Good morning Karen and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You are right, a remove button would be great and I’ll pass the suggestion along.

But the good news is you can actually remove a recurrence rule by setting it to “Once” and the exclusion to “none”.

Let me know if that works for you.

    Have a wonderful day!

Good morning Hugh and welcome back!

You are absolutely right, modifying the rsvp.php file in the plugin directly is not the best practice and this will cause your changes to be overwritten at every upgrade.

But we have some good news for you.

You can actually create customization directly in your WordPress template by following our Themer’s guide.
Check out the Events Tickets section more specifically.

In short, the rsvp.php contained in your theme’s folder will have precedence over the plugin’s rsvp.php .

Alternatively, you might consider using a plugin to override the basic wp_mail parameters and give you much better reliability (IMOH).
I personally use the Easy WP SMTP plugin a lot, maybe you will like it to.

Let me know if that answers your questions and happy customizing!

    Good morning Tony,

Welcome to the Modern Tribe and thank you for reaching out to us.

I just went on your website and you are right, there seems to be some weird redirect going on.
Based on the nature of the issue and the system info you kindly provided, I have a couple of questions and suggestions to try to troubleshoot these issues.

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Questions:</span>

    1. Are the redirected events recurrent events ?
    2. Do you have some type of caching going on at the web hosting level ? (since I do not see a caching plugin in your list)

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Suggestions:</span>

    • Please try flushing (re-saving them) your permalinks by going to settings > permalinks and hitting the “Save” button
    • I am wondering if your redirect plugin is not interfering here. Can you please deactivate it and try removing any rules the plugin might have added to your .htaccess file ?

Please let me know if that resolves the issue.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning Claudia,

Welcome to the Modern Tribe and thank you for using the Events tickets Plus.

To my knowledge, there is no existing bug in regards between WPEC and Events tickets plus.
But the good news, is that we are very interested in helping you figure out why you can’t see the ticket details in the transaction reports.

There might be a bit of back and forth involved, so we appreciate your patience in helping us troubleshoot with you.

First, could you please provide us with your system info ?

Also, it would be great if you could share some screenshots of what you are actually seeing (and not seeing) with a real life example.

We are looking forward to hear more from you.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Des,

Welcome back and thank you for your question.

The short answer is yes! You can totally customize the capabilities of your Shop managers.

In order to accomplish that you will need to add a WordPress plugin such as Members (which is free and lets you control precisely what each user role can do).

Once it’s installed, go to your Users tab and look for the newly added Roles option.

Happy customizing and let me know if you have any other questions.

in reply to: Filter Bar Responsive Breakpoint #1051583

    Good evening Karly,

Sorry about the confusion, I will try to provide a clearer answer.

    1. I understand that the tribe_events_mobile_breakpoint filter applies to all mobile breakpoints. Does another filter exist for modifying the Filter Bar’s breakpoint?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the answer is no. There is no existing filter to modify the Filter Bar’s breakpoint.

    2. Can you please confirm if the Filter Bar has its own mobile breakpoint or if there is only one mobile breakpoint for the entire calendar?

There is only one mobile breakpoint for the whole calendar. The Filter Bar does not have it’s own mobile breakpoint.

    3. If we want to set the Filter Bar’s responsive breakpoint to kick in not only when the screen size reaches the calendar’s breakpoint, but also when the size of the container holding the calendar reaches that same breakpoint, what is the best way to achieve that (for a non-developer such as myself)? Should we start by copying the Javascript that calculates the container width and adds a CSS class? Or is another method recommended? In either case, can you please share where the aforementioned CSS and JavaScript files are located?

That is a very good question, but that level of customization is slightly outside the scope of what our support usually entails.

You should also know that resizing an element based on another element’s size instead of the screen size is not a common practice, but it is still feasible.
That being said, I would still like to point you in the right direction so that you can get started.

The first thing I would do is to kill the built-in breakpoint completely (you can see the function here).
In fact, I would first check how you like the effect of just doing that part.

Then, I would code (or in your case hire a programmer) a custom function using combination of Javascript/JQuery.
As an alternative, you might try your luck in a forum such as Stack Overflow where they are already discussing similar topics.

You never know, you might get somebody to provide you with a code snippet.

I wish I could offer more assistance on this topic, but I hope this at least clarifies things for you and gets you started on the right track.

Is there anything else I can help you with ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Dave,

Thank you for submitting your system information and for re-testing with Twenty-fifteen.

That allows us to establish that there seems to be a conflict with the local news WordPress theme or between local news and one of the plugins you have installed.

I am unsure exactly what is causing this issue, but I recommend following the rest of the procedure found in our Testing for conflicts guide. Especially the part about deactivating all other plugins (to see if the problem persists with your main WordPress theme) and trying to reactivate the plugins one by one until you can recreate the <p> tag issue.

If that doesn’t  work, I would have a look at how the content is called in the archive.php of your WordPress theme or at any events calendar template customization that might be in there.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great evening,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Ivan,

    Thank you for your answer.

Actually, it is not default behaviour for an event to disappear from the Event List widget once an event starts.
It should disappears only once the event is finished.

I would be interested in helping you figure this out.
Could you please provide me with an example of the issue you are describing from your website ?

    Have a great night,

in reply to: Weekday names in wrong language #1051549

    Good evening Marco,

    That is a great question.

There are language files (po/mo) for each language.
So normally, the language of the weekdays should follow the language of your WordPress install.

The lang parameter located in the <html> tag at the top of your page will establish which language file is used.
Currently, you will notice that it is set to lang=”en-GB”, which explains why the weekdays are being displayed in English.

I am wondering if the Avada theme or the Polylang plugin is not forcing the language parameter to be English (overriding the language parameter of your WordPress install).
You could easily test this by reverting to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty-fifteen and by disabling the Polylang plugin and see if the WordPress language kicks in to your liking.

Either way, as stated earlier, the fastest solution for multilingual support would be to replace Polylang by WPML.

Is there any thing else I can help you with ?

    Have a wonderful night.

    Good evening Kimberly,

    Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with the events list widget. I would like to try to help you get to the bottom of things.

This might require a bit of back and forth between the two of us, so I would like to thank you in advance for your patience.

The first step is to test for conflicts with other plugins or with your WordPress theme.

Could you tell me if the issue is still there with a basic WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen or when all other plugins are deactivated ?

Please let me know what the results of these tests are so that we can establish what is causing this situation.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Ivan,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would  love to answer your question.
Could you tell me which widget you are referring to ? (event list ? this week’s events ?)

Also, it would be great if you can give me an example of an event that is not displaying the way you would like it to display.

I am looking forward to hearing more about this.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning Dave,

Actually, that coupon code gives you 30% off the cart total.

So I guess your best bet is to place one big order 🙂

Have an awesome day and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

    Geoff. B.

    Hi Marco,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You are absolutely right, unfortunately at this point, the Events Calendar does not support Polylang.
It might work partially, but not fully.

You can vote for that feature by submitting it here.

As an alternative, you should know that we do offer support for WPML as a multilingual solution for the Events calendar.

I wish I had better news, but this is the best answer available at the current time.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Have a great evening!
