I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble with your imports. Let me help you troubleshoot this.
First, I noticed you are using an older version of WordPress 4.8.5, could you please update to the latest version and see if any difference?
We always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out and make all plugins, theme and WordPress core updates without disrupting the live site.
If you still experience problems, please share with us the file or URL where you are trying to import events from and let us know one of the events that don’t get the title and description imported.
Thanks,
VictorVictor

MemberHi Peterson!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.
Could you please share with us (in a private reply if you’d like) the gCal URL where you are trying to import events from? We’ll run some tests on our end and see if we can reproduce.
Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.
Thanks,

MemberHi Melissa!
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing that issue. Let me help you with the troubleshooting.
First, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try reproducing the issue a few times (navigating to the attendee list), so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.
Also, could you please see if there are any console errors by inspecting the attendees page? We have an article that explains how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/
Please let me know about it.
Thanks,

MemberHi Marisa!
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
That seems a strange issue. Let me help you with it.
It looks like there is some kind of redirection once you navigate to that event’s URL. Could you please try flushing your permalinks structure by going to wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks and just click save.
Also, make sure you are using our https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/ and see if any difference.
If none of the above works, then it can be related to a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow the problem down please go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let us know what you find in the process.
I can see that you are using a plugin called Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin. I’m not really familiar with it, but you might want to start by deactivating it and see if something changes.
We suggest you setup a dev/staging site so you can make all these tests without disrupting the live site. We also encourage to make a full backup of your site, both database and files so in case something goes wrong you can always restore your site.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks,

MemberHi Clemens!
I’m sorry you are experiencing that issue. Let me help you with it.
Could you please share with us (in a private reply if you’d like) the URL from where you are importing events from?
Also, please point us to one of the events you are having the issue with. We’ll run some tests and see if we can reproduce.
Additionally, please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/. We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.
Thanks,

MemberHi Chris!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you troubleshoot that issue.
I could not reproduce the issue you mention with the link you provided. Could you please let me know the link to where you are experiencing the issue in?
As you mentioned a permalink issue, please make sure you are using our permalinks best practices > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/ and see if any difference.
Also, I see you have tried the following:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?
If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting
Thanks,

MemberHi Jonathan!
Thanks for following up with this. I really understand your situation.
I will try to come up with a working snippet to accomplish what you are looking for. However, it might take me a couple of days before I can take a look into this, depending on our help desk load.
I will come back as soon as I have something, so please hang in there 🙂
Thanks,
VictorVictor

MemberHi Cy!
It is possible to create manual orders for a ticket product as a workaround if you use WooCommerce. You can learn more about this > https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#section-5
As for the user roles to create orders, you can learn more about WooCommerce built-in roles and capabilities > https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/roles-capabilities/. If you want to create a more complex set of roles for your site’s admin we have an interesting article on how to do it > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
Once you create a new order, the tickets will be generated according to the tickets settings > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/woocommerce-specific-ticket-settings/ and you can also send the ticket emails right from the order if the email address has been entered.
As a reference, let me point you to our new user primer guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know.

VictorVictor
MemberHi Mary!
Sure! Let me try to help you with that.
Try adding the following CSS styles to your theme’s styles.css file or using the WordPress customizer ( Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS ).
.single-tribe_events #tribe-events-content .tribe-events-event-meta dt {
line-height: 1.5;
}Let me know if that works for you 🙂

MemberHi Peter!
Thanks for following up with this.
I can see the issue now, but I think we could be dealing with a different conflict.
Are you making any template overrides in your theme? You can verify this by going to your theme folder and see if there is a folder named /tribe-events. If so, please try removing it and see if any changes.
Also, do you have any custom coding in place in your theme’s functions.php file or in a custom plugin? Try removing/deactivating those customizations and see if any difference.
Additionally, could you please copy and paste your latest system information in a private reply?
Thanks,
VictorVictor
MemberHi Brett!
Thanks for your patience.
I have created a report to apply the code changes to the Tribe__Events__Pro__Mini_Calendar_Widget class. It still has to undergo code review and QA, so I cannot commit to a date for when this will be released, but rest assured we will take it into account for one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.
I will set this thread’s status to “Pending Fix” and link it to the report so we will notify you once the change is made in a release.
We appreciate your input with this topic.
Best,
