ParticipantEvent Aggregator is not importing using google calendar and eventbrite, which is the main reason for my purchase. Can you let me know how to resolved. I have attempted reading many of the other posts but they are mostly private responses. Under a deadline here and would like to move forward.
Thank you,

KeymasterHi Brenda,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
In addition, can you provide me with the URL that you are trying to import, so that I can do some testing on my end?
Also, can you enable and check the Event Log under Events < Help to see if you see anything unusual?
Right under that is your Event Aggregator Status.ย Can you take a screenshot of what you see there?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

MemberHi Brenda,
Unfortunately to share files you need to post directly on the help desk. If you reply by email and attach files that way we are unable to receive them.
Focusing on Eventbrite initially, I see in our logs several attempts to import from “https://www.eventbrite.com/myevents/” … I don’t believe this is a valid event URL, however. It’s important to note at this point that if you are using Event Aggregator (rather than Eventbrite Tickets) – which you are – you have to specify specific event URLs, for example:
http://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-international-bubble-flashmob-tickets-37077259080
If you would like to import events from your own eventbrite.com account, without manually discovering and entering the URLs, you will need Eventbrite Tickets (and let me know if you’d like to do a license swap).
Does that help at all, in relation to the Eventbrite portion of the problem?

MemberIn relation to Google Calendar imports, I think that – similarly to the situation with eventbrite.com – you need to use a different URL.
calendar.google.com/calendar/b/2/r?tab=mc&pli=1
URLs like the one you shared above are what we humans use ๐ … but the list of events you see if you access it are different for different users, so they actually aren’t very useful if you want to pull data into another application (Event Aggregator included).
To discover the actual URL you need, follow these steps:
- Log in to Google Calendar (the above link is probably a good starting point)
- You will see a list of calendars – typically on the left hand side of the page
- Hover over the one you are interested in, click on the options link then Settings and Sharing
- Scroll down until you find either the public or secret address in iCal format (both will work)
- Copy and paste the URL: this is what you need to supply to Event Aggregator
I hope that helps ๐

KeymasterHi Brenda,
As Barry previously mentioned, the Eventbrite event will not import if it is not in the proper event format, as is also the case with Google Calendar events.
If you import the following event, does it work for you?
This will give me a sense if the functionality itself is working for you.
If you are still interested in a refund, you can fill out the following form:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantYour link worked fine. So it is me… Can you direct me to the correct format that i should be using to make this work for me?
Thank you,

KeymasterHi Brenda,
Thanks for running through that test.
Do you have another way to link to that event, or provide me with the name of the event so that I can search for it?
In general, the event URL should look something like this:
http://www.eventbrite.com/e/event-name-here-12345678
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Brenda,
With Event Aggregator alone, you can only import events by URL, so only one event can be imported at a time.
With the addition of Eventbrite Tickets, you can import events from your Eventbrite account, so multiple events can be imported at a time.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
