KeymasterHi Brenda,
With Event Aggregator alone, you can only import events by URL, so only one event can be imported at a time.
With the addition of Eventbrite Tickets, you can import events from your Eventbrite account, so multiple events can be imported at a time.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Shay,
I apologize if you feel dismissed here. That was definitely not my intention.
If you switch to a default WordPress theme, like ‘Twentyseventeen’, do you still see the issue occur?
Is it possible that the customizations you made were overwritten when you updated the plugin.
You can refer to our Themer’s Guide in order to see how to safely create template overrides.
If you revert to the previous version, via your Downloads page, do you see the functionality return?
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Preethi,
It looks like there are updates available for your site. Would you mind updating all of your plugins and then try to re-create the same issue to see if an issue still occurs.
In addition, can you take a screenshot of the errors that you are seeing?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Esther,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
At what point are you seeing imported events duplicated? (ie upon first import, or subsequent scheduled imports?
I tried importing the URL that you provided and re-imported it, and did not see events duplicated.
Can you try changing your Event Update Authority to Overwrite my events… and see if the same still occurs?
In addition, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Note that https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/ may prove helpful as well. (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Tim,
Our Themer’s Guide can show you which templates can be edited and copied in order to attempt the results that you are looking for.
In addition, here are all of the available functions in our archive:

I hope that helps!

KeymasterHi Wayne,
Thanks for all of your feedback.
I’m glad to hear that at least one of your issues has been resolved.
As far as the shortcode issue goes, unfortunately that is a bug that we are currently aware of and are actively working on.
I will mark this thread as ‘Pending Fix’ and you will be notified when a fix for this issue has become available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on this.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Milla,
As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
In the meantime, I’d recommend taking a look at your stylesheets and page templates and see if altering these settings helps you to achieve the results that you are looking for:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
