MemberGood evening Bram,
Thank you for answering.
You are right. This should not be too difficult to fix.
However, please note that every single one of our fixes need to go through the full Dev cycle (including testing). We would rather use that approach than create additional issues as you might guess.
Please let me know if you need any help putting the workaround in place.
Slight update, you can actually use 4.4.1 if you prefer (as opposed to 4.3.5).Have a great day!

I am glad that helped.
Basically you can tweak pretty much any view and div exactly to your liking this way.

For now, I am going to close this thread.

MemberGood evening Jacquie,
Thank you for writing back.
In my Plugins area, I am not getting a message to say there is a later version of the plugin – shouldn’t I be getting this and a link to ‘upgrade now’ as I do with other plugins. I have registered my licence codes.
Sometimes, the update notice unfortunately does not work on certain installs.
When that is the case, one of the following things usually solves the issue:
- Deactivating and reactivating the Events Calendar Pro plugin
- Deactivating and deleting the Events Calendar Pro plugin and then following the instructions found here to upgrade the plugin manually: http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/
So I would recommend upgrading the plugins first and giving it another shot.
If that does not work, by the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
I realize this can be slightly time-consuming, but it is the fastest way to find out what is causing the issue.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Jerald and welcome back!
Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
I am sorry to hear about the subpar experience you have gone through so far.
Please know that nothing could be further from our intentions.Although I can totally understand how frustrating that must be, I am wondering if you had the chance to read my colleague Geoff’s reply on this very topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-is-conflicting-with-my-disqus-plug-in/#post-1226156
In other words, perhaps our intention was miscommunicated.
What Geoff was saying is that we can often get to the bottom of such issues through a collaborative effort with our awesome customers.
I believe this is probably where we fell short of your expectations.
I realize being fully involved in the troubleshooting can be cumbersome, but we have found it to be the best and fastest way to get to the bottom of different issues while dealing with thousands of different website configurations.
In the end, we do share the same goal as you: try to fix issues our users might encounter as quickly as possible to the best of our abilities.
your recent updates to your plugin have affected disqus/site comments on both of my WordPress sites
There were indeed issues with comments in one of our earlier releases.
We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused. The good news is that we worked hard at coming up with a fix and that fixed several version ago.
This means that we no longer have any report of issues with the commenting system, as long as your plugins have been updated to their latest version:
- the Events Calendar 4.4.3
- the Events Calendar 4.4.3
- Community Events 4.4.2
In other words, based on your system information, I believe that simply upgrading your plugins (which are all several versions behind) should fix that issue.
I would gladly help you with that process if you want me to.
In the odd chance that would not work, I am pretty sure some teamwork troubleshooting should allow us to find the cause of the issue.
If you want to keep my business, I suggest you work with me toward a solution. If not, I hate that it didn’t work out. And no, I’m not interested in you quoting chapter and verse of my user agreement explaining to me how it’s not your problem, so save your breath. If that’s how you feel about your customers, then you obviously don’t need my business.
If you want to call and chat about this, my number is 404-542-2562. I’m uninterested in continuing to discuss this matter via a support thread since it obviously isn’t getting me anywhere. If you care about my business, you will call. If not, I’ll know where we stand.
I am truly sorry things have gotten to such a point Jerald.
Once again, we truly do want to provide solutions for you (as I just demonstrated)I will escalate this ticket to our management team as I am afraid the only thing I am able to do (reply via a support thread) is not an acceptable solution.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. It looks like your specific WordPress theme is trying to force the medium sized thumbnails.
There are a couple of things to do to fix that:
- Cheat by changing the medium size in WP admin media settings (i.e.: 720px) and regenerating the thumbnails. This will do the trick, but it will also impact any other medium sized image on your website.
- Force the full-size image as part of a template override (custom view). You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Adrian and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. These are great questions.
The short answer is that our plugins are not 100% ready for that yet.
The good news however is that some of our customers have implemented the suggestions found here:
- https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/6534596-wootickets-as-an-in-house-box-office-system-as-wel
As you can see, this is very close to the idea you had yourself.
Let me know if that helps or if you need help with being able to link WooCommerce products to and event.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Steve and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the 500 error message you have been getting.
I would love to help you with this topic. To be able to upgrade the Events Calendar Pro, you actually need to download a completely separate add-on plugin first.
The following page will walk you through the process: http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/
Once the plugin is installed and activated, you should have a place to input the Events Calendar Pro license key.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Cornelius and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. How can I create paid-for tickets and link them to a product (assuming that it how it would work)?
To achieve that, you will simply need to grab a copy of our Event Tickets Plus premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
It should allow you to do exactly what you are looking for.
Simply put, that will interface with the WordPress the most popular shopping cart / online store WordPress plugins, including WooCommerce.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We are sorry to hear about the fact that you could not get our plugins to work to your liking with Affiliate WP.
Full disclosure, this specific integration has not been tested. So I am afraid I cannot provide much information.
However, as with most plugins, with some custom code this is typically feasible. As an alternative, some of our customers hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for them.
Another alternative would be to the combination of our Community Events (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/) and Community Events Tickets (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/community-tickets/) plugins that achieve something very similar to AffiliateWP.
The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are close to 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We are sorry to hear about the photo view not displaying correctly on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.By the looks of it, there seems to be some CSS or theme induced display conflict.
More specifically, this impact the following element: #tribe-events-photo-events .tribe-events-photo-event
Somehow the position: relative CSS rule seems to get hardcoded in the div.
You can see that by adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
#tribe-events-photo-events .tribe-events-photo-event {
position: relative !important;
float: left;
}Here are a couple of things to try:
- Different settings for Event Template in Events -> Settings -> Display
- Temporarily reverting back to a default theme such as twenty-fifteen and see if the problem persists ?
Let me know how that goes.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The easiest way to handle this would be to use a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
Basically, this will overtake any email sent by WordPress and provide you with way more control.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
