Thank you for your good words and for taking time to answer.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get in touch with the specific Dev I had in mind today since there a few national holidays this week in America.
Maybe there is even the possibility of a menu option that allows a day view without using a custom link. As standard view we selected the list view in the settings of TEC.
We are actually working at expanding our shortcode possibilities to enable embedding different view on the pages of your choice.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned! In the meantime, perhaps you could indeed use a different strategy to get what you are looking for.
A snippet such as the ones discussed here could help:- https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/display-todays-events-shortcode-or-widget/#post-1106203

Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

thanks for your answer and for the threads with the snippets to solve the problem in the meantime.
I’ll try this solutions in the next few days.
It would be great if the Dev could have a look next days at the problem.
Thanks a lot for your assistance.Best regards

Thank you for your understanding and good words.
As soon as I manage to get that second opinion, I will write back.
Let me know it goes on your end as well.
Best regards,
Geoff B.May 25, 2016 at 8:40 pm #1119005Geoff B.MemberGood evening Hans-Gerd,
As promised, I ran this past one of our senior Dev to see what he thought.
After that conversation, my best working theory is that:This could be a bug in the search bar Day view that only applies to recurring events.
Would you mind running a simple test to confirm if this happens both for recurring and non-recurring events?
Best regards and thank you for your collaboration through this,
Geoff B.
May 25, 2016 at 11:32 pm #1119040Hans-GerdParticipantHey Goeff,
thanks for your answer and for your great assistance. This could be a bug in the search bar Day view that only applies to recurring events.
Unfortunately I can’t determine that the bug only applies to recurring events. I have tried with
recurring events and normal events and and in both cases it is the same problem.More details, I write you as private replay
Best regards
