August 30, 2018 at 10:07 am in reply to: 501c3 discount request sent.. No response as of yet… #1609919Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
First, I apologize for the delayed response here! Our forums have been much busier than usual this week. I am glad to hear that everything is working now. To help you get up and running with Events Calendar Pro, I would recommend taking a look at the following articles:
If there is anything else that I can help with, please let me know!
Thanks,

August 30, 2018 at 9:59 am in reply to: Recurring events / times and other issues incorrect when published. #1609913Jennifer
KeymasterHi Krystyna,
So sorry for the delay here – I tested this out on my end, but I was not able to recreate this issue locally…the times were showing up correctly on my end. You mentioned that your timezone settings are correct – can you double check that you are using the Location timezone instead of the UTC offset timezone under Settings > General > Timezone? I would also recommend reviewing this article regarding timezones, just to double check your settings, as timezone discrepancies are a common source of event times displaying incorrectly.
As a first step in troubleshooting this, can you try running through the steps outlined here to check for any conflicts that might be occuring with your theme or other plugins? Please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled during testing and copy/paste any errors that you see here. You can also check for Javascript errors on the page by right-clicking, clicking “Inspect”, and looking in the console while you try to recreate the issue.
You can use a plugin like Health Check to help speed up this process, and if you don’t have a staging site already, the free Duplicator or WP Staging plugins can help you get one set up.
Please let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Gabrielle,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
As a first step, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking “Save”? Be sure to clear out any caching that you might be doing on your site, on your server or via a plugin.
If this doesn’t help, it could be that the latest versions aren’t getting along well with something else on your site. You can check for this by running through the steps outlined here – a plugin like Health Check can help speed up this process.
Please let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Keith,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Community Events will let users submit events from the front end of the site, and they can then edit those events, but not those submitted by other users. Admins however will be able to edit these events from the backend.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Community Events for a test run to make sure that it will work the way that you need, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Tim,
I do see where you’re coming from here and how this would be useful – however, there is unfortunately not a specific category or other method of automatically hiding events on your site that are no longer present in the source calendar.
If this is a feature that you would like to see added in the future, please let us know over in our Feature Ideas Forum! This is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.
In the meantime, you can assign categories when setting up the import, but there is not a way to change them automatically based on whether or not the event has disappeared from the source. You might be able to get this set up via a customization – you can find our documentation on doing customizations here. We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know. I will do my best to point you in the right direction! We also have a list of recommended developers that you could contact to have the code done for you.
I’m sorry that I don’t have a better solution for you here, but please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can change the start of the week under Events > Settings > General (there is a screenshot here).
Let me know if this works for you!
Thanks,
Jennifer
August 29, 2018 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Just bought my Business license, but "Invalid license" appears! #1609346Jennifer
KeymasterHi Dugson,
I’d be happy to help you out with this!
I took a look at your system info (thanks for sending that!), and it doesn’t look like you have Events Calendar Pro active. The space to enter your Pro key under Events > Settings > Licenses will not appear until the plugin is activated – can you try activating it and see if you see the box?
The space that appears there by default is actually for Event Aggregator, which is an import service that is built into the free version. It sounds like this might be where you entered the Pro key?
Let me know if activating Pro and entering the license in that box gets rid of that message!
Thanks,
Jennifer
August 29, 2018 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Last update removed widget. I can't get calendar icon back #1609342Jennifer
KeymasterHi Sheir,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
I took a look at the page you linked to, and it looks like the widget has reverted to the version that comes with The Events Calendar (you can see the different versions here). Can you double check in the Plugins section that Events Calendar Pro is activated? Once it is, the widget should revert to the Pro styling with the icons.
If this doesn’t make a difference, can you please share your full system info with me?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out! You can hide the address on certain events with a customization – our themer’s guide has instructions on doing template overrides, and the template you’ll want to copy and edit can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/address.php. The is_user_logged_in function and the get_post_status function should be helpful in determining whether or not to display the address.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know! I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Adam!
The events listed on each day should be in chronological order in month view – you can see how they look by default here on our demo site. As a first step, can you go under Events > Settings > Display and make sure that you have the “Enable month view cache” option disabled? Next, you’ll want to run through the steps outlined here to check for any conflicts that might be occurring with your theme or another plugin. You’ll want to drop down to a completely default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro disabled and a default theme enabled) and make sure that you have WP_DEBUG enabled during testing. If you see any errors, please copy/paste them here.
Finally, can you also share your full system info with me?
Thanks,
Jennifer
August 29, 2018 at 5:00 pm in reply to: Missing Payment Info + Post-import event editing options #1609309Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry for the delay here – I reply previously, but I see that this did not save for some reason – so sorry about that!
Can you please clarify what you are referring to by the payment info options? When you imported these events, did you use the “Eventbrite” option or the “Other URL” option?
Regarding events not staying associated with Eventbrite (the radio button changing back to no), can you try switching to a completely default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar and Eventbrite Tickets disabled and the Twentyseventeen theme enabled) to see if this is still happening there? If not, you’ll want to re-enable the other elements on your site one at a time to see when this issue reappears. Please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled during testing and copy/paste any errors that you see into your reply. A plugin like Health Check can help speed up this process.
Can you also try updating to the current version of WordPress (4.9.8) and The Events Calendar (4.6.22.1)?
Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
I do not believe that we have any specific documentation on the ticket description – you would need to dive into the code a bit…as I mentioned previously, we are limited in how much we can help with customizations, but if you need help with the code, we may be able to help you further.
I can add this thread to our customization request queue, and if we have the time and space to be able to come back and help you further, we’ll be happy to do so! Please let me know if you would like to be added to this queue.
If you urgently need help with this, we do have a list of recommended developers that you could contact to have the code done for you.
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Klaus,
I’m glad to hear that you are able to access the page again! I did link this thread to our internal ticket for this issue, so as soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here.
I do apologize for the inconvenience that this caused, and thank you for your patience as we work on getting it resolved!
Jennifer
