    Hey Joelle πŸ™‚

I’d be happy to help investigate the duplicate events issue!

So do I even need the add-on to do scheduled imports of a feed.

Yes, you will need Event Aggregator to do scheduled imports. Event Aggregator allows you to import events from Facebook, Meetup, Google Calendar, iCalendar, CSV, and ICS. It also allows you to create scheduled imports and includes many features not included in the free plugin.

The only import feature included in The Events Calendar is CSV for events, venues, and organizers. Please let me know if this helps clarify any confusion you had.

If you send over a screenshot of your Events > Imports > New Import screen (fill out as if you were setting up new import) and your Events > Settings > Imports screen, I’ll attempt to reproduce the duplicate event issue. I’ll also need your System Information as a private reply.

Keep me updated and have a great rest of your day. Cheers!

    Hey Russell,

We have a bug logged resembling what you’ve described, so I’ve added this forum thread to the ticket which helps expedite the process of getting a fix included in an upcoming release. I don’t have a precise date when it will be available, but please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information. It’s Priority Level 1, so it should be included in the next release. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments. Cheers!

    Hello,

Sorry to see you’re having issues with the events navigation. Please make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. I also recommend right-clicking your mouse and opening the ‘Inspect‘ tool to see if any errors display in the console. Note what you find and please include it in your reply. Unfortunately, we are limited to conflicts with themes and plugins by other authors, but if it’s something we’re obviously doing wrong or see an easy solution for we’ll be happy to help.

For what is covered in the support forums, please review our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article. Let me know what you find and have a great rest of your day. Cheers πŸ™‚

    Hey Kyle,

I’d be happy to help out, but before I’m able to do much I’ll need you to review our Testing for conflicts guide and let me know what you find out. In addition to having WP_DEBUG set to ‘true’, can you use the ‘Inspect‘ tool and let me know if any errors display in the console?

Once I have that information, I’ll compare it to our bug reports and test to see if I can reproduce the behavior. Thanks and have a great rest of your day πŸ™‚

    Hi Haley,

Thank you for your purchase and sorry to see you’re having issues with Event Aggregator timing out. I’d be happy to help troubleshoot and hopefully get it working in no time. To identify if a theme and/or plugin is causing the issue, can you please review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings? Please include your System Information as a private reply.

Also make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. I also recommend right-clicking your mouse and opening the β€˜Inspect’ tool to see if any errors display in the console. Note what you find and please include it in your reply.

I’ll also try reproducing the behavior on my test site, so include some of the iCal URLs you’re attempting to import events from and I’ll let you know what I find out. If you’d still like to go another direction, you can visit our Refunds page and we’d be happy to process that for you.

Sorry again things aren’t working out at the moment and let me know how you’d like to proceed. Cheers πŸ™‚

    Thank you for the update.

I attempted to reproduce the behavior on my test site, but I’m able to select from my list of venues when adding/editing an event. Do you mind testing again? Please make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. I also recommend right-clicking your mouse and opening the β€˜Inspect’ tool to see if any errors display in the console. Note what you find and please include it in your reply.

Thanks again and take care πŸ™‚

    Welcome back πŸ™‚

I’m unsure on which features you need, so if you visit our Products page you can view the entire list of plugins we offer. If you do need a different plugin after all, please visit our Refunds page and we’d be happy to process that for you as long as it’s within 30 days of your purchase.

You can download previous versions of our plugins on the Downloads page. Please let me know if this helps and have a good afternoon πŸ™‚

    Hi Peter,

The issue lies within WordPress itself rather than our plugin, so when you see an update for WordPress core, you can review the changelog to see if the patch for this issue was included in the update.

You can review our CSV file examples for importing for more information on importing categories. You can essentially separate them by comma in the appropriate column (category-1,category-2) and it should assign both categories to the event.

Let me know if this helps and have a good rest of your day πŸ™‚

    Welcome back,

If you don’t mind, please provide links to the other threads you’re referring to and I’d be happy to further investigate. Can you please test again, but please make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. I also recommend right-clicking your mouse and opening the β€˜Inspect’ tool to see if any errors display in the console. Note what you find and please include it in your reply.

Thanks and have a great afternoon πŸ™‚

    Hey Rupert!

Sounds like a strange issue! Does this behavior persist when you revert back to the default WordPress theme and deactivate all plugins other than ours? Please review our Testing for conflicts guide guide and let me know what you learn.

    Hi Johan,

Thank you choosing PRO for your project! To answer your question simply, no, it is not possible for an event to automatically adjust it’s time and/or date if another event’s time and/or date is altered. This would require customization beyond what we’re able to provide in the support forums, but we have a list of non-affiliated customizers that might be able to help. You could also submit this as a request to our UserVoice Feature Ideas.

I hope this helps and best of luck. Cheers!

    Hello πŸ™‚

Sorry to see you’re having troubles connecting Event Aggregator to Facebook. Before we proceed, I see you checked ‘Yes’ to reverting back to the default WordPress theme and deactivating all plugins other than ours as instructed in the Testing for conflicts guide, but can you please confirm this?

I’d also like to provide some relative information on connecting EA to Facebook, so please skim over to make sure you followed the process properly:

Please keep me updated and have a pleasant rest of your day!
