MemberGood afternoon Jonathan and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the Events page not displaying properly on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. It looks like the issue you are experiencing is related to the X theme specifically. Could you tell me which version you are using ?
One quick test you could run is go to Events -> Settings -> Display and make sure you are using the “Default Events Template” under “Events Template”.
If I am right about this, you should be getting an error message while trying to display the events page (hence confirming the X theme compatibility issue).
We have a bug ticket opened for that purpose. Full disclosure, at the moment we are working on increasing WPML compatibility with all themes. In fact there should be an imminent release from the awesome folks from WPML to address just that.
I am not sure this will help with your specific issue at this point. But I hope it will.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
Geoff B.Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon boxchilli and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear that the option to capture additional attendee information is not showing up on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic. In all likelihood, this is caused by a conflict. Either with your WordPress theme or with a WooCommerce related plugin.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Could you also please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.As a side note, if you are able to, could you temporarily switch back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen and see what happens ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Olaf and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing while trying to create WooCommerce tickets.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a side note, it is currently not possible to change ticket types after they have been initially created.
Furthermore, I believe you might have accidentally posted this in the incorrect forum (pre-sales).
Provided you have a valid Event Tickets Plus license, you would benefit from better support by going to: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/post/ and selecting Event Tickets Plus from the list (after you login). With that in mind, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

MemberGood afternoon Joshua,
Thank you for clarifying that.
I believe you might be experiencing a bug with Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus not working well when standalone.
The good news is that there is a temporary workaround for that.Could you please install the Events Calendar free plugin (even if you are not using it): https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
This should fix things for now.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when fix is released.

MemberGood afternoon Mitch,
Thank you for the system information and the screenshots.
As a side note, you might want to hit that “Merge duplicates” button located in Events -> Settings -> General.
I unfortunately was not able to see the photo view on your install (I believe you might have deactivated it under Events -> Settings -> Display), therefore I cannot be 100% sure, but…
It looks like there might be a conflict at play here.
My first recommendation would be to reactivate the view and then go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
If that is not possible, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Rhett,
Thank you for the system information and for the screenshot.
As a side note, you might want to click on the “Merge Duplicate” button located in Events -> Settings -> General.
If you have not done so already, I would recommend trying to re-save your permalinks in case that helps.
If it does not, by the looks of it, I am pretty sure there is some type of conflict at play on your install.
Either with your WordPress theme, a template customization or with another plugin. The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

MemberGood afternoon Karen,
That is a great question. The short answer is no.
If you delete the plugin, the events should still be there. The reason being that the events themselves are stored in the wp_posts Database table. That being said, it is always safer to do a database backup before performing any type of major change such as this one.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberHey Avinash,
I am sorry to hear this did not go as planned on your end.
The good news is that the theme you are using should not matter.
This is because the way our plugin works. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme and child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? (in a private reply)

MemberGood afternoon William,
I am super stoked that all is clear for you now.
As a side note, the master event never gets deleted because it is actually needed to control all the recurring ones.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
