ParticipantHello!
I’m getting an error when I try to setup a scheduled google calendar import.
I put in the details and the right calendar url (I tested it on our dev server) and then hit preview. The spinner will spin and nothing happens.
The console gives me this error:
XML Parsing Error: syntax error
Location: http://sitename/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=tribe_aggregator_create_import
Line Number 12, Column 50:Thoughts?
Thanks!

MemberHi Peterson!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.
Could you please share with us (in a private reply if you’d like) the gCal URL where you are trying to import events from? We’ll run some tests on our end and see if we can reproduce.
Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.
Thanks,

MemberHi Peterson!
Thanks for coming back with the URL.
I ran a few tests and the preview is working for me without any errors.
We think this could be caused by a PHP error and as a result it throws off the JS parsing error. Please let us know about the debug.log file, this will mostly sure let us know where the error is coming from.
Thanks,

MemberHi Peterson!
Thanks for following up with this.
First, let me apologise for the delay in getting back to you. We’ve been out on our annual team trip and we are slowly getting back to normal response times.
I see you have tried the following:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Just to confirm we are not dealing with a theme or plugin conflict. Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?
If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting.
We suggest you setup a dev/staging site so you can make all these tests without disrupting the live site. We also encourage to make a full backup of your site, both database and files so in case something goes wrong you can always restore your site.
Please let me know how that goes.
Thanks,
