GuestA developer made my website for me and bought the events calendar PRO version.
Whenever I try to activate the plugin , my site crashes.
I cannot access my site or the admin section.I would love to get support, but where can I find out where he saved my license key. Is it saved in the database that I can access it?

MemberGood afternoon Devorah and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about your site crashing when attempting an update.
I would love to help you with this topic. To address the site crash, you can simply rename the plugins folder to something like z_events-calendar-pro temporarily (this will deactivate the plugin).
As for the license, it is most likely stored in the database, but the easiest way to get it is in Events -> Settings -> Licence.
Short term, what you could do is downgrade your the Events Calendar free plugin to match your Pro plugin version: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
This way your site will not crash 🙂
Let me know how that goes.

GuestThe free version works just fine.
I am trying to utilize the pro version features.
I can get my site back up.
But how do I figure out what’s causing the problem?
I tried it on a simple theme and it didn’t help .November 30, 2016 at 1:18 pm #1199981Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon Devorah,
Without having access to your complete system information using the instructions found in the following link, it is hard to say.
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Ideally, I would recommend logging in theEventsCalendar.com with the email address used to purchase the Events Calendar Pro.
This way you can have access to private replies (to share that info). You will also need to open a premium support thread for that.
The other alternative is to send that info via email while referencing this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/contact/
My best guess is that you are using non-matching versions of our plugins (between Pro and free).
Best regards,
Geoff B.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
