    Good evening Jesse and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the desktop view only showing a dot.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I believe that what is going on is that your theme is only displaying the mobile version (even on a desktop).
    I have a hunch that this is caused by template customizations.

    You can check that out by looking for a /tribe-events/ folder in your theme’s directory. You could could also look at your theme’s functions.php file (look for any “breakpoint” string and if there is one, remove it).

    Can you confirm that this is the case ?

    As a first troubleshooting step, could you also please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Good evening Jeroen and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the ticket box not displaying correctly
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Yes, this is a “simple matter” of CSS or if you prefer how your theme style is impacting the ticket box.

    As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Could you also include a link to your website so that I can provide you with the correct CSS rules to add ?

    Good evening Scott and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the correct CSS still not kicking in.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I am not sure exactly how your theme works, but I can confirm that the default theme’s CSS is absolutely overriding the plugins’ CSS. Furthermore, I am not seeing any of my colleague Geoff’s CSS rules in there ?

    In any case, you were right, we need to add these CSS rules somehow. The top 3 places are:

    1. In a child theme (to prevent the styles from being erased upon an upgrade) style.css file
    2. In the custom CSS tab of your theme (if your theme as one)
    3. Using a plugin such as the one you have been using or this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-user-css/

    In any case, I would just make a tweak to my colleague’s CSS rules

    #tribe-mini-calendar-5 .tribe-mini-calendar .tribe-events-othermonth {
    background: #555 !important;
    }

    #tribe-mini-calendar-5 .tribe-mini-calendar table td {
    background: #555 !important;
    }

    #tribe-mini-calendar-5 .tribe-mini-calendar table tbody tr:nth-child(2n) td {
    background: #555 !important;
    }

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Carole and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the few issues you have been dealing with, especially the error 500.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Secondly, in regards to the error 500, this is typically caused by a corrupted .htaccess file (perhaps one of the plugins is attempting to rewrite the file in question).

    In any case, could you please include a copy (in a zip file) of the .htaccess file of your site ?

    Good evening Chris and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    You are making such a great point. It would be very coherent to have the “Other” section header in the backend (“Edit screen”) as well.

    The screenshot you are referring to in our knowledge base is actually one of the front-end (what users see when they look at a single event).

    So in short, it’s not so much a bug as it is an enhancement to the backend that would make the interface better.

    As such, I will open a ticket for it. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted as soon as it’s out.

    Is there anything else I can help you with today ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Stephanie and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    I am using Community Events and have a need to change the fee based on user submitting the event and/or based on the type of event submitted.

    Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

    This is a very interesting feature and I can see how this could be useful to some of our users.
    I am confident this could be accomplished, however, it would require considerable customizations.

    You could:

    1. Tackle the customization yourself using our Themer’s guide as a starting point
    2. Hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

    Finally, you could suggest and vote for that idea as a feature in our User Voice Forum: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

    I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Jessica and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the tickets resetting to zero when updating an event
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    This is an issue that should have normally been solved a couple of updates ago, but there might be something specific about your installation.

    Good evening Karen and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us and for adding your voice in.

    We are sorry to hear about the conflict with the Sensei plugin you have been experiencing and all the trouble it is causing.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Is it possible for us to easily revert back to an earlier version of ECP while the problem is researched?

    Absolutely, you can do that. You just need to make sure that your the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro have “matching” versions.

    You will also be contacted as soon as a fix is released.

    Thank you for your understanding and let me know if you need further assistance on this topic.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Alison,

    I’m glad my initial response was helpful to you and helped you make choices that work for you.
    Kudos on fixing the login issues too!

    I will happily continue to answer your questions.

    Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

    1) Can I add a custom field for “currency” to show up in the Event Cost section of the form

    2) Can I have a line of text display beside or right below the Event Website field that tells them to enter the URL of where they want ticket buyers to go to buy tickets.

    Yes you can. But this is a customization that you will need to tackle by either:

    I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Swami,

    Thank you for the update.

    Wow, that’s an impressive list of plugins. It is very likely that there is a conflict going on with one of the plugins in that list (although I realize that you already ran some tests)

    More specifically, there are 2 potential causes for these issues at this point:

    1. We recently discovered a major compatibility bug with the Sensei Plugin. I don’t have a fix date for it yet, but you will be contacted as soon as the bugfix is out.
    2. You have an event that is corrupted (perhaps because of the plugin bug above) or maybe because of how it was created ?

    My next recommended tests would be to:

    • Wipe your events clean (delete them)
    • Deactivate the Sensei plugin temporarily and try creating events again

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Bonsoir Gaël,

    Merci de nous écrire.

    Nous sommes désolés de constater que certains de vos clients ont été en mesure d’acheter des “tickets” plutôt que des billets.

    J’aimerais bien voir avec vous quelle peut en être la cause.

    Afin de partir du bon pied, vous serait-il possible de partager votre information de système complète (tel qu’expliqué dans l’article suivant) : https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ?

    Par ailleurs, avec l’information partielle que j’ai à ma disposition, je constate que vous utilisez des versions antérieures de nos plugiciels. Avez-vous une contre-indication à effectuer la mise à niveau aux dernières versions ?

    Cela serait particulièrement important au niveau de WooCommerce Tickets qui a été remplacé par Event Tickets plus. Il est important de suivre les instructions suivantes pour que cette mise à niveau s’effectue sans écueil: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/

    Bonne soirée,

    Good evening Michael,

    Actually, I did not make a mistake, the @media CSS queries are meant to take care of mobile versions only.

    In the CSS rule I provided, for example, it means that any device that has a screen of 767px and less will get that rule.

    You can read more about responsive design CSS here: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_rwd_mediaqueries.asp

    That being said, I’m sure you could tackle the issue another way (for example by not making the logo a fixed size or by preventing it from overlapping).

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hello Lasse,

    Thank you for taking the time to answer and do the proper tests.

    I did some additional inquiry on my end and I believe I found the cause of the issue.

    It seems like the wrong domain is defined in /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/rsvp.php at line 96 (‘event-tickets-plus’ should be replaced by ‘event-tickets’)

    I will open a bug ticket so that this gets fixed as part of an upcoming Maintenance Release. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be informed as soon as bugfix!

    In the meantime, just replacing the string above should work.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
