KeymasterHi Lara,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Would you mind being more specific about what is strange about the way that the featured images are displaying on some of your events?
As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Leslie,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can try the following tutorial which can show you how to change any string in our plugin:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Alternatively, you can try using a third-party plugin, like Say What?, which can change the wording of a string as well.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

KeymasterHi Kian,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
At this point, the best method to achieve this is to use a User switching plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-switching/
Basically that will allow you to perform the front-end process as that other user.
Better yet, if you are only using RSVP tickets you can do so without that plugin. Simply head over to the event and use the ticket form (entering the attendees email).Let me know how that works out for you and if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Michael,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site!
As a first troubleshooting step, can you try updating all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and testing if the issue still occurs?
If it does, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme

KeymasterHi Michel,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue with our plugins!
As a first step, can you try to download the plugins manually via the following tutorial?

KeymasterThanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
First of all, you are welcome to apply for our Nonprofit Partnership Program, which will grant you free access to either Events Calendar PRO or Event Tickets Plus, though without premium support access.
With both Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus, you can have customers purchase tickets for events that span a number of days. It is worth noting that Event Tickets Plus does not support recurring events at this time, however you will still be able to achieve the results that you are looking for by setting up each event separately, or by creating a series and then “breaking event from series”, so that you can easily populate your calendar with events, and still use the Event Tickets Plus features.
Also, please feel free to check out our demo site here.
Please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Daniel,
Great, thanks for all of that info and for sticking with this!
I just tried importing the event again from your test calendar URL: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/stolaf.edu_7kninpd6ibhg55o74bv1e5d9m0%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics, and it shows up as occurring from January 18-19 on my calendar on the front end, however when I go to edit the event on the backend, I see it as only taking place on January 18. Do you see the same thing?
When I change the event to the timezone that I am in on the Edit Event screen, the event shows as taking place on January 18 on the front end. My point being that when my timezone is set, everything appears to be working properly. Is the event timezone on that screen what you want it to be? Also, once I re-imported the event, I did not see any change in the time.
As far as Event Update Authority goes, it’s worth noting that with the setting you currently have, if you make changes to the event on your site, those changes will not (and should not) get updated when you re-import events. Here is more info on that, just to provide some clarity there:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-aggregator-import-settings/#update-authority
Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Stephen,
I’m sorry that this was not the solution that you were looking for.
You can try to create your own Javascript plugin with your code so that it will not be lost with updates, but of course this is not within the scope of assistance that we can provide as per our Support Policy.
You can also try copying and editing this file within your theme (or child theme) folder, as detailed in the Themer’s Guide that I referenced in my previous reply.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
I know this wasn’t the answer that you were looking for, but please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic that I can answer for you!
Thanks,
Jaime
