Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the error message you are receiving.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Secondly, by the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic. Is there a chance to limit those to 1
Absolutely. In fact here is a complete list of what you can do with shortcodes (including the “limit” argument): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
or another option to show NoNe below the calenda, but once mouse over date event to be opened as Regular calendar view in small popup (like here https://nyphil.org/)
Alas we don’t have exactly that functionality in place for now. I would also be curious to see how that works on mobile.
But, the closest thing we have is the behavior of the month view (with a tooltip pop-up).
All of that to say that it is quite possible that you could achieve such functionality, but that would require some customizing on your end.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know how that goes.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. Is there a way to target just the Attendees and Orders report pages? I can see they’re part of the tribe_events post type, but don’t know how to add a custom capability to target just that? Any help is appreciated.
The good news is that we have an internal feature ticket to add new capabilities, including the attendee reports.
For now however, your best bet is to “cheat a little”.
Here is how to do it:- Create a new user role for that specific customer
- Grant that role the proper capabilities (including Edit post)
- Use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/ to hide unwanted menus from wp-admin for that role. This can also be accomplished via functions.php if you prefer.
It is not ideal, but it could buy you some time until we improve things on our end.

We are sorry to hear about the one-time only recurring instances not showing up.
I would love to help you with this topic. Is there anything that could be causing the original event to not show the occurrences?
Not that I am aware of.
Perhaps some type of conflict ?Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Could you also send me a screenshot of the complete Edit Event screen for such an event (including recurring rules and all).

MemberGood afternoon Greg and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced while trying to update.
I would love to help you with this topic.in order for the calendar to work properly we must be running the same version of event calendar and event calendar PRO
This rule has now being replaced with versions of the plugins that were released approximately around the same time.
Now, they are no longer matching versions, so when you update to the most recent version of each, the entire site goes offline with a 500 error.
A 500 error is definitely not something we want our customers to be experiencing.
With that in mind, there could be many causes for it.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Can you also tell me which version you were upgrading from ?
Would you also happen to have access to a staging/test environment to test the upgrades ?If I update the site breaks and in v. 4.1 “Month view” is broken in WP 4.8.3 does anyone have insight into a fix for this? Or experienced a similar issue?
That is most likely because 4.1 is about 2 years old.
As you can imagine, we have to keep updating our plugins to reflect changes made in WordPress (as it changes versions as well). So in a way that means you can extend our plugins compatibility rules.
Our plugins need to be run with a more or less “matching version” of WordPress (released around the same time).Could you tell me if you have any customizations for our plugins in your WordPress theme ? (either in functions.php or the /tribe-events/ folder)
Hang in there!

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have encountered while importing events using CSV.
I would love to help you with this topic.Could you please send me a copy of the CSV file via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Furthermore, from that file, could you provide specific examples of some of the events that are being imported with improper date ?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. For the record Quickmark was only meant as an example.
You might have to try a couple of apps to find one that offers either:- A seamless browser integration
- It’s on built-in browser
Here are a couple of links to get you started (untested):

MemberGood evening Jacqui,
Thank you for your very useful reply.
You are absolutely right. Our apologies for the inconvenience.Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-schedule .tribe-events-cost {
clear: both;
display: block;
}That should buy you some time until we release an official fix.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberHey Wendy,
I am glad the latest updates helped.
Normally the word “Ticket” should be handled by my snippet. But I am glad you have a sufficient workaround for now.
If you don’t mind, I would love to take a look at your latest theme files (including the changes you have made).
Have a great day!

MemberHi again Shanda,
I am sorry this did not yield better results.
I am noticing that the issue is still not fully solved.More specifically, your header image is still not quite right: “http://windsongintermediateptotx.ptoffice.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/169/2017/07/running-mustang.pn”g should be “https://windsongintermediateptotx.ptoffice.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/169/2017/07/running-mustang.png”
If that does not work, it might mean that there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

November 7, 2017 at 3:04 pm in reply to: TEC 4.6.3: Missing Translation in Event Submission form #1377456Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon Oliver and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us and reporting this translation glitch.
We are sorry about the inconvenience this created. It looks like something went wrong with the language files update during last release:
- I opened up the German language file in Poedit and was greeted with a small error.
- I also tried to update the translation files using the pot file. This resulted in the missing translation appearing and showing up as “fuzzy”.
You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.In the Make sure you review the offending strings (in orange) and make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.
This should buy you some time until next release.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Bart,
Thank you for the theme files.
You are 100% right. This is related to multisites!
In fact, it is explained in great details here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/
To make a longe story short, not using a multisite license on a single site that is part of a multisite install is known to trigger less than ideal messages (as you have found out).
We apologize for the inconvenience.
In a nutshell:
- It is cool to use a non-multisite license like you are but the downside is that you will have to update these plugins manually (as opposed to straight from the wp-admin interface)
- We are working on improving these very inaccurate messages
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
