ParticipantI don’t understand this error message:
The page “Events” uses the “/events” slug: the Events Calendar plugin will show its calendar in place of the page

MemberGood evening Christopher and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the error message you are getting.
I would love to help you with this topic. What that means is that the calendar needs to use the yoursite.com/events URL by default (unless you change that in Events -> Settings -> General)
As such, you unfortunately cannot have a page that uses the same URL because that would compete with our Calendar (which does not use a real page to display, but needs the URL).
So that leaves you with a couple of options:
- If you want the calendar to display at yoursite.com/events, then you should get rid of the page that has that URL or use a different URL for that page
- If you want a page other than the calendar to display at yoursite.com/events , then you will need to change the calendar slug at Events -> Settings -> General
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantOK, then I’m still confused. Does my calendar “not” working?
http://lasaa.avwebmaster.com/events/month/
I have an events page called http://lasaa.avwebmaster.com/events/ which is also the Events page slug.
So what am I missing here?

MemberGood evening Christopher,
I am sorry if I created more confusion. This was certainly not my intention.
Your calendar will work properly (in spite of the message).
What the message is saying is that you do not need to create a page called “calendar”.Furthermore that page (and anything on it) will be ignored and replaced by our calendar.
If you have a page called calendar, you can simply delete it to get rid of the message. This is because the URL http://lasaa.avwebmaster.com/events/ is created automatically by our plugin (from the slug you select at Events -> Settings -> General).
In short, no need to be concerned about the message.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
