Good evening James and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not working properly for you.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

The reason I am asking is that somehow the list of your plugins is not showing up in the current system information we received.

Secondly, could you please share a screenshot of your recurring event rules so that I can try to replicate ?

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello again Gregg,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about these non-existing URLs creeping up in the Google Search console.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on what I am seeing, I would recommend 2 things to see if that helps:

    1. Could you update your the Events Calendar Pro to the latest version (it is currently not matching the Events Calendar free – this is know to cause issues) ?
    2. Would you mind completely emptying the cache and running the Google Search console again ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Gregg and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is you are fully entitled to a partial refund since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the partial refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here and make sure you reference this thread.

Let me know how that goes.

Good afternoon Josh and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Downgrading the licence will require some manual intervention on our end.

    Here are the options available:

    1. I can immediately switch your license down to personal (if that is OK with you). This way the renewal option will be for a personal license.
    2. You can let the license go until expiry. Once that is done, we can manually convert it to personal. This will let you renew only a personal license.

Let me know which suits your needs better.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Would you mind heading over to Events -> Settings -> Display and making sure the additional views are available (look for the checkboxes) ?

Good afternoon Devorah and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about your site crashing when attempting an update.
I would love to help you with this topic.

To address the site crash, you can simply rename the plugins folder to something like z_events-calendar-pro temporarily (this will deactivate the plugin).

As for the license, it is most likely stored in the database, but the easiest way to get it is in Events -> Settings -> Licence.

Short term, what you could do is downgrade your the Events Calendar free plugin to match your Pro plugin version: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

This way your site will not crash 🙂

Let me know how that goes.

As for the exact cause, my best guess (without visiting your site) is that this is related to some mixed content issue (https vs http).

Some of our users have had success fixing these by:

    1. Reviewing their SSL setup
    2. Installing and tweaking the following plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/

Good afternoon Peter and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the update taking your site down. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

What I am noticing is that your version of the Events Calendar is fairly old.
The first thing I would recommend is updating it.

The reason for this is that un-matching versions of our plugins create huge issues.

Normally, the upgrade should work after that.

Let me know how that goes.

    Good afternoon Preben,

Thank you for your kind words.

As I suspected, the culprit is found in /Canvas/comments.php around line 81

This leaves you with 3 options:

    1. Check with Woothemes if they have an up to date language file for that theme in your language
    2. Create a language file for your language yourself (which seems to be the case, but I am not sure it is up to date – updating from the pot file needs to be performed)
    3. Edit line 81 and hardcode the translated term for “No comment” (and any other string from that template that needs

    Hey Walter,

No worries. For some reason, the additional CSS rule does not seem to be in your file ?

Here is an updated version of the CSS file: admin_style_css

You can simply replace the one found under: /wp-content/themes/directory-theme/include/assets/css/admin_style.css

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Hans,

As promised, I followed up on this one.

It looks like there are no quick fixes available. As such, I have opened a ticket to improve on our built-in functionality, including support for the Mollie gateway.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Lynn,

Sorry for the late reply. This one slipped under the radar for some reason.

Thank you for your great words, it’s really appreciated.

You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

    Hey Oliver,

Wow! I want to apologize for not seeing your update sooner (I am not sure how that happened).

To answer your question, upon further investigation, we have very limited ability to impact that aspect 🙁

It looks like only PTE or GTE from Glotpress have such power. I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

In the meantime, in case that helps, I know some of our users will block auto-updates of strings (to prevent the formal or informal versions overwriting their preferred choice): https://wpml.org/forums/topic/updating-translation-changes-german-formal-to-informal/#post-768489

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Nicolas,

Thank you for writing back and running those tests.

I apologize for the delay answering.

Unfortunately, we are closed on weekends and to make matters worst, we had a really high volume of requests to deal with following Black Friday / Cyber Monday.

But we are all good now!

I am sorry the insecure content fixer did not yield any results.

Out of curiosity, is there any chance you could have a staging site setup on your end (a clone of your live website) ? This could be super useful to test upgrades and in this case, push the troubleshooting further.

On my end, I would like to add your specific case to the bug ticket.
In order to do that, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

My goal is to try to reproduce your specific environment the best I can.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
