I need support. I downloaded pro x3 and it still runs like the regular. I doesn’t even pick up the events I created nor is it customizable. What am I missing from the set up. Yes, I entered the key.

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.

Once you install and activate Events Calendar Pro, you should be able to access the additional features it provides. Please note that it does not add anything new to the admin sidebar, but rather additional functionality on top of The Events Calendar, so you may not immediately notice any big changes after activating it.

When you say it doesn’t pick up the events you created, do you mean that you are missing events you had created before installing Pro? If this is the case, when you deactivate Pro, do your events reappear?

As far as customizing it, could you tell me what you are trying to customize that you are not able to?

Please also make sure you are using the latest version of The Events Calendar (if you are using an older version, updating might solve the issue). If you could provide your system information (instructions on doing so here), that would be very helpful in determining what is causing these issues.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

I have this version. Latest Version: 4.5.1. My install does not say I purchased Pro. Even though it’s in my plug-ins with an activated license. I want it to look customizable like it shows in your website.

Also, I created events inside of the Events Calendar…but it’s picking up Events I labeled on my posts. I’m confused, how can I assign it to pick up events from one or the other?

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for following up! Sorry for the delayed response, we typically only have support available during weekdays.

It sounds like there may be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. The next step would be to test for conflicts, and I would recommend starting by disabling the Beaver Page Builder.

If you do not want to do this on your live site, I would recommend this free plugin WP Staging, which will quickly create a copy of your live site that we can use for testing.

Also- you said you bought Pro for three sites. Have you tried Pro on any other sites, and if so, are you experiencing the same problem on those as well?

Regarding Pro being customizable, you should see new options once it’s activated, such as an “Additional Fields” tab under Events > Settings and a “Schedule multiple events” button under the Time and Date section of an event. Are you able to see these new options?

Let me know how that goes, and I will help you in getting this resolved from there!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

One other thing to check…If you already have a page with the “events” slug, try changing the slug of that page (found underneath the page title on the edit screen) to something else. Then go to Settings > Permalinks and click the “Save Changes” button.

TEC uses this slug to display our Events page, so if another page is already using it, that could be causing problems.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
