If I use shortcode to display mini calendar on the page as [tribe_mini_calendar] it shows by default 5 events. Is there a chance to limit those to 1 or another option to show NoNe below the calenda, but once mouse over date event to be opened as Regular calendar view in small popup (like here https://nyphil.org/)?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. Is there a chance to limit those to 1
Absolutely. In fact here is a complete list of what you can do with shortcodes (including the “limit” argument): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
or another option to show NoNe below the calenda, but once mouse over date event to be opened as Regular calendar view in small popup (like here https://nyphil.org/)
Alas we don’t have exactly that functionality in place for now. I would also be curious to see how that works on mobile.
But, the closest thing we have is the behavior of the month view (with a tooltip pop-up).
All of that to say that it is quite possible that you could achieve such functionality, but that would require some customizing on your end.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
