    Good evening Abigail,

    Thank you for writing back.

My apologies for confusing this with the ticket email itself. For the record, as it is my job and pleasure to help you, please know that you are not bothering me. In fact, I would like nothing more than to be able to iron out the last few glitches you are experiencing.

Based on what you have told me so far, you are absolutely right. Things worked perfectly for you prior to the upgrade form WooTickets to Event Tickets Plus. There is no argument there.

With that in mind, let’s focus on the last issue you are experiencing, which is that you are not receiving notifications from WooCommerce when a ticket order is placed.

This can be due to a number of things, including WordPress, Bluehost and even WooCommerce updates.

In any case, I am much more interested in the resolution of this than the cause. The faster we can fix it, the more time you can spend on non website related matters 🙂

I am not sure if you are receiving notifications for other WooCommerce purchases (which would be a good test to run).
But, as I suggested before your best bet is to not use WordPress built-in mailing as a first step, but ensure emails get sent through a proper email address.

As a side note, I personally set up a ton of WooCommerce websites for my clients and I always make sure to have that specific plugin (or an equivalent one) installed. Based on extensive experience, on most servers and web hosts this is the fastest and surest way to do things.

Would you mind giving this a shot and letting me know how this goes ?

If you need help setting this up, I’ll be able to pitch in.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello all,

@Christian and @Ryan: one of our Dev is working on providing a snippet that adds the ticket number back to the export

    @Kattouf
: in the meantime you can get all of the other info by putting that snippet in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme or child theme

    Best regards,

Good evening Marsha and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the Internal Server Error message and the fact that your website access crashed as a result.

Please know that this is totally unintended behaviour on our end and not a reflection of how the upgrade process for any of our plugin usually goes. We apologize for all the inconvenience this has caused.

The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

With that in mind, short term, to regain access to your website, if you haven’t already, you can simply delete the events calendar Pro plugin using FTP.

It looks like you were particularly unlucky in the upgrade process and without more info, it’s hard to tell what the cause of the issue is. It could be a server hiccup, a conflict with another plugin, the PHP version of the server and a few other things.

I would like to offer to make it right and troubleshoot this if you would like me to.

If that is the case, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Once again, we are terribly sorry about that experience.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Dear Matt,

Thank you for the good words and the files.
Unfortunately, it seems like there are several files missing from the theme files you sent me:

    • /includes/widgets/
    • /required-plugins/
    • etc..

Could you please resend a link to a complete copy ?

if there were ever to be an upload to update this theme that we are currently using, would that not delete all the changes?

    Yes, that is correct.

This is why we always recommend:

    • Making a backup of everything
    • Preferably use a child-theme to do customizations
    • Trying updates on a test/staging server or on a local install to avoid surprises

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Virgil,

    Thank you for writing back.

If a user is already logged in into the site, I don’t need the ‘rspv’ to ask for email and name. Can the plugin use the existing user details?

    That’s a great question.
Currently there is no built-in way for that. But I am pretty sure that this could be achieved with some customizations and/or usage of third-party plugins.

The good news is that this looks a lot like the following feature request: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/10949349-allow-users-to-rsvp-to-community-events

You are more than welcome to vote for that feature and add your comments.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Hans-Gerd,

As promised, I ran this past one of our senior Dev to see what he thought.
After that conversation, my best working theory is that:

This could be a bug in the search bar Day view that only applies to recurring events.

Would you mind running a simple test to confirm if this happens both for recurring and non-recurring events?

Best regards and thank you for your collaboration through this,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Teresa and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing your system information.

We are sorry to hear about the Add HTML before content is not working as expected for you.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You are right, that person did have a similar problem to yours. However, since this is a relatively old thread, I believe it’s better to start afresh.

By the looks of it, it does sound like there is a conflict at play. It could be a conflict stemming from:

    • Your PHP version ( WordPress recommends 5.6 or higher, but I would say at least 5.4 is a good idea if you can)
    • Your WordPress theme
    • Another plugin
    • A customization in your WordPress theme or child theme

Based on the fact that your site has a lot of traffic, this leaves us with the following options:

    1. Use a temporary maintenance page to quickly perform some tests
    2. Make a copy of the site on a staging server or on a local install

If neither of these options are a possibility, I would at least do the following:

    • Check with your web host to see if you can’t upgrade your version of PHP
    • Send me a screenshot of your Events -> Settings -> General page settings
    • Please confirm what URL you are using for your Community Events page

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Fred and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that you can totally achieve this and much more.
The simplest way to do this is through some template customization.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

If that is slightly outside of your comfort zone, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

What you would need to do is tweak the $date_without_year_format to add the Day’s name (long or short version), at least for the list view. Something along the lines of :

    $date_without_year_format = tribe_get_date_format('D F j, Y');

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Keinan,

    Thank you for your answer.

It’s hard to tell exactly what happened without more information.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your client’s complete system information using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, did you go through the following document ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-filter-bar/

Last but not least, it is possible that this is due to some type of conflict, but I’ll be able to tell better after receiving the system info.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Matthias and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

To do a better job at answering, I would need a few screenshots and/or URLs to look at your specific situation.

Also, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

With that in mind, if you had a higher hierarchy CSS rule (through specification), it should normally have priority, even with JavaScript at play. Here’s an example of what that would look like:

    .tribe-week-grid-wrapper .tribe-week-grid-block {
    height: 80px!important;
    }

    1. a way to set the default ticket number to 1 vs 0

Yes there is as explained by my colleague Nico here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/changing-default-ticket-quantity-wo-woocommerce/#post-1116789

    2. a way to issue an error message vs the current misleading confirmation message

Yes, you could override the current message in a few ways:

    3. a way to insert a bold instruction on the RSVP screen to tell the user to enter the # tickets desired

Yes, you could do that either in the content section OR using the second method from the previous question.

Finally, as an alternative, you could also use WooCommerce combined with Event Tickets Plus to “sell” free tickets (this would also offer a few additional feature)

Let me know if that helps.

    1. Could you please help find where I can change “Postal Code” to “Post Code” on the front end? This is on the add events page for the users of my community.

There are a couple of ways to do this:
