    Hey Chris,

I had the same realization as you did! Sometimes it’s so simple.

I’m stoked that you managed to get this working 🙂

You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

Good evening Danny and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing with our plugin in Avada.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, you might want to read my colleague Hunter’s excellent post on this very topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/layout-the-events-calender-pro-in-avada-theme/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Melanie,

    Thank you for clarifying this.
I see what you mean, thanks to your screenshot.

This must be really frustrating and, full disclosure, I have never seen such a problem reported before.
So let’s find out why that is.

As I hinted at in my previous reply, could you please send me a link to a .zip file containing your WordPress theme so that I can run some tests on my end ?

As a follow-up question, are you using Visual composer while trying to input text and URL or just the basic WordPress visual editor ?

Thank you for your collaboration as we try to figure the cause of this issue.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Christopher and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the error message you are getting.
I would love to help you with this topic.

What that means is that the calendar needs to use the yoursite.com/events URL by default (unless you change that in Events -> Settings -> General)

As such, you unfortunately cannot have a page that uses the same URL because that would compete with our Calendar (which does not use a real page to display, but needs the URL).

So that leaves you with a couple of options:

    1. If you want the calendar to display at yoursite.com/events, then you should get rid of the page that has that URL or use a different URL for that page
    2. If you want a page other than the calendar to display at yoursite.com/events , then you will need to change the calendar slug at Events -> Settings -> General

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Jan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the 404 error messages you have been getting.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Typically, re-saving the permalinks fixes the issue. But if that does not work, I would recommend checking the following steps: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/

If that still does not work, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Brian and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

Why is it not possible to use Global Stock for RSVP?

This is a great question. Full disclosure, I have not seen any request for it in User Voice or in the roadmap.

But I can totally see how this would be a cool feature to have!

Would you mind suggesting it in User Voice while I investigate about this on my end ?

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Jens,

Thank you for sharing your system information.

I believe I know what the cause of the issue is: currently, we unfortunately offer full support for Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus combined with WMPL.

Only our core plugin and the Events Calendar Pro are supported.
I apologize for the inconvenience this might be causing.

That being said, I have a couple of good news for you:

    • Although I cannot share a date with you, I can tell you that increased WPML compatibility will happen this year.
    • I was part of the team that worked on the requirement for that. This means that I can provide manual workarounds in the meantime. The only downside (aside from the fact that they are manual) is that they require some direct database edits (via PHPmyadmin) – so you would have to be comfortable with that to go ahead.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know if you want to see if the work around can work for you.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Ryan,

First off, thank you for sharing your system information and for sharing your fix with others.
    This is simply awesome!

I have also relayed your offer to share your fix with our Dev and, as I suspected, they are always open to that.

I won’t bore you with the details, but the simplest solution would be to post a .zip link (in a private reply) if you don’t mind 🙂

Additionally, out of curiosity, are there any other customizations or template overrides in your WordPress theme ? that you are aware of (I’m trying to cover all angles) ? Here too, it would be great to have access to them if you don’t mind.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Paul,

    Thank you for writing back.

I am super stoked that Ryan’s fix worked for you and I am really grateful for that. And you are right, let’s not touch anything that works!

I totally appreciate your willingness to work with us to iron this out.
To answer your question, I am located in Canada 🙂

I will gladly wait for a clone whenever it’s ready.

    Have a great evening!

    Hello David,

Thank you for your answer and for the login invitation.
I am sorry my questions were not helpful to you.

Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability. The only exception to that would be if it’s truly a staging/test environment in which case we only login to look (not touch).

With that in mind, I believe you are correct. The issue for the URLs not saving appears to be stemming from the use of the Hebrew alphabet.

As you might know, getting support for the hebrew alphabet in URLs and on websites in general requires a bit of tweaking (as you can see by the following articles):

I am not sure how your specific install is setup at the Database level or in your wp-config.php file.

But what I can tell you is that I was able to replicate the impossibility to save event slugs with hebrew characters (non-encoded or encoded using http://www.webatic.com/run/convert/url.php)

It looks like we only can support latin characters in the events URLs for now unfortunately. I will open a ticket to enable such support.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted as soon as it’s available! We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

As for the other issue of the extra ticket fields not appearing, I am positive that this can be fixed (I have successfully done so with words in Hebrew).

    Would you mind sending me:

    • A copy of your theme / child theme in a .zip file link ?
    • The URL to the RSVP ticket where you are asking that extra information

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Luke,

    Kudos on figuring things out.

If I get this correctly, you have also fixed the issue with the event not showing the price (based on what I can see here http://sdhwpc.org/events/list/). Can you confirm ?

If that is not the case, could you provide me with the URL where the event price is not displaying, as well as a screenshot of the Edit Event screen for that event ?

But now i just want ajax cart. I just installed Ajax cart plugin. Is that possible ?

That’s a great question. I guess the answer to that question is yes. But you would have to use a filter on the cart to replace it by your Ajax cart.

Alas, as you might guess, supporting third-party plugin integration is a bit outside the scope of our usual support.
But, I would recommend contacting the plugin author to see if he has any suggestion for you.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Melanie,

Thank you for the system information.
From the looks of it, everything seems to be in order.

the new URL Links does not post the links

If I understand correctly the issue you are describing, when you input an event URL under the Event Website field of the Edit Event screen, it does not show up in the single event view meta box. Can you confirm ?

If that is the case, I am pretty sure the issue lies in a template override. More specifically, could you tell me if there is a /tribe-events/ folder in your WordPress theme ? If so, it is very likely that it would need updating.

I would like to offer to take a look at it if you don’t mind.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
