Good evening Dave and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The simplest solution would be to first go through the following Knowledge base articles:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/license-key-out-of-installs/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/
    3. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/

This should make you a license key ninja.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Debbie and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I believe the following article answers that question beautifully: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/can-you-have-multiple-calendars/

The other set of good news is that we are currently working on a new event platform that might be of interest to you in setting up several calendars.

I would recommend you read the following to get a sense of what it’s all about: https://theeventscalendar.com/calendar-beyond-wordpress/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Paco and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

The short answer is that Polylang Pro is compatible with the Events Calendar free plugin, but not with the Events Calendar Pro. At least not yet.

That means that recurring events support is not yet officially offered for Polylang Pro.

With that in mind, I would recommend reaching out to the community and searching the web because, there are several of our customers that have been able to achieve great things with Polylang and our plugins (via some tweaks).

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Ilka,

Actually this is not what I am saying. Let me clarify what I mean.

Your goal: Create tickets that are not showing up on the calendar but that are still tied to an event.

    Solutions:

    1. Create normal events AND tickets, but hide the tickets using:
      1. CSS for those specific events
      2. A start sale date far in the future
    2. Fake it by removing the tickets completely from any actual the Events Calendar event. This means:
      1. Creating a normal event WITHOUT a ticket
      2. Creating a normal post that “looks” like the event and is a “copy” of the normal event but that is “private”. The sole purpose of this post is to contain your tickets.
    3. Decide to loose the typical Event Tickets Plus functionalities for those specific events and just use normal WooCommerce virtual products instead. This means:
      1. Not creating a ticket
      2. Not having attendee reports
      3. Not being able to ask additional attendee data
      4. No QR code and attendee check-in

In other words, you will be going fully manual

So in the end, each solution has pros and cons.

You will probably need to experiment with these to find out which one works best.
Personally, I would simply hide the tickets with CSS on specific events

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Mic,

Thank you for writing back and clarifying what you are trying to accomplish.

In that case, you are trying to accomplish Goal number 1.
The simplest solution is to use a template customization.

Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/

If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

<span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”>If, on the other hand, you can code a bit, there are different ways you could achieve your goal:</span>

    1. Setting/forcing a default value for “type” through the functions.php file of your WordPress theme
    2. Using something like a Tampermonkey script
    3. <li style=”text-align: right;”>Using jQuery (here is an unrelated example of how that works: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/075787fd6b427e1c47be0d756ca5b26c)

    Dear Brian,

I just fixed the repo for you (http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-calendar-pro/de/default/).
As a side note, all of our users have the power to fix incorrect translations.

Normally, the fix should appear in the next release of the Events Calendar Pro.

As such, I will change the status of this thread to “pending fix”.
You will be informed once the translation is released.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Jacobo and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

My question is, can I use woocommerce at the same time to sell products?

    Absolutely.

There are several way to achieve this:

    1. Simply paste WooCommerce products in the events content section
    2. Use our Event Tickets Plus solution which integrates perfectly with our the Events Calendar plugin. It also lets you send tickets with QR codes, control attendee management, ask additional attendee info. All of that while using WooCommerce for all the transactional aspect of things: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Sherry and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the image upload functionality not working properly on your site when the Events Calendar is activated. Yikes!

I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Hang in there!

Good evening Minda and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have been encountering while doing template customizations. I would love to help you with this topic.

What is probably going on is that there is something off with the path under ../storefront-child/tribe-events/pro/

For instance, there is no single-event.php file that would normally go under ../storefront-child/tribe-events/pro/list/

However, depending on which file you are trying to customize, there are other valid paths for that file:

    1. ../storefront-child/tribe-events/pro/map/single-event.php
    2. ../storefront-child/tribe-events/pro/photo/single-event.php
    3. Etc..

The best to handle this is to open up the file you are customizing and look at the header comments in the file itself. It should provide you with precisely the correct path.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you also please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Let me know how that goes.

in reply to: Difference between PRO calendar and Filter Bar #1395362

Good evening Ashley and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

1 – It seems PRO doesn’t INCLUDE the Filter Bar, and it’s an additional $89 to get that feature, correct?

    That is correct.

2 – Does PRO offer the ability to search Organizers? Our wordpress theme wouldn’t pull organizer names (the slot we place speaker names) when the search was used. The only thing the search pulled was the titles of events. Does PRO offer the ability to search the ENTIRE event listing? And if not, I assume that’s what the Filter Bar is for? But I won’t need PRO do use that bar, correct?

The ability to search organizers is not contained in Pro itself.
But, the good news is that you are more than welcome to tweak things to meet your needs.

The reason why Organizers are not showing up in search is because the default search functionality is meant to return events, not the organizer taxonomy.

You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/

If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Here are a couple of articles to get you started:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/custom-event-queries/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/
    3. https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/b9cde5ad57eecefca3bcd578fc5e6a61#file-functions-php

The Filter Bar does not extend search functionalities either, but makes access to the organizers much simpler and no, you do not need the Events Calendar Pro for this to work.

In the end, the preferred solution will depend on you.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Michael and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you have encountered with attendee data edition.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I was under the impression if after the attendee purchased their tickets they would be able to edit those fields?

Normally, as long as you are “logged-in” with the same user that purchased the ticket, you should be able to edit those fields.

You could use a “User switching” plugin to test that out on your website.

As well. I was wondering if the admin had the ability to edit those same fields too or is that not possible?

Not through the same interface as customers (unless you are using a “User switching” plugin).

However, we do have a plugin to edit the data from the admin area: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-can-admin-updatechange-ticket-information-for-anonymous-customer/#post-1357096

Unfortunately that plugin needs to be updated following our recent complete revamp of Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.

You will be notified as soon as the new version is out.

In the meantime, you could get this to work by downgrading both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus to versions 4.5.7 and 4.5.6 respectively.

I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

Let me know how that goes.
