MemberGood evening Tom,
The fact that you are unable to keep the box checked for the system info is, in my opinion, a symptom that there is a conflict at play here.
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to <u>go through our testing for conflicts procedure</u> (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Adrian,
I went ahead and I tried to replicate this with your theme on my end.
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue. That being said, as stated before, normally the Event Tickets plugin is required for Event Tickets Plus to run correctly. In fact deactivating Event Tickets resulted in the ticket disappearing on my end.
Is it possible that there was an attempt at converting this ticket from RSVP to WooCommerce after its creation ? Is that still the case with a brand new ticket (created from scratch).
Finally, could you provide me with a link to a problematic ticket on your site so that I can run a few tests ?
Hang in there!
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Shannon,
I went and took a look at your website and there is no trace of Dietmar’s suggested rule.
I am not sure were they were added or how come they are showing up on your end.
But, as far as I can tell, they are “invisible” to the site. The simplest workaround in the meantime is to use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-css/
You can simply paste the 4.2.6 rule in there and it should be back to normal 🙂

MemberGood evening Deb,
Will I have to install Woocommerce when I get Plus, so that the additional attendee info form can be used?
No, you do not need to install WooCommerce for things to work the way you want them to.
That being said, you can decide to install it at any given point and use it alongside RSVP tickets should you want to.I did look at the SMTP plugins, but I have no idea how to configure them, and could find no helpful info online or in the WordPress forums. I have my site hosted on a shared Hostgator account. Would I configure it to the Hostgator email system, to gmail, or another way?
Basically what this plugin does is that it “takes over” all WordPress email tasks.
Normally, the WordPress server tries to send emails directly, but sometimes (as you found out) that does not work out well. There can be a number of reasons for this, so it is usually easier to bypass the server completely (using the plugin).
You should find the configuration instructions here: https://wp-ecommerce.net/easy-wordpress-smtp-send-emails-from-your-wordpress-site-using-a-smtp-server-2197
From there you can use any valid email address you currently own (or your can create one with Hostgator if you prefer). The only important thing is that you have access to the required info to populate the settings screen.
Once that is done, there is even a testing interface available to make sure emails are being sent correctly.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Sally,
I am glad you tackled this last one like a pro. Kudos!
I believe you are talking about the admin interface. More specifically the recurrence rule section.
From a logical programming standpoint, the “Once on” followed by “and once on” makes perfect sense.
We typically advise against changing the admin interface. But if you really want to give this a shot, you can try the following snippet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Let me know how that goes.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the calendar showing up empty. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Secondly, I believe the issue is caused by the way the link provided in the menu is coded. It simply adds /?post_type=tribe_events to the current link. This is why it breaks if you are not on the home page.
Instead, I would recommend changing your menu link to a custom link. More specifically: http://visithadleighsuffolk.co.uk/events/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing while trying to update your plugin.
I would love to help you with this topic.I would recommend (after a database backup) the following:
- Disconnect the license from your website: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
- Making sure the license is disconnected as well in https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys/
- Manually deactivate and delete the Events Calendar Pro (there will not be any loss of data)
- Grab a copy of the latest version of the Events Calendar Pro here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
- Install it using the “Add plugin” interface
- Activate it and enter your license key
Normally, that should fix things.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Amy,
I am chiming in for my colleague Hunter.
Based on what I can see, you are trying to use additional attendee info on a regular WooCommerce product (as opposed to using it in an event or on a page/post).
Although you can select which post type tickets are allowed in under Events -> Settings -> Tickets, we purposely disabled the ability to choose a normal WooCommerce product as possible post type in that screen.
The reason for this is that it has created several issues in the past.
That being said, if you still want to enable it (at your own risks), you can simply add the following snippet in your theme’s functions.php ): https://git.io/vXEtyWith that in mind, by default, the attendee info cannot be captured in the cart page (at least not for now).
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We are sorry to hear about the events disappearing from your views on weekends. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. This is a very odd issue to say the least.
It looks like the theme you are using has a fair amount of customization on the week view.If you don’t mind, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Secondly, if that happens again, I would recommend the following:
- Clearing all cache
- After a DB backup, try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme (e.g: twenty-sixteen) and see if the issue persists. You could use a temporary “Maintenance page” plugin for that purpose.
As a side note, if you can test things out on a staging site, you might enjoy our latest features found in version 4.3.2 of our plugins 🙂

We are sorry to hear about the recurring event issues you are currently dealing with. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.I am noticing that you are using the Total Theme which sometimes includes customizations for our plugins.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Secondly, would it be possible to get some screenshots of the example event you have provided ?
Finally, could you try re-saving your permalinks (that might help).
If all else fails, it is possible to downgrade our plugins if necessary (I realize this is not ideal, but it could buy you some time): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Hang in there as we figure this out.

MemberGood evening KS and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.1) When a specific icon is clicked on the front page of my site, take it to a page with a monthly view of the events calendar.
That is fairly easy. All you need is to use a page builder that has icons/buttons with the ability to provide a link for the button.
As an alternative, you could use a basic link and style it to your liking with CSS.
From there you will simply need to put the URL you have defined for the monthly view of events (e.g.: http://www.yoursite.com/events)
2) Have a place where someone reading the site can click on an add your event button and add their own event.
For that purpose you will need to get a copy of our Community Events plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/
Here again, you will be able to define the link at which you want the “Add event” front-end form to appear on your website (as well as control different settings pertaining to submitted events).
Just like previously, you will simply need to put the proper URL link in your button or your link.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Rob and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the pages not displaying properly.
I would love to help you with this topic. The first thing I would recommend would be to enable pretty permalinks on your WordPress install. Pretty permalinks are required for the Events Calendar to work properly.
Head over to Settings > Permalinks and choose “Post name” for the Common settings option.
Let me know how that goes.
