Salutations,

MemberGood evening Amy and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us again and for providing your system information.
We are sorry to hear about the RSVP option disappearing on you and that you have been struggling with Event Tickets Plus. Yikes, that’s not good at all!
I would love to help you with this topic.Since we have talked before and there were some non-conventional things going on (if I remember correctly), I’d like to propose the following:
- Could you send me a copy of your complete WordPress theme file (in a zip file in a private reply) – I would like to run some tests)
- Could you also provide me with some screenshots of all the settings (Edit event screen) on an event where the RSVP ticket has disappeared
That being said, I am very sorry that you have been particularly unlucky so far. Hopefully, we can put an end to this.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening MATHIJS and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the error message you have been getting while trying to use the Community Events add-on.
I would love to help you with this topic.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Secondly, I believe you are using WPML. If that is the case, how you are setup will make a huge difference and, at this point Community Events is not officially supported with WPML. Only the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro are.
Can you confirm that this is the case ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Carole Anne,
Thank you for sharing the system information and for the .htaccess file.
Let me apologize for the delay as I understand that this a super important issue for you.
However, please note that based on our support policy, we typically try to answer once every 24 hours during business days.Thank you for your understanding.
That being said, I took a careful look at your system information and your .htaccess file.
I am noticing that you are using W3 Total Cache.
This is a great plugin, but for some unknown reason, on certain webhosts with certain website configurations it tends to create error 500s.As a first measure, I would suggest replacing the .htaccess file’s content with the standard basic WordPress content as suggested here: https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess
Let me know if that solves the issue.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Holly,
Thank you for sharing your system information.
The specific duplicate content bug for Community Events was fixed as part of version 4.1.1 of that plugin.
The only other cause I can think of is that there might be some template customization (based on code prior to that version) that is found either in the /tribe-events/ folder or in the functions.php file of your WordPress directory.
Could you confirm is there is such a folder in your WordPress theme’s directory ?
Also, did my suggest CSS fix work for you ?
Have a great day!

MemberHey Rob,
I don’t believe that there is a bug, however it’s hard to know for sure based on the limited support I can provide on this topic.
That being said, adding the custom field to the post type does not necessarily mean that it will be returned by default when viewing the event.
It is very likely that you will need to do some template customization or to use a filter to do so.If you are still stuck with this, I would advise that you hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Another much simpler solution, would be to take advantage of our Pro additional fields: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-additional-fields/
I realize you are only looking to use these in the backend, but perhaps you could simply hide them from the front-end via CSS.
Have a great day!

MemberHey Chris,
I believe I miscommunicated what I was trying to say – my bad.
Let me try this again. Hopefully, I’ll be able to convey what I mean a bit better:
- The users are not able to set additional fields, they will simply view them
- The specific screenshot you are referring to is what users see when they view those fields
- As you might have noticed, when the users view those fields, they also see a section header for those fields (“Other”)
- Unfortunately, that “Other” section header is not visible in the backend (where you define the fields) AND for now, unless you use some type of customization, there is no “Section header” field that you can add. At best, you could rename “Other” to something else should you want to.
Let me know if that is a bit clearer.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Vicki,
Thank you for providing us with your system information.
Based on that, I believe that upgrading your the Events Calendar plugins to the latest versions will solve your issues.
You are currently at version 4.05 and the latest versions are 4.1.xThe bug you are describing was solved in one of our previous releases.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Brian,
Thank you for doing the tests and for sharing your system information.
Hang in there as we try to figure out what is causing the issues!
If you get a chance, I would still like to know if the issues go away when going through the testing for conflicts procedure or at least if you revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen ?
Aside from that, the 2 other things that might not be helping are:
- Your PHP version (officially WordPress recommends using at least PHP 5.6, but I find PHP 5.4 and up usually works great)
- I am unsure of how strict your Bulletproof Security settings are, but that might be worth checking into
Let me know what you find out,
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Stephanie,
These are great ideas for workarounds. Kudos on that! Very creative.
a 20% coupon code only to be used on the event processed at WooCommerce Checkout. Is this possible?
Yes, this is totally possible.
As you might guess, WooCommerce support is slightly out of what we can fully counsel you on, but you will probably be interested in reading the following article to get a sense of how that works: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/coupon-management/
As you’ll see, coupons can be setup pretty much anyway you like them.
Once you get familiar with that, you can even put the discounts directly in URLs should you want to: https://www.woothemes.com/products/url-coupons/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Renee and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.The Events Calendar Pro is an awesome product, but it mostly adds premium features such as:
- Recurring Events
- Additional views
- Advanced widgets
- Shortcodes
I recommend you take a look at the table in the following page to get a complete list: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
To be able to sell Tickets (via a WordPress E-commerce solution of your choice – such as WooCommerce), you will need to use our Event Tickets Plus premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
It is not necessary to have the Events Calendar Pro to run our Event Tickets Plus add-on.
Finally, if you are interested in purchasing several of our add-ons, I recommend you take a look at our bundles: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Jo and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry that recurring events are not working as expected when it comes to selling tickets.
I would love to help you with this topic.You do not need the Events Calendar Pro to use Event Tickets Plus.
However, you will be interested to know that we have indeed started working on recurring Event Support for tickets.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!
Is there anything else I can help you with today ?

MemberGood evening Jesse,
Thank you for searching and for sharing your system information.
On a side note, I am noticing you did not update to the latest version of our the Events Calendar Pro plugin (4.1.3), although this will not solve the current issue, you might be interested in doing so.
Back to the issue at play here, after some further testing, your theme is indeed forcing “mobile” display on all devices. The dots not displaying the info when you hover is the correct mobile behaviour.
You can see that for yourself if you temporarily switch back to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty-fifteen. Normally, hovering on the dates should work fine.
There are a couple of ways to go about this:
- Contact the theme author to see how you can bypass mobile view on the desktop at least for specific URLs
- Send me a copy of your WordPress theme folder (in a zip file in a private reply). I’ll take a look at it to see if I can’t find anything obvious.

MemberGood evening Jeroen,
Thank you for the system information.
Here are a couple of CSS rules that should improve the look of your + and – buttons
.quantity.buttons_added .plus, .quantity.buttons_added .minus {
display: inline-block;
float: left;
margin-left:0px !important;
padding: 16px 20px !important;
}.quantity.buttons_added .tribe-ticket-quantity {
width: 70px;
display: inline-block;
float: left;
}Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
