    Hi,

Is there a logged in view for someone on a door to sell tickets live? It is like a direct sale with no ticket generated?

The other scenario is a physical box office, where we have multiple people selling tickets to walk-ins.

    Hi Cy!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, there is no built-in functionality similar to a “Point of sale” for tickets. However, I do know some users solve this need and by manually creating a WooCommerce order for the tickets.

I’m not sure how ideal of a solution that is for your specific use case, but let me note that we have a pretty cool refund policy you should know about, so in case our plugins don’t meet your needs you can ask for a full refund within 30-day of purchase > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions 🙂

    Best,
    Victor

    Hi Victor,

I think I have solved door sales (which need no details) outside the system.

For “point of sale” before an event where the user details are required, is there a work around?

For example: Can I create a user level login that lets an employee type in details and issues tickets directly from the backend? It would not process the money, but have a flag that it was paid and be able to be reported on by the username or some other flag?

Your refunds are nice, but they do not refund the development cost which is much higher than your annual fees.

    Hi Cy!

It is possible to create manual orders for a ticket product as a workaround if you use WooCommerce. You can learn more about this > https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#section-5

As for the user roles to create orders, you can learn more about WooCommerce built-in roles and capabilities > https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/roles-capabilities/. If you want to create a more complex set of roles for your site’s admin we have an interesting article on how to do it > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/

Once you create a new order, the tickets will be generated according to the tickets settings > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/woocommerce-specific-ticket-settings/ and you can also send the ticket emails right from the order if the email address has been entered.

As a reference, let me point you to our new user primer guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/

Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know.

    Best,
    Victor
