    Good evening Alesia and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about that rogue translation showing up on your site.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I just ran a quick test and the good news is that there should be no such issue with the German translation. The good news is that this means that we only need to figure out what is causing this on your website.

    The most probable cause would be some custom function in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme. I would recommend checking there first.

    If you can’t find anything there, the glitch is likely to be caused by one of the following things:

    1. Your translation files are not up to date
    2. You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
    3. The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”

    In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.

    In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Adam and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the translations being inaccurate for the danish language.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:

    Normally, the string you are looking for probably looks like “All %s” (%s being a variable – aka the word “event” in this case).

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Madis and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    To make a long story short, we have do not offer official support for the Events Calendar Pro additional fields yet.

    That said, I believe that reusing the approach from https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-filter-bar-with-wpml/ will work.

    You will find your custom fields in the admin screen translations. More specifically, they will be under tribe_events_calendar_options > custom-fields

    One word of caution though, this will probably only work with manual translations (as opposed to using the Classic translation editor).

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Matt and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    The short answer is yes.

    To achieve this, you will need to install:

    1. Event Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/
    2. Event Tickets Plus (premium add-on): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Miki and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the ticket not showing up when the order has been paid cash.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Without seeing your settings, I believe that the issue stems from the Events -> Settings -> Tickets.
    More specifically, you might need to take a look at the very bottom of the screen and see which transaction status triggers the creation of attendees.

    Once that is established, you can either:

    1. Change that setting to accommodate your workflow OR
    2. Make sure you set the order to the correct status once it has been paid cash

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Amanda and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the buttons not kicking in on your installation.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Based on what I see, the “useless” buttons are being generated by the Salient WordPress theme and the smaller ones are being generated by our plugin.

    There are a couple of things you could try to help with that:

    1. Play around with the setting under Events -> Settings -> Display to see if that helps
    2. Simply hide the Salient buttons.Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

      .single-tribe_events .tribe-tickets-rsvp .quantity input.plus, .single-tribe_events .tribe-tickets-rsvp .quantity input.minus {display: none !important;}

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Robb and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I want to have the facility to have a weekly event for the same time, amount and location. I cannot see the place to repeat this event. Should have bought the events calendar instead?

    You did the right thing by purchasing the Events Calendar Pro. The ability to repeat events is exclusive to the Events Calendar Pro.

    What might be going on is that you did not complete the installation. I would recommend going through the procedure found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/

    To summarize, you need to first install the Events Calendar AND install the Events Calendar Pro (separate plugin) to be able to see the “Repeat events” functionality.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Julien and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    I would like to know if it is possible to try the Pro version few days before buying it to be sure it will correspond to my needs?

    Unfortunately, we do not offer trial versions.

    That said, we do have the next best thing. We have a 30 days refund policy, no questions asked.

    That should allow you to try things out to your liking.
    Also, please reach out if you have questions while experimenting.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Patricia and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

     I’ve installed the free version and on the mobile device in the vertical format, the calendar entries are squished and unreadable.

    This might be due to some competing CSS rules from your WordPress theme.
    Before anything else, I would recommend experimenting with the settings found under Events -> Settings -> Display to see if that helps.

    If it does not, would you mind sending a URL to your calendar so that I can take a look and see what is going on?

    Best regards,

    Good evening Charles and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with the mobile version of your site.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    What seems to be going on is that the responsive CSS rules are not kicking in on your installation.
    The first thing I would recommend trying out is playing around with the first two settings found under Events -> Settings -> Display to see if that helps.

    If not, I would recommend turning the caching off (WP Fastest Cache) to see if that changes anything.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Sofie and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the visual glitches you have been dealing with.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Kudos for fixing some of them.

    1/ Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    #tribe-events-pg-template, .tribe-events-pg-template {
    max-width: 96% !important;

    }

    2/ I am not sure how you have limited the quantity per order exactly. Would you mind expanding a bit on that?

    What I am seeing (which might not be related but still worth fixing) is that your favicon link is set to http://www.groeidala.be/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/groeidala_logo_mail.png which is causing a mixed-content error message (http vs https).

    I would highly recommend changing that to https://www.groeidala.be/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/groeidala_logo_mail.png in Divi’s Options.

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Paul and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the Map not displaying correctly on your website.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    It looks like you were able to fix the look of the map and remove the “don’t add me to the attendee list” option. Kudos for that!

    What is going on is that sometimes styles from the calendar and styles from your WordPress theme might be competing. The best place to tackle most of these issues is Events -> Settings -> Display (by playing around with the first 2 settings).

    On that note, the dark border seems to be coming from a CSS rule from the Enfold theme.

    Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Additional CSS metabox:

    .tribe-events-tickets td.woocommerce, .tribe-events-tickets .tickets_description, .tribe-events-tickets .tickets_name, .tribe-events-tickets .tickets_name p, .tribe-events-tickets .tickets_price, .tribe-event-tickets-plus-meta td {
    border: 1px solid #dfdfdf;
    }

    #top .main_color .quantity input.plus, #top .main_color .quantity input.minus {
    text-align: center;
    }

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good afternoon Ezekial,

    Just a quick note to let you know that we are almost there!
    I am just waiting for a feature to be fixed (tomorrow) and we should be good to go for our test run.

    Until then, the calendar sync stopped at 10 events (which is a long way from being what you can normally expect from the sync).

    One more day before we can see this through. Thank you for sticking with us!

    Good afternoon Glenn and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the number of tickets left constantly reappearing on your website.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I took a look at your website and, much to my surprise, I could not find any of the CSS rules kicking in for some reason.

    Normally, these should stick. Would you mind telling me where you are adding these? (our plugin’s CSS, your theme’s CSS, in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS?

    Another option would be to tweak and apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/94f37421a00db6f7a96368aa23a8d8bb#file-functions-php

    But first, to be extra safe, before making any changes to your functions.php file, you should make a backup of that file.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Ezekial,

    Our ninjas are still hard at work on this one.
    In the end, we will prevail (our team just can’t let a bug win 🙂 ).

    That said, I realize time is of the essence.
    Therefore, I would like to offer a temporary workaround.

    Until the coding team gets to the bottom of this, what we could do is sync up your the Events Calendar installation with a Loxi Calendar WITHOUT the link back to the Events Calendar.

    In other words:

    • You would be able to embed a Loxi calendar anywhere you like
    • That Loxi calendar would contain the exact same events as your the Events Calendar installation
    • When somebody clicks on a single event, they would be presented with Loxi’s version of the single event view (as opposed to being brought back to the Events Calendar)

    This is far from perfect because of the Loxi’s limitations, but it might buy you some time if that would be acceptable.

    Loxi’s limitations for the single event view are:

    1. The display of the description of the event might be different than what you are used to. In some cases, it might even require a bit of tweaking (ideally, we should run a test to see how that goes for your specific calendar).
    2. Loxi does not have ticketing capabilities yet. The only thing it offers is the option for a link to a URL to purchase the ticket. You could use that to link back to your actual the Events Calendar single event view, but this process is not automatic. That means that you would have to edit every event to add the link back to the Events Calendar manually (not great I realize).

    I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now, it’s the best one I have, unfortunately.

    Let me know if you would like to give this a shot as a temporary workaround?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
