    Hey Ryan,

Thank you for providing the information requested.

I ran several tests and I was able to reproduce the issue.

There seems to be a glitch with recurrence rules while using UTC format timezones.

This a legitimate bug for which I have opened a bug ticket.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.

In the meantime, you could switch to the Toronto timezone for your events and perhaps in your WordPress settings and the Events Calendar settings.

    This resolve the issue.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Matthew,

Thank you for writing back and for going through those tests.

I am glad that you managed to identify the culprit.
There is a chance that you could get this theme to work by:

    • Removing any Events Calendar template customization found in it
    • Updating the template customizations so that they do not break

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

But, if this is beyond your zone of comfort, I can offer to at least remove the customizations for you provided you can send me a link to a .zip file of your WordPress theme AND/OR child theme.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Caden and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

How do I change the whole color scheme of the calendar on my site. It’s just the default white and grey right now and I’m finding it hard to read. Do I have to custom css all of this?

There are a couple of things you could do to change the look of your calendar, you could:

    • Try the different settings under Events -> Settings -> Display (Default stylesheet used for events templates)
    • Add custom CSS to your theme or child theme. You might want to <u>read our Themer’s guide</u> to get a sense of how that works.
    • Use a WordPress theme that is already customized for usage with the Events Calendar

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Robert and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for bringing this to our attention.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you have been experiencing with the Events list widgets on a non-home page.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that has been identified by other users as a legitimate bug which is now one of our top priorities.
We are even in touch with the good folks behind Sensei to find a workaround.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.

The only known complete workaround for now is to downgrade Sensei back to 1.9.4 after a complete backup.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Vigil and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

    – Is there a way for admins to keep track of who and when made rspv’s on events?

Yes there is, as all the information is stored in the Database as tribe_rsvp_attendees posts (including timestamp and author).
Most of that information is also available when an admin clicks on “Attendees” while hovering over the events

You might also be interested in receiving emails for each reservation by using and configuring the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bnfw/

    – Is there a way for users to see what events they applied for (rspv)

    Unfortunately, not currently.

That being said, you could probably achieve that through template customization.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

As an alternative, you could also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Rob and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

There are a couple of things you could do:

    • You could, after temporarily altering their customer email address, resend tickets directly in the WooCommerce order (using the “Tickets” action for the Order Actions)
    • You could add a rule to send a copy of all tickets email to an admin controlled email address using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bnfw/ allowing for printing on the spot

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Carly and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about some of your customers using Hotmail not receiving their ticket emails.
I would love to help you with this topic.

What is most likely going on, is that the ticket emails are blocked by Hotmail’s spam filters.

The very first recommendation I would have for you would be to switch from the built-in WordPress generated emails to a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

That way, your ticket emails will be sent using a SMTP server of a recognized email address.
In turn, this should decrease the number of people not receiving the tickets.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the confusion created in your website visitors.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You are right, by default, the Events Calendar tends to use the archive.php, functions.php and category.php files of our customers WordPress theme.

Since this mostly a template specific issue, you could always tweak that template to add conditionals to deal with the calendar related pages.

But, as an alternative, I would recommend trying to change the setting under Events -> Settings -> Display (specifically the Events template setting)

If that does not work, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Ideally, could you also include a .zip file link to your WordPress theme or child theme ?

    Good evening Laura,

I’m sorry this did not work out as intended.

Could you try the following rule instead ?

    .eventForm select {
    max-width: 170px !important;
    }

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening,

Let me know how that goes.

If you are going to try my first suggestion, a lot of our customers use the following plugin to redirect their home page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-pagepost-redirect-plugin/

    Good evening Abigail,

Thank you so much once again for all of your very valuable feedback.
It certainly helps us grow and improve.

I think what may have happened is that I might have first chosen the RSVP when adding the tickets, and then once you do that, you can’t change your mind and opt for Woo Commerce.

That is 100% correct. Once you create an RSVP ticket you can’t convert it to a WooCommerce ticket. We are sorry for the confusion this created.

In fact, we are working on a fix to prevent this from happening in the future.

Your points are well taken regarding the disclaimers about our service policies. Thank you for offering this insight.

when using the RSVp function, is there a way to get an email notification (the way I receive one for tickets)?

I am guessing you are referring to email notifications to the admin.

Built-in, that feature is unfortunately not included.

But a lot of our customers have decided to use the following plugin to accomplish just that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bnfw/

As an alternative, you could also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Keinan and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

As a side note, before we begin, in the future, could you please post such questions in our premium forums for the Events Calendar Pro using your login information ?

How do I go about adding a new filter field?

You can do that in 2 ways:

    1. By reading the following article and using our interface: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-filter-bar/
    2. Through a code snippet in your functions.php file: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/understanding-the-tribe-events-bar/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
