    Hi Shervin,

Welcome and thanks so much for reaching out!

It may take a few minutes for your license key to activate.  Try again in a bit and see if things do begin to work.

In addition, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Shopping Cart Empty Unless Signed In #1565803

    Hi Misty,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are seeing that message appear.  I tested the functionality myself, and I did see what you are referring to.

As a first step, can you make sure that you have the following option to have users log in unchecked:

You can find this option under Events Settings < Tickets.

Also, if you create a test product in WooCommerce, rather than a ticket, do you see the same results?

In addition, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    • A conflict with another plugin
    • A conflict with your WordPress theme
    • A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Attendee Information Options for Organisers #1565800

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

    1. Do organisers have the ability to use the attendee information options to create extra fields for users to fill in when purchasing tickets? Your demo site lets you create an event as an organiser but I don’t see anywhere to change the attendee information options/create new fields. Please can you confirm if this is possible.

Organizers do have the ability to create additional fields for attendees to fill out when completing a ticket purchase.  This occurs on the backend of the site where you create your tickets.  This can be something global and applied to all of your tickets, or you can create unique custom fields for individual tickets.

    2. If I created a new field that was part of the standard WP/WC register form that captured the users date of birth, is there a way for this to be linked to an attendee information field or additional field I would create called DOB so event organisers could see it? I’m unsure of the data connection between the WP/WC user and the data your plugins are capturing/requesting.

The custom fields that we recommend using to collect attendee data are the custom fields that are located on the ticket form itself.  That way, it stays associated with the attendee.  You can read more about collecting attendee information here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Licensing of your Plugin #1565798

    Hi Satoshi,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

All of our plugins as a whole remain GPL-licensed, open source projects, therefore it doesn’t seem like there is a way around what you are looking to achieve.

You are welcome to take a look at our Terms and Conditions here:

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Carsten,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that your license on your site has stopped updating.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In the meantime, can you try disconnecting and deleting your Unlimited License and then reconnect?

If that doesn’t work, can you try flushing your transients using a plugin like Transients Manager?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: wrong slug #1565788

    Hi Bart,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that the slug that you set is not being honored for some reason.

As a first step, can you try changing your permalink structure to the Post Name structure.  It looks like you have it set to Category/Post Name instead.

You can read more about permalink best practices here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/

After doing so, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes.  You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Count Days of Event? #1565782

    Hi Ceasar,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m not quite sure I understand the functionality you are trying to achieve.  In other words, are you looking to add in the duration of the event (such as 1 hour)?

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Importing Not Working #1565776

    Hi Jamie,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are unable to import from your Google Calendar on your site.

Can you provide me with the URL that you are using to import, so that I can do some testing on my end as well?

Also, can you enable and check the Event Log under Events < Help to see if you see anything unusual?

Right under that is your Event Aggregator Status. Can you take a screenshot of what you see there?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: elect2 jQuery plugin (v. 3.x), in "Events Tickets" #1565774

Thanks so much for reaching out!

We are aware of some of the issues that using this select2 version can cause, however it is quite an undertaking to update.

We take our customers’ feedback into consideration when making updates and changes.  However at this time, we are not quite ready to update in the immediate future.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you and your site.

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

in reply to: Pre purchase questions of the Large bundle #1565763

    Hi Jake,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

can we create event attendee users? We want to do this for security checks and to build our database, so we also need to know this for GDPR considerations etc. Therefore, is there a database back end for attendees and event hosts?

Yes, with Event Tickets Plus you can create event attendee users.  There is a database for the event with a count of your attendees/tickets for that event as well.

can we track event purchase / ticket sales by source? Can we add in utm tracking? Or how else is it tracking?

You can utilize UTM parameters to gain insight and track your ticket sale sources.  The following article can provide some more information on how to do that:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/utm-parameters-track-your-marketing-initiatives/

We will be offering a cross communal platform – can we have the business membership for this as it will be on one website as a portal

The Business license for Event Tickets Plus will allow you to use the plugin on up to 3 sites, so it depends on the number of sites that you will be using our plugin on.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Unfortunately my test site is a local site, so it is not accessible for testing.

Using the code you provided, the fields do not become “required” at all.  However, I have tested this functionality with the required Event URL snippet provided in that article and followed the steps you outlined.

In that case, if I removed the Event URL in the Community Edit page, I did receive error, so I was unable to reproduce the error that you are describing.

In any case, we are limited in our assistance with custom coding here, as per our Support Policy.

If you’d prefer not to tackle this customization on your own, we may be able to assist you further. We do need to prioritize support requests from other customers at this time but I’ll certainly flag this with the team and – although we can’t make any promises – if we have time and space to come back and help, we’ll be happy to do so.  Please let us know if you’d like to go this route so that you can be added to this queue.

In the meantime, if there is any more information you can share (including mocks) that will help us to better understand what you are seeking please do feel free to add them to this ticket.

If you urgently need help with this, however, you may instead wish to consider working with a suitably skilled developer or designer who can offer the additional level of support you require.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Event Tickets not showing up after Meta #1565674

    Hi Susan,

It looks like the Eventbrite Tickets Additional Options extension may be conflicting with Eventbrite Tickets.  Can you try disabling that temporarily and see if it brings your tickets back?

As far as the Currently migrating events message goes, could you please flush your transients using a plugin like Transients Manager?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: wrong addresses coming up on google maps #1565672

    Hi Evan,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

If you enabled Use latitude and longitude where you edit your event venue, do you see the address updated to the right address?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Events not being imported from Google Calendar #1564727

I wish I more conclusive information for you, however it seems that the ICS file for your Google Calendar does only contain those four events for some reason, even though your calendar clearly contains more events.

Are all of these events contained within the same calendar?

You linked to two URLs, however one of them is empty and the other one is the one that contains the four events.

If there’s anything else you can investigate related to the Google Calendar itself, let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
