    Hello Dave!

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

I’m sorry you are experiencing this behaviour. I could not reproduce it in my own local installation, so let me help you troubleshoot it.

First, to narrow the problem down could you please go through the complete steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and see if it changes anything during that process?

When coming back, please make sure you share with us your latest system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks,

    Hello Ruta!

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

I’m sorry you are experiencing that issue. Let me help you with the troubleshooting.

whenever trying to edit a recurring event, with the web page freezing and timing out.

Do you experience this before or after clicking the Update button to save the changes? Does it happen with all recurring events or just some? How about when creating a new event from scratch? Let me know about it.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept login credentials as stated in our terms. But, would you mind sharing with us (in a private reply if you’d like) a screenshot of all the recurring settings when editing that event?

In addition, could you please see if there are any console errors by inspecting the page? If so, please share those with us. Here’s how you can achieve that > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/. Let

Also, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try editing one of those events a few times to reproduce the issue, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can spot the problem from there.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Dan!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, this is an issue we are already aware of. Like you say, it’s only happening with iCalendar imports like yours.

I will change this thread’s status to “Pending fix” and link it to the bug report. This way we’ll let you know when a bugfix is released in one of our future maintenance releases.

I apologise for the inconvenience and we’d appreciate your patience while we work on a fix.

    Victor

    Hello Adam!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with those issues.

It seems like you are getting a 500 server error. So, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try navigating a few times into the page where you are having the issue, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can spot the problem from there.

Also, when coming back, please make sure you share with us your latest system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks,

    Hello Miffi!

Thanks for coming back with all that info!

I can see that the event instance for August 2 is before the main event date August 17th. Could you please try inverting this and make the main event to be on August 2nd and then August 17th to be an instance for that recurring event? Does it change anything?

Regarding the amount of events per day to show in the month being 4, I could not find any day that has more than 3 events, so perhaps this is why you are not seeing 4 events per day. Try adding another event to any of those days and see if it shows.

Let me know how that goes.

    Hello Amy!

    Thanks for clearing that out!

By default, the extension will only display the location, not the venue name. And unfortunately, there is no built in option to show the venue name for the event.

You could however add the venue name by customizing the templates where you want to add the venue name. We can’t support custom development questions like this, but let me know in which templates you want the venue name to display and I’d be happy to help you out as much possible and at least point you in the right direction.

    Hello Matt!

Thanks for letting me know about that.

I could not find the “Yoga at the Green Barn” in the database, but I did find the “2016 Daniel Island Farmers Market” recurring event, where I am getting a few errors.

Could you please confirm that you experience the same error with that particular event? If so, please send us a screenshot of all the recurring setting when on the edit page for that event.

Also, while on the edit event page for that event, do you see any console errors? Please send us a screenshot of that if you do.

Please, let us know about that.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Nick!

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your kind words! 🙂

I’m sorry for a bit of a delay here. We’ve been having a higher demand in our forums for the last days and it has caused some delays.

I’d be happy to help you with this.

Unfortunately, there is no “limit” attribute you can use in the tribe_events shortcode to limit the amount of events to show, but there is a bit of a hack that Eric shared with us here > https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/tribe_events-shortcode-limit-option-not-working/#dl_post-1217300 that will allow you to set a limit to it.

Now for the “show more events” button, I’m not exactly sure what you want to accomplish, but you could try adding a link after the list of events that points to the main events calendar. Does this help?

Regarding the events being removed prior to the event, it sounds like it could be a bug or conflict of some sort, so to keep things more organized I will kindly ask you to open a new thread for it. This will also allow us to give the proper time and attention to each thread. When doing so, make sure you go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide here so we can discard any theme or plugin conflicts.

Let me know how that goes and don’t hesitate to ask any other questions and I’d be happy to help as much possible.

    Hola Javier!

Thanks for reaching out to us! 🙂

I’ve just checked your order status and I can confirm it’s complete. Also, I could verify that your Events Calendar PRO license is active and ready to use.

Please check if you are able to see the updated license here > https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ and let us know about it.

    Thanks,

    Hello Yuval!

Thanks for getting in touch with us! 🙂

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by hide_if_empty being available in tribe_events_list. Could you please let me know a bit more about what you are trying to accomplish and how?

You can share with us screenshots or even links so we can have a look at it.

    Thanks,

    Hello Mark!

Thanks for following up with this.

To me it sends me to a 404 page, which is not desired either, but what seems strange to me is that the tag URL is wrong.

Just to confirm, did you try refreshing your permalinks structure?

Also, could you please let me know what permalinks structure you are currently using by going to Settings > Permalinks ? Please try switching to “Post name” option and see if anything changes.

Finally, I can’t see your complete system information. Is that info you sent the only one that’s showing up when you go to Events > Help?

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Peter!

Thanks for reaching out to us and for using our plugins! 🙂

I’d be happy to help you with that.

The other thread you linked could be related, but seems only specific to their theme.

As this could be related to a plugin or theme conflict, could you please go through the complete steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let me know what you can find in the process?

Also, could you please share with us your system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ?

    Thanks,

    Hello Jorrit!

Thanks for reaching out to us and for using our plugins! 🙂

I’m sorry your are experiencing that issue, but unfortunately, we can’t give support for customizations like that as we state here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

I’m not really familiar with the WP User Frontend Pro plugin, but it could be that it’s not saving the dates in the proper format in the database.

You might want to check out our Community Events plugin here > https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/ which I think has a similar functionality to what you are trying to accomplish.

If you are not sure about it and want to give it a try, we have a pretty cool refund policy > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions about it.

    Best,
    Victor
