In the meantime,
please have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/
In addition, you can check out some of the solutions provided in this forum post:

I would also recommend looking into some of the plugins in this blog post, as they may be able to help you pinpoint where site slowness may be occurring:

KeymasterHi Raymond,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can try editing the Featured Images with some CSS and adding that to your WordPress Customizer or theme’s stylesheet.
You can also try a third-party plugin, like this one, which can help you to edit your Featured Images.
Let us know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Brian,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can keep both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. You will not lose your events with the addition of this plugin.
You can add a custom URL field by going to Events Settings < Additional Fields and creating a custom field there.
Let us know how it goes and if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Benny,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, and trying to copy and edit the template that you are referring to.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

KeymasterHi Ryan,
Yes, with Filter Bar, you do not have to include all of the available filter options. You can choose which filters your users can view and select from.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Dallas,
Thanks for providing me with all of that information. Unfortunately, I can confirm that this is related to a known bug. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.
I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Allen,
Thanks for all of that information. It seems that Elementor has a similar policy that we do, in that we cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party plugin that we encounter.
You may be able to edit the input on the type=”hidden” that you found. You can edit CSS by going to the WordPress Customizer or by editing your theme’s (or child theme’s) stylesheet.
You may also be interested in trying your hand at editing our templates and views to see if you are able to make things work that way. Our Themer’s Guide is a great place to start.

KeymasterI’m glad that you were able to find the root of the issue, and that everything seems to be working as expected with a3 Lazy Load plugin disabled.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any recommendations related to that plugin, however you are welcome to reach out to the developers of that plugin for assistance, or try another Lazy Load plugin. Here is a list of some others to try.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Michael,
Great, thanks for all of this information!
As far as this URL goes (https://www.facebook.com/groups/eventsincastlerock/events/), the actual reason why these events are not being imported is because it is a “Closed Group” and you can only import events from a public group.
With this URL (https://www.facebook.com/pg/DowntownCastleRock/events/ ), I cannot import with this URL, most likely because it is a linked group to the above group, even though this group is public. I can, however, import individual events without any issue. Let me know if you have the same results. I understand that this is not a ideal situation, but it may be a way to populate your calendar for now.
We were having some earlier issues with our server, which may be why you saw that new error, though everything is resolved related to our server now, so you should not see that message any more. Let me know what you see there.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Michael,
Forgive me if I am misunderstanding, but if this is a public calendar, then others can check the category. That is the reason why that category is being included when you import the calendar. As I mentioned previously, you can uncheck the category or delete the category once the calendar is imported, but it doesn’t seem like there is a whole lot that you can do to stop others from selecting that category on the public calendar.
Please let me know if I’m missing something here, and if you have any other questions for me!
Thanks,
Jaime
