    Hey Marissa,

I am sorry our plugins did not work out for you.

For what it’s worth, it usually works great with the vast majority of themes out there.
It’s too bad you bumped into one that did not.

In any case, the important thing is that you have a plugin that works for you 🙂

Best of luck with your project and you are welcome back anytime in the future.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Swami,

I absolutely believe you and hope that you get to create one of the most advanced sites ever.

In regards to Sensei, very specifically, the bug is with version 1.9.5 of that plugin which breaks with version 4.1.3 of our plugins.
So you have a choice of downgrading our plugin or to downgrade Sensei to version 1.9.4.

I would try that first before deleting events.

As far as deleting events, unless you actually imported events automatically, it is not necessary to clean the events from the SQL table directly.
Deleting them from the WP-Admin dashboard should prove sufficient.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Scott,

Kudos on finding the cause of the issue!

Try the following CSS rule to fix the Month and top arrows

    .tribe-mini-calendar-nav span {
    color: #973f54;
    }

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Young,

Thank you for your system information.

There are a couple of things that I am noticing in your installation:

Normally, you should deactivate the previous version of the plugin (Woocommerce Tickets). In fact, if you haven’t done so already, could you just make sure that you have followed the steps described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/

Secondly I am noticing that the Event Tickets plugin is not installed on your site (and it is required to run Event Tickets Plus properly: https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets/

Could you go through these steps and tell me if your issue still persists ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening @Bob,

Thank you for chiming in and providing an alternative solution (using Sensei 1.9.4).

    It’s really appreciated.

Good evening Craig and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    1. Is Calendar Pro compatibility with non word press website or it has to have word press installed? If yes what are the minimum requirements and does it cost or is free.

For the moment, our products require a WordPress website, but you never know what the future holds. Stay tuned!

That being said, we do have several export and import premium add-ons available (gCalendar / ics, Facebook events, EventBrite). Some of which even support automated sync.

    2. Is the Scenario mentioned above is possible?

Some of it would be possible, but since our plugins require WordPress, you might need to take a different approach to this.

More importantly, there is no built-in way to synchronize multiple calendars across several websites.

The closest thing we have to what you are looking for is our Community Events plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

This gives users the ability to submit their own events but under one main calendar.

In any case, it would probably require some extensive customization.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

You could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

    3. Can each installation have its own username and password for security (would think so.) Just want to make sure.

In the context of Community Events, yes.

    4. can each installation independently customized colors etc ( we will keep the fields the same to maintain consistency across all installs).

If you find a customizer that is able to synchronize multiple calendar websites, then the answer is probably yes.

    5. Is there a limit on categories of events we can create, can we create sub categories. i.e Music > Classical, Jazz, Rock etc.

There are no limits on the number of categories you can create.

    6. Do you 30 day free trial for testing?

No, but we have a 30 day refund policy which lets you do pretty much the same thing.

    7. If we decide to go with 3 – 10 site licenses first can we change it to unlimited later depending on the need.

We will be glad to arrange something if you wish to upgrade your license along the way (probably by letting you pay the difference).

    8. Does calendar pro support sending event reminders to list of people entered in the system (load emails address using csv or text file etc.)

Not currently, but this feature is a highly requested one. Short term, you could probably have somebody do the customization for you.

You could also read our Themer’s guide to get a basic understanding of how the customizations work.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Aedan and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products and for suggesting this feature.

That being said, the proper place to suggest a feature or cast your vote on other features in our User Voice forum.

In the meantime, what you are looking for can actually be accomplished with some template customization.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

If that is slightly outside of your comfort zone, you could also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps.

Oops, I hit “submit” before I could actually answer your question – my bad.

Yes, CSS support is normally something we offer as part of our premium plugin support (aka when you buy our Pro plugin or any other premium add-on).

But I would still recommend trying my recommendations first 🙂

    Have a great day!

Good evening Marissa and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products. It’s truly appreciated.

However, please note that we do not offer support for our free plugin in this premium add-ons forum.

But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

If you don’t mind, in the future could you please post your support questions here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar ?

With that in mind, here a couple of tips to get you started towards resolution. Unfortunately any follow-up on these will have to be done over our WordPress.org forums:

    1. The main nav doesn’t work on any of the event pages

This sounds like there is a conflict (with either one of your plugins or with your theme).

I suggest you go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website). Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows you to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

    2. and the background color on the right is dark gray on all event pages (I added a background image that was a white square for the entire site) which looks crazy.

    3. The single event pages have too much space on the top between the name of event and event date and time.

This sounds like it might be coming from your theme CSS rules. Try playing around with ALL the different settings found in Events -> Settings -> Display to see if that changes anything.

Most likely, your theme’s CSS is overriding some of our default display rules. You can test that yourself by temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen.

Best regards and thank you for your understanding,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Sam and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    This is a great question.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are a couple of ways you could accomplish this, but this will most likely be done via customization.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

With that in mind, if you haven’t done so already, I would recommend reading our Themer’s guide. This will give you a sense of how making your own templates work.

The goal here will be to modify the list widget with a conditional for when it displays on the home page and probably applying a filter to the tribe_events_event_schedule_details() function for that scenario.

If you feel that is too involved to your liking, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Jim and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    That is a great question.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I guess there is no “right” answer on this one. In the end, it will depend on how you want to handle it.
If you remove the date and time out of the posts, the issue is that people will not know what is being cancelled (when was that event supposed to take place).

As an alternative, you might consider using the line-through text-decoration.

In any case, if you want to hide part of the information or use the line-through as described above, the best (and only) “simple” solution would be to do it via CSS. To do that you will need rules by post ID.

Here’s what this might look like in the single event view:

    .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-schedule h2, .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-start-date, .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-start-time {text-decoration: line-through}

    or

    .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-schedule h2, .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-start-date, .postid-2140 #tribe-events .tribe-events-start-time{display: none !important;}

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Michael and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

    This is a great question.

Actually, the “Reset filters” link is for the filter bar, not the search bar. This is why clicking on it has no effect on the search bar.

As such, it is not a bug.

Is there anything else I can help you with today ?

Good evening Rob and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Just to set expectations, you are 100% right, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

Actually the tribe_events post type uses the WordPress loop so in essence it behaves exactly like a “normal” post (except for the name and the meta data). This is why you are not seeing anything special in the post-new.php file.

Your best bet would probably be to simply use a custom field plugin that would add the fields to the tribe_events post type

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Brian and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the month of May not showing up!
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, you mentioned that you believe this could be a theme conflict. Have you gone through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) ?

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
