One other thing to check…If you already have a page with the “events” slug, try changing the slug of that page (found underneath the page title on the edit screen) to something else. Then go to Settings > Permalinks and click the “Save Changes” button.

TEC uses this slug to display our Events page, so if another page is already using it, that could be causing problems.

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for following up! Sorry for the delayed response, we typically only have support available during weekdays.

It sounds like there may be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. The next step would be to test for conflicts, and I would recommend starting by disabling the Beaver Page Builder.

If you do not want to do this on your live site, I would recommend this free plugin WP Staging, which will quickly create a copy of your live site that we can use for testing.

Also- you said you bought Pro for three sites. Have you tried Pro on any other sites, and if so, are you experiencing the same problem on those as well?

Regarding Pro being customizable, you should see new options once it’s activated, such as an “Additional Fields” tab under Events > Settings and a “Schedule multiple events” button under the Time and Date section of an event. Are you able to see these new options?

Let me know how that goes, and I will help you in getting this resolved from there!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Keith,

Welcome back to our forums! I’d be happy to help you out with this.

    Changing the Email Recipient

By default, there is only one email address collected at the time the order is submitted. It sounds like you may have created a custom ticket field to collect attendee info separate from the billing info collected at checkout?

It would be possible to change the recipient to an email collected from a custom ticket field, however this would require a code customization. Unfortunately, this level of customization is outside the scope of what we are currently able to offer, but I would recommend taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, which has great tips on customizing our plugins. If you need help with the code, we do have a list of freelancers we can recommend.

    Customizing Email Templates

When an order is completed, the customer should receive two emails, one confirming the purchase (from WooCommerce), and one from us with the actual tickets. You can customize the templates by copying them into your theme and editing them there. Note: It is highly recommended that you use a child theme to avoid your changes being lost with future theme updates.

Our template can be found at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/Tribe/Commerce/WooCommerce/Email.php

    WooCommerce Template Customization Guide

I know that was a lot of information, so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have!

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.

Once you install and activate Events Calendar Pro, you should be able to access the additional features it provides. Please note that it does not add anything new to the admin sidebar, but rather additional functionality on top of The Events Calendar, so you may not immediately notice any big changes after activating it.

When you say it doesn’t pick up the events you created, do you mean that you are missing events you had created before installing Pro? If this is the case, when you deactivate Pro, do your events reappear?

As far as customizing it, could you tell me what you are trying to customize that you are not able to?

Please also make sure you are using the latest version of The Events Calendar (if you are using an older version, updating might solve the issue). If you could provide your system information (instructions on doing so here), that would be very helpful in determining what is causing these issues.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Mike,

The users do not have any of the options that are listed under Event Options on the backend (hide from event listings, sticky in month view, and feature event). Sorry about the confusion there, I should have mentioned that before. The front end form includes all of the options under the “The Events Calendar” section on the back end, plus the options to set a featured image and select a category (and of course a title and description).

If you go with Events Calendar Pro, you will also have the option to create additional fields that will appear on both the backend and front end. Again, you can easily hide these on the front end with CSS.

What Community Events does is create a front end submission form for creating events and then gives you some options to help control what users are able to do with it (such as requiring users to be logged in to submit, setting the default status for user-submitted events, allowing/preventing users from creating new venues, etc). So yes, there is only one front end submission form, and you can use CSS to hide say, the Event Website section, just on the front end form and keep it in place on the back end.

If you wanted to make more advanced changes, that is when I would recommend taking a look at the Themer’s Guide for tips on editing the php template that controls the front end event submission form.

I hope that clears things up! If not, please let me know!

    Hi Chris!

Great question, thanks for reaching out!

I completely understand where you’re coming from – compatibility issues can really be a pain to sort out. The good news is that all of our products do work seamlessly with each other.

As far as a theme, we do not currently have any plans to develop one, but since we strictly adhere to WordPress best practices when developing our plugins, they should work with most themes that do the same.

We do have a list of recommended themes that also provides some additional information on the compatibility topic, so please make sure to take a look!

If you have any other questions, just let me know, and I’ll be happy to help.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for checking out our Community Events plugin!

You can hide entire sections of the form or individual form fields with CSS, which is the easiest way to remove the fields you don’t need.

There is not a built-in way to create multiple event submission forms on the front end. However, you do have the option of editing the php template, which would also be another way to go about removing form fields. For more info on editing the template, check out this post.

To answer your second question, events submitted by your users will appear with events created by site admins in the list, day, and calendar views by default. I would also recommend checking out our Themer’s Guide for good some documentation on customizing Community Events and our other plugins.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for checking out our products!

Both our Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus plugins come with the option to only allow users who are logged in to RSVP.

However, limiting RSVPs to one per user can be done but would require a bit of customization. If you use the Event Tickets plugin, this post provides a great guide on limiting the number of RSVPs (note that this would limit RSVPs per order, but not per user). Limiting RSVPs per user requires more code customization. We do not do customizations at this time but would be happy to help point you in the right direction if you need it. Our Themer’s Guide offers a lot of good info on customizing our plugins.

So the answer to your questions is yes, with some tweaking to limit RSVPs.

I hope that helps – please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Hi Nataliya,

Thanks for reaching out to us! We really appreciate your support in using Events Calendar Pro!

To answer your question, you can remove the entire line (date and time) easily with CSS:

    .tribe-events-duration { display: none; }

However, removing <i>only</i> the time would require more advanced customizations, as would adding the day name. You can take a look at our Themer’s Guide, which offers information on how to make customizations to our products, or contact one of our recommended developers if you need help implementing a customization.

If this is an option you would like to see added in the future, you can also suggest it in our Feature Ideas forum for other users to vote on. If an idea gets enough votes, we may consider implementing it in the future.

I hope that helps! Please note that as we do not offer support in our pre-sales forum, I am going to go ahead and close this thread. As a premium user, you have access to our premium support forum, which is where we provide support for current customers. If you need any further support, please feel free to open up a new thread there, and we’ll be happy to help you!

    Hi Anastasiya,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

Both the The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro offer lists of events (Pro has more options for events lists), but unfortunately neither one is set up to handle appointments.

The closest we have to this functionality would be using The Events Calendar in conjunction with our free Event Tickets plugin, which allows users to RSVP to events that you create (or our premium Event Tickets Plus plugin if users need to pay to schedule appointments). You could set the maximum number of RSVPs allowed to 1.

Depending on your specific needs, this might work for you. I would recommend downloading the Event Tickets plugin and giving it a shot!

I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a better answer, but please let me know if you have any more questions, and I will be happy to help!
