ParticipantHi all,
I want to import data via csv-file.
But the upload doesn’t work. The system quits with following message:
“Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist dieser Dateityp nicht erlaubt.”
“For reasons of security this filetype is not allowed.”What to do?
Thank you for help.
Best regards

ModeratorHi Peter!
Welcome back and sorry to see you here under the circumstances. I notice in your System Information that you are running outdated versions of our plugins. Can you please update them to the most recent versions and review the Testing for conflicts guide to see if the error persists?
It might be best you set up a fresh WordPress installation where you can fully troubleshoot the issue. Make sure you have only the default WordPress theme and The Events Calendar installed and activated on the test site. Please review our Using One License for Live and Dev Sites and Moving Your License Keys tutorials for more information.
Thanks and have a pleasant rest of your afternoon!

ParticipantHi Hunter!
I setup a brandnew wordpress – standard theme – only events calendar installed.
The same error message.
Do you need access to the installation for support?
Thank you for help – I have bought the pro version for my customer and he’s waiting for a solution.Best regards

ModeratorHey Peter,
Thank you so much for taking the time to further troubleshoot the conflict. Can you send over a file that is giving the error when you’re attempting to import using Event Aggregator? Once I have that, I’d be happy to further assist. Thanks again and have a good evening!

ModeratorThis appears to be a known WordPress bug. Try adding the following line to the bottom of your site’s wp-config.php file:
define('ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS', true);Let me know if you’re able to successfully upload the CSV file!

ParticipantHi Hunter!
One more question:
How to import events which have 2 or 3 event categories?
Thank you for help!
Best regards

ModeratorHi Peter,
The issue lies within WordPress itself rather than our plugin, so when you see an update for WordPress core, you can review the changelog to see if the patch for this issue was included in the update.
You can review our CSV file examples for importing for more information on importing categories. You can essentially separate them by comma in the appropriate column (category-1,category-2) and it should assign both categories to the event.
Let me know if this helps and have a good rest of your day 🙂
