TO SEE?
There is not a setting to make the calendar private – this would require a customization. We do have users asking about this from time to time, so we have some suggestions here on how you could go about doing this.
SO THESE ARE IMPORTS BY DAY ONLY? WHAT ABOUT THE NUMBER OF SITES IT PULLS FROM WHICH LICENSES GOES HAND AND HAND. EX WE WOULD ONLY NEED 200 IMPORTS PER DAY HOWEVER WE WOULD NEED IT TO CHECK 200 PLUS SITES? SO WHICH PACKAGE WOULD DO THAT?
WHEN YOU SAY IT DOES NOT AUTO IMPORT BUT YOU CAN SCHEDULE IMPORTS TO IMPORTS CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN MORE INDEPTH?
You can schedule imports to run daily or more often – you can see the available options in this screenshot. If you need 200 scheduled imports per day, then you would need the Community license for Event Aggregator ($149). This would mean that you could schedule imports to come in up to 200 times in one day, regardless of how many sites they are coming from – but, you would need a separate import for each source. For example, you could not schedule one import from “Facebook” and select multiple pages on Facebook to import from at once, you would need to schedule each page as its own import. If you plan to schedule imports from 200+ sites multiple times per day, I would recommend going with the Event Hub license instead, which gives you up to 1000 scheduled imports per day.
This article covers the limits in-depth, so I would definitely recommend taking a look!
By not “auto-importing”, I mean that each time a change is made on the original site (like Facebook), this will not trigger an automatic update of the event on your site. However, when your scheduled import runs, the change will be made on your site.
FOR US TO IMPORT THESE EVENTS MANUAL IS IT JUST USING THE EVENTS URL?
To manually import events, yes you will need to enter the URL that you want to import from. This article has some in-depth instructions on importing from a URL.
SO IF WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR EVENT BETWEEN 1/2/18-1/17/18 WE CAN SET THAT TO PULL FROM THE 200 SITES (FACEBOOK EVENT PAGES)? WHEN YOU SAY NUMBER OF EVENTS WHAT DO YOU MEAN? ALSO, CUSTOMZIE CAN WE HAVE IT PULL ONLY CERTAIN EVENTS SUCH AS PROTESTS ONLY? WHERE WOULD BUT TERMS IT THAT WE WANT IT TO PULL? (SUCH AS ANTI, DEMONSTRATE, PROTEST, ETC?)
In the settings for Event Aggregator, you can select the type of limit that you would like to place on the imports (see screenshot) – date range (from the current day), number of events, or unlimited. This article goes over each of the options in detail. However, this setting applies to all imports – it is not a per-import setting.
There are some filtering options when importing from iCalendar and Google calendars. For other sources, you can preview the events, which gives you the chance to select certain ones.
DOES IT PULL FROM OTHER SITES OTHER THAN FACEBOOK? AS LONG AS WE HAVE TO URL?
It will pull from Facebook, Google Calendars, iCalendar, Meetup, another site using The Events Calendar, and also a CSV or ICS file.
I hope that helps! I would really recommend testing it out to get a good idea of how everything works. If it doesn’t work for your project, we’ll be happy to issue you a full refund within 30 days of your purchase!

KeymasterHello,
This is indeed possible with a template customization, which we have some instructions for here in our themer’s guide. The template you’ll want to copy can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/month/single-event.php, and the tribe_tickets_get_capacity function will give you the remaining tickets for that event.
We’re a bit limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know. I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Jean,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can set an overall quantity in the “Settings” area of the Ticket section. After setting a shared capacity, you can then select “Share capacity with other tickets” for the Capacity option on each ticket that you want to draw from the overall quantity. I would recommend taking a look at this article, which has an outline of how the sharing features (“shared capacity” and “sell up to”) work.
I do want to also point out that with recurring events, tickets are added to the series in general. Individual tickets are not created for each date in the series. It looks like you might be aware of that already having named certain tickets “Day 1” and “Day 2”, but I just wanted to make sure!
Regarding the discounts, you can use the coupons feature that comes with WooCommerce to create coupons for tickets, since they are essentially WooCommerce simple products. However, there is not currently an out of the box way to add discounts based on the quantity of tickets purchased.
The WooCommerce add-ons are worth taking a look at for this type of functionality. They provide several options for bundling/discounting products based on what else is being purchased.
Another option would be to create a separate ticket that is good for all days in the series at a discounted price.
I hope that helps clear things up, but please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Adam,
This is indeed possible with Event Tickets Plus. You can create custom fields to collect additional info for each attendee, all in one purchase/registration.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to test it out! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry the update isn’t working for you! We have seen a few other reports of users getting this same error recently and are looking into what could be causing it.
In the meantime, you should be able to update manually by following these instructions. Can you give this a try and let me know if it works for you?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Updating the plugin will replace the existing plugin files, so if you’ve made any changes there, they will be overwritten. However, you’re settings in the admin section of your site should be safe! We always recommend making a full backup of your site before updating though, just to be on the extra-safe side : )
If you have made changes directly in the plugin files, I would recommend taking a look at our themer’s guide, which has instructions on how to customize our plugins in an update-safe way.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer
