Event search across multisites?

Hello,

My client has plans to publish courses (that’s events to me and you!) for junior doctors, across 15 multisites.

We currently provide courses on one website (of our multisite install) and this works great but if we were to expand to more multisites, is it possible to perform a course search across these multisites?

I’ve been doing a bit of Googling this morning and while it seems plausible using plugins, I wouldn’t want to use them as they haven’t been updated in over two years 🙁

Do you have any suggestions as to how we might best achieve this?

In order of preference, we are looking to search via:

Any of the multisite Calendar Events search fields
The primary multisite website WordPress search field
A custom Google search

Any help much appreciated.

I would love to help you with this topic.

Simply put, there is no built-in or simple way to achieve this.

Your best bet would be to embed some kind of Google Custom search in my opinion:

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
