    Good evening July,

To get “SPENDENVORSCHLAG” to display in the meta information of the single event, you normally only need to change the file for our free plugin. I just tested it and it works.

Here are all of the updated German files (so that you can use them). German_updated

If that still does not work, there is a chance that your WordPress is hardcoding these strings.

Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme in a .zip file link with a private reply (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Melinda and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. Thank you also for your invitation to log in.

Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.

We are sorry to hear about the Events Calendar not working as you would expect to with your theme.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The standard theme as is only lets people register via a contact form, hence why I’ve bought Events Ticket Pro and Installed Events Ticket and Events Calendar.

This is probably achieved through a template customization, since we normally do not integrate a contact form in our process.
If you want to solve that specific issue, you would have to see with the theme author.

I can, however, help you bypass that process and remove the customization. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme in a .zip file link in a private reply (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Best regards,

    Good evening Andrew,

I am very sorry about the inconvenience this is causing for you.

It seems like something is not working properly on your install when it comes to geolocation of the events.
Would you mind sharing with me which version of Divi you are currently using ?

On certain Divi installs, I have noticed that using the “lattitude +longitude” box by simply checking it and saving (without manually inputting the coordinates) works.

You can see an example of what that looks like here at the very bottom of the article https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/

Can you check if that works ?

Another quick test, if you can, would be to temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (e.g.: twenty-fifteen) to see if the issue persists.

@Leigh, would you mind opening a separate thread on this so that we can look at your specific system information and assist you in a more personalized manner ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Benjamin,

    Thank you for writing back.

To address the second request, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme & child theme in a .zip file link in a private reply (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

If I were to add the customized file to my theme (Option 3), wouldn’t a theme update erase the file?

It looks like you are currently using a Child theme, so the answer is no. If you do your customization in your Child theme, it will not get overwritten by theme updates.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening George,

We can absolutely downgrade your license and refund you the difference.
To obtain the refund and ask for the downgrade, you simply need to follow the procedure described here.

That being said, I would still like to find the cause of this issue (for the benefit of others too).
Can you tell me if you renewed from your account or from a link in the renewal email?

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Peter,

Thank you for the system information and for the invitation to login.
Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.

That being said, there are a couple of things about your installation that would require tuning (this will probably help):

    1. You cannot have a “real” page that has the “schulungen” slug.
    2. Under Events -> Settings -> General, you cannot have the same URL for the calendar and the individual event slug (schulungen). They absolutely need to be different from one another.
    3. Still in Events -> Settings -> General, navigate to the bottom of the page and click on the “Merge duplicates” button
    4. When you are done please re-save your permalinks.

With that in mind, I am limited into the technical support I can provide for something that is happening at a server level for you.

My recommendation would be to talk to your web hosting company about this and if they do not have a solution for this, you might want to consider getting somebody to help you out or simply changing web hosting companies.

    Best of luck,

    Geoff B.

    Bon week-end,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Heather and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with updating RSVP tickets.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that this has been already identified as glitch. We are sorry about the inconvenience this might have caused.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

In the meantime another workaround to update RSVP tickets is to temporarily disable WooCommerce.
I realize this is less than ideal however.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we fix this bug.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello again George,

    That is a great question.

Event Tickets Plus was actually built on the code from WooTickets, so it is very compatible and even offers many new features.

The proper way to migrate to Event Tickets Plus is detailed here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon George,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about your license not reflecting yesterday’s renewal.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I am not quite sure what happened exactly here, but I am following up on this.
Worst case scenario, I will update that license manually to reflect your successful renewal.

Hang in there as I investigate this for you.

    Have a good week-end,

Good afternoon Ray and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Before we begin, I would like to recommend you keep an eye on your server’s PHP version.
As it stands, WordPress officially supports down to 5.2.x, but recommends at least 5.6+

From personal experience, I would say that 5.4.x+ is fine. In any case, if you start observing unexpected behaviours on your site, I would certainly consider it.

As per your questions, there are 2 things you need to check first (before looking for other solutions):

    1. Can you tell me what your setting is under Events -> Settings -> Display for Default stylesheet used for events templates ? I would recommend full styles, since the 2 other ones are typically harder to work with
    2. If you click on Appearance > Customize , can you see the “the Events Calendar” tab ?

Normally these 2 things should enable you to change most of the colours to your liking.
We could then address any remaining unchanged colour individually.

As per the fonts, could you send me URLs of all the views you would like to change them ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Marlies and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the ordinal numbers showing up on your calendar when that is not appropriate in Dutch.
I would love to help you with this topic.

This is normally controlled under Events -> Settings -> Display (look for Date format settings)
These are separate from the ones found under Settings > General (in WordPress).

But you are right about the week view shortcode.
It looks like the ‘D jS’ is hardcoded inside the week.php file.

This glitch has reached top priority level, so it should normally make it in our next maintenance release.

In the meantime, you could do a template customization of the week view or the week view widget to replace that hardcode with your preferred date format.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

I can help with that if you want.

Thank you for following up on this and hang in there as this glitch gets ironed out.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.
