KeymasterHi Amanda,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your imports. As a first step, please make sure that you have your timezones set up consistently. Here is our article on working with timezones: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/working-with-timezones/
Would you mind clarifying what you mean about “stop running an update”? Also, was this before you used Event Aggregator to import events?
If you still find that you are having the issue, the next step would be to test for conflicts.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
This article can walk you through the steps: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Let me know how everything goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chris,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with the links on your site. As a first site, would you mind trying to flush your permalinks? To do this, you can go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes.
Here is our article on Permalinks best practices for your reference: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/
Please let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Michael,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are having issue with the Subscriber roles on your site. At this point, I’m not quite sure if what you are experiencing on your site is the result of a bug, or the way that you have your settings configured, or a conflict between plugins or a theme that may be causing the behavior on your site to behave improperly.
Out of the box, subscribers should not have access to the WordPress Dashboard, but it sounds like that is something you wold like them to have, is this correct? If they have access to the Dashboard for one purpose, it is difficult to not allow them access to all part of the Dashboard, so you may want to limit their abilities to the front end of the site, so it does not get confusing.
You may want to test for conflicts and see if the issue still persists. There may be another plugin or your theme interacting with ours that is causing the issue. You can follow the steps outlined in this article to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Additionally, this article about admin roles and permissions may be of interest to you: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
If you still have the issue, perhaps you could share some more detailed information about what settings you have enabled, so that I can try to replicate the issue on my end.
Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Donald,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m glad you were able to figure out that first part of your question, so let’s see what we can do to resolve your issue from there.
When configured properly, the email that customers receive with their tickets should look something like this:

As you can see, at the bottom of the email, there is an option to download a PDF copy of the ticket. Are you able to see the “View Ticket” option that was added on the front end with this extension? Also, are you able to see the option to download a PDF of the ticket from within the site?
Make sure that you have checked the Download PDF Tickets in the Events Settings under Tickets and click Save Changes.
To answer your second question, if someone is logged into their account, and they are on the Event page, they can click View Tickets and access their ticket in PDF form:

Once I have the answers to these questions, we can continue troubleshooting. Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Kristiina,
Thanks so much for reaching out again!
I am trying to format the date for the following link so it will show for the following pages
September 26- November 27 @ 5:20 pm-6:20 pm not as it is now September 26 @ 5:20 pm – November 27 @ 6:20 pmIn order to reformat the date, you may want to set things up so that it is set up as a recurring event, rather than just one long event. Setting this up as a recurring event may help you to achieve what you are looking for.
You can set up your event something like this:

How do I change the header for lists and calendars etc
http://www.mysunset.net/activities ‘Upcoming Events’ to Say ‘Upcoming Programs’ at the topIn order to change the header, you can use a plugin called “Say What?” to change the strings to whatever you want them to be. You may have to play around a little before getting the desired effect. The text-domain is ‘tribe-events’. https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/
How do I create a button that say REGISTER and opens the link to a new screen instead of just showing the long link
http://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/Activity_Search/124211Creating a button will require some customizations on your part, and this article can get you started: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/url-as-word-button/
I hope I have helped to answer some of your questions. Please let me know how everything goes and if you need any additional assistance on these topics!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Patrick,
We’re so glad to hear that you are enjoying our plugin so far, thanks for reaching out!
There is a way to show the series event date on the New Order emails. You can add a code snippet to your functions.php file to help you achieve this. This article can walk you through the steps: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-the-event-date-to-ticket-emails/
As far as the Shopping Cart page goes, the following article can walk you through how to show the event title in the WooCommerce cart page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/show-the-event-title-in-the-cart-next-to-the-ticket/
You can modify the code snippet based on the information that you’d like to see listed on the cart page.
Let me know how it goes and if you have any additional questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out again!
In order to disable the responsive styles, you can remove the breakpoint where the styles switch over for smaller devices. In order to do that, you can follow along in the Themer’s Guide. I know I linked to this document in our last response, but here it is again, just in case: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
The section called, “Responsive Templates” can walk you through how to remove the breakpoints, so that you can continue to use the desktop styles.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterThank you for testing the conflicts, and I’m glad to hear that we have at least isolated the issue.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can provide a solution to this issue. As I’m sure you can imagine, it is difficult to make our plugins compatible with every third-party plugin that our customers use. I have logged this issue and we will take a look and see what we can do. Our response time may take longer than normal as we look into the issue and see if there are any workarounds that we can find for you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matt,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
At this time we do not currently have a feature that charges a fee for event submissions. Community Events does however have a feature in which you can have users register for your site before submitting an event, if that is something that you are interested in.
We do have this feature planned as a future release, but we do not have a timeline at this time: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3762678-charge-for-event-submission-and-premium-featured-e
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
I hope this helps to answer your question. Please feel free to reach out if anything else comes up!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Daniel,
This should be easier for you to copy and paste:
https://gist.github.com/jmarchwinski/cdc924d358b18216983df5b6f8930a20
Changing the styles can give you more flexibility to customize things, depending on what you are looking for. You can read more about that in the Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/). The section called “Adding Custom Styles” describes your options.
Please let me know how everything goes and if you have any other questions on this topic along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterGreat, thanks for getting your system information over to us.
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
Here is an article that can walk you through the steps for your reference: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
And one more thing to try: it is possible that your CSS isn’t loading because the widgets expect to be in a place such as a sidebar, without a panel builder. You have SiteOrigins Widgets Bundle, which may be the conflict. Would you also mind trying to create the same type of widget setup, but without placing it within their panel builder? Let me know if you need any further clarification on this.
Please keep in mind that it is possible that there are a few different conflicts at play, given that you have a few separate issues.
Let me know how everything goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Jason,
Welcome back and thanks for reaching out!
Thank you for providing us with those screenshots. From the screenshot of the event, it appears that the event is listed for next year. This could be why it is still appearing on the calendar, as it is still occurring in the future.
Let me know if this helps or if you need any additional assistance on this issue. Have a good weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Jaime,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
In order to get the shortcodes, you do need to purchase Events Calendar PRO. The free version does not have shortcodes available. The following link can show you a comparison between the two versions, so that you can get a sense of what additional features will be available to you: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
List View is available in both the free and PRO versions of The Events Calendar, however you will get additional features and views with the PRO version. Event Aggregator acts as a import tool, and can import from a variety of sources and can be scheduled automatically if desired.
https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/
If you decide to purchase a license for one year, our plugins will continue to work, and you will not lose any data or events. What you would no longer have is access to new updates, which may fix bugs in the plugins, or the ability to post in our premium support forums to ask for help. You can find more information on that topic here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/expired-licenses/
I hope this helps to answer your questions! Please let me know if you need any further clarification and have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Lee,
Welcome back! Thanks for reaching out, though I’m sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your emails.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Alternatively, you can just bypass the WordPress servers altogether and have the system send tickets from any chosen email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.
Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.
Let me know how it goes! Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime
