ParticipantHi there,
since the last update, my event calendar shows some wrong dates, I´ve created an event, that occurs from 2 to 27. November every week except Mondays and Tuesdays, It was working until the last release. Now it shows this event on EVERY day including Mo and Tu. tried adding an exclusion, but that didn´t help either.
Plus: everytime I edit the event and hit the save and refresh button, another event is automatically created, only the dates are one day further ( instead of 2. to 27 the event shows 3. to 28, next time I save it shows 4 to 29 and so on)
This creates a huge mess in the calendar. Some advice ?

MemberGood evening Jürgen and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the recurring event issues you are currently dealing with. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.I am noticing that you are using the Total Theme which sometimes includes customizations for our plugins.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Secondly, would it be possible to get some screenshots of the example event you have provided ?
Finally, could you try re-saving your permalinks (that might help).
If all else fails, it is possible to downgrade our plugins if necessary (I realize this is not ideal, but it could buy you some time): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Hang in there as we figure this out.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Jürgen,
Thank you for that additional information.
This allowed me to see that your issue is impacting all-day recurring events specifically. As it turns out, this is a bug and we are working on a solution for it.
We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.
For now, it looks like your best shot would unfortunately be to downgrade or manually hide the unwanted events with some CSS.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I´ve seen some updates now. Is there a chance of getting the above issue fixed soon ?

MemberGood evening Jürgen,
Thank you for following up.
This specific issue unfortunately did not make the cut for the last couple of maintenance releases (including the one that should be coming this week).
We are working at squashing bugs as fast as we can, but alas, sometimes that means making tough calls as to which gets worked on first.
I just escalated this one since it has been a while.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
any news about the fix since the recurring events UI was fixed with the 4.4 release ?

MemberGood afternoon Jürgen,
Thank you for writing back.
Unfortunately, this specific issue could not be addressed as part of the 4.4 release.
The good news is that it is absolutely going through our full dev Cycle.
Since this has been unresolved longer than it should be (in my personal opinion), I just re-escalated this for you.Hopefully, this time will be the good one! We apologize for the inconvenience.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
