    Hello,

I’m contacting you to ask about license regarding your WordPress plugins, Event Tickets Plus and The Events Calendar.

We’re a hosting company located in Japan, 123Server, Inc. (https://www.123server.co.jp/).
We’re planning on a new service of providing high-quality WordPress plugins for our web hosting server clients and found that your plugin has a very high reputation in this area.

We would like to customize the plugin to fit our Japanese market, and also redistribute under terms of GPL for a profit. However, I know there are some parts of the plugin that aren’t GPL-licensed.

If there’s any part of the plugin that isn’t GPL-licensed, like images, CSS, etc., would you kindly tell us?

I’m sorry to rush you, but would you be able to give a reply by July 7th? If not, we’ll simply assume the plugin is 100% GPL and continue on our plan as described.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thanks,
    Satoshi O.

    Hi Satoshi,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

All of our plugins as a whole remain GPL-licensed, open source projects, therefore it doesn’t seem like there is a way around what you are looking to achieve.

You are welcome to take a look at our Terms and Conditions here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/terms/

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
