ParticipantSince updating Event Ticket Plus it’s stopped working on my site. It’s as if the plugin hasn’t been installed. Once an event has been created the ‘call to action’ button just sends them to a URL link. Any suggestions?

MemberGood evening Adrian and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the tickets no longer working on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
As far as I can tell, you are using Eventica which has several template customizations for our plugins. It is possible that some of these customizations need updating.
A quick test to run (with a maintenance plugin activated) would be to temporarily revert to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen and see if the issue persists.
Hang in there as we investigate this together.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantI have now checked the box to share my system information.
Changing the theme to the Twenty Sixteen default doesn’t seem to have any affect. When I create an event a ticket is not generated in the Woocommerce products section.
Any further help would be appreciated.

MemberGood evening Adrian,
I am very sorry to hear that.
Can you tell me if the ticket creation issue is for both new events and existing events ?
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
- Permalinks needing to be re-saved
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Another solution would be to temporarily downgrade your plugins back to their previous version until we figure out what is going on: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantThanks for your reply.
After deactivating several plugins it seems the conflict came between your Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus plugins. It works fine when the redundant Event Tickets is deactivated.
Thanks for your help, I’d like to keep this ticket open for a while just so I can double check everything.

MemberGood evening Adrian,
Thank you for running those tests.
Let me know how things go after you double-check things out on your end.
But, as warning, the Event Tickets is not redundant, it is actually required for Event Tickets Plus to work properly.
Could you tell me which version of Eventica you are using ?
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme and child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Have a good week-end,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Adrian,
I went ahead and I tried to replicate this with your theme on my end.
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue. That being said, as stated before, normally the Event Tickets plugin is required for Event Tickets Plus to run correctly. In fact deactivating Event Tickets resulted in the ticket disappearing on my end.
Is it possible that there was an attempt at converting this ticket from RSVP to WooCommerce after its creation ? Is that still the case with a brand new ticket (created from scratch).
Finally, could you provide me with a link to a problematic ticket on your site so that I can run a few tests ?
Hang in there!
Best regards,
Geoff B.
