Until I can figure out how to switch back to my previous events plugin, I would love a solution! I have 200K+ monthly page views on my website and from the moment I installed your plugin, I’ve been EMBARRASSED!
None of my events are displaying in proper chronological order. I’ve seen plenty of related threads saying the same thing and this was an issue in the previous version. Get this resolved and stop charging people money until you do!
HunterModeratorIs there any way I can get a refund? I’ve tried so hard to make this work and for a small business (1 employee) working from home, the $65 goes much further for me than it does for you.
January 14, 2014 at 5:15 pm in reply to: Events List: Previous Events and Next Events Behavior on Past Events #92647HunterModeratorBob, if you figure it out before the next release date, please send me an email! Likewise if I get it solved. [email protected]
HunterModeratorI understand, I was reaching out to other purchasers who may have encountered and solved the same issue.
HunterModeratorThis snippet is for photo view losing category during pagination. My issue is my oldest events are displayed first when selecting “Previous Events.”
HunterModeratorI’ve placed the snippet at the bottom of my functions.php. I’m not getting the error, but I’m still getting the same result as before. Events are being displayed with the oldest.
add_filter( ‘tribe_events_pro_pre_get_posts’, ‘tribe_fix_photo_category_pagination’ );
function tribe_fix_photo_category_pagination( $query ) {
// check & set event category
if ( isset( $_POST[‘tribe_event_category’] ) && $query->get( TribeEvents::TAXONOMY ) == ” ) {
$query->set( TribeEvents::TAXONOMY, $_POST[‘tribe_event_category’] );
}return $query;
}HunterModeratorParse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/hwas/public_html/wp-content/themes/Avada/functions.php on line 1472
HunterModeratorI tried pasting it in my theme’s functions.php file and got an error. Am I placing it in the correct functions.php file?
HunterModeratorI just tried it again in all views and it still goes back to the oldest events rather than the most recently passed.
http://familyoffestivals.com/events/past/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1
http://familyoffestivals.com/events/map/?action=tribe_geosearch&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=pastHunterModeratorIt appears to show the wrong order not only in photo, but all the other views as well.
HunterModeratorThanks for getting back to me – definitely a pretty big issue, hope it gets resolved soon.
November 18, 2013 at 9:48 pm in reply to: Import, save, and display the entire Facebook cover photo #77245HunterModeratorReally? That seems like a rather simple request.
HunterModeratorNone of the events are recurring. I have tried all that and still experience the slowdown. I’m trying to integrate a caching plugin (which I had previously running smoothly, graded A’s at gtmetrix.com) which will hopefully help.
Do you have any information regarding the W3 Total Cache plugin and specific settings that may cause issues with TEC? Like I said before, I had the exact same setup I’m trying to get going again.
HunterModeratorI have 229 total events and plan on having way more than that (5,000+). My site was running a lot faster before I did this plugin switch and database transfer. Like I previously said, I cut my database by over 75%.
