MemberGood evening Dave and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
We are actively working on a solution for this.I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Dorian,
I will gladly answer your follow-up questions:
1) Is it possible to display not only the excerpt, but the full post on the daily calendar overview site, maybe via Short Code?
The short answer is yes.
You can pretty much customize the appearance of any view to your liking, including using the full post instead of an excerpt.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
2) Is it possible that the Featured Event is displayed sticky on top of the daily view of the calendar? With the free version the featured event is just highlighted, but still remains in between all other events.
We do have a built-in Sticky feature in the Pro version.
It is typically meant for the Monthly view. But, you could literally still the code from that view to implement in the daily view (as per our themer’s guide).
3) Regarding your Community Events plugin: Is it possible to exclude certain fields from being shown to someone who distributes an event, i.e.: Location details etc.?
Yes, you can completely customize the Community Submission form, including removing/hiding unwanted fields.
Additionally, Pro will let you set default values for these fields (wether they are visible or not).
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Titus,
Thank you for the reply, but it looks like the images got lost in cyberspace somehow unfortunately.
Would you mind re-sharing them via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Hang in there!

MemberGood afternoon Kathleen,
I will gladly answer all of your follow-up points.
The problem is this is a 2 day class, but your software does not allow for that, and only repeats ONE DAY. So what you’ve forgotten to include is a START and an END date, and that makes our calendar list view look wrong
This is a good catch and definitely a legit high priority bug. We are actively working on a solution for this.
I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available, regardless of your status as a client.
I was just notifying my team that it is not the end of the world because we could just CLONE an existing event and change the date, everything else being the same, only to find out you don’t provide a clone link like WordPress does for pages, posts, and Woocommerce does for products. There’s something else I recommend you add to your to-do (feature) list. We may not be able to use even the basic plugin as is.
That is a very good point and I believe several good news about this:
- We are definitely working on expanding our features to make it easier for our customers to have reusable event templates and ticket templates. No date is official yet, but it is totally in the works.
- You do not have to wait for that since any custom post type duplication plugin will work immediately. There is even one made just for our products: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/
I really am hoping your team will integrate them in the near future. What you have now is great and it’s clear your team knows what it’s doing. You just need to know a bit better what your customers are doing is all. ?
Thank you for your very valuable and thorough feedback Kat. It is certainly appreciated.
And yes, we do strive to always improve our products. So your input is super helpful.
For now it’s good enough, but do refund for the pro version. Thanks.
I have just done that for you.
Marketing class, first Thurs and Friday of every month. $150 for the class. OPTIONAL: Add $15 for lunch.
There you can see a need for multiple days to recur, and a variable price option. This a very interesting idea.
It sounds like an integration with a WooCommerce plugin such as Extra Products options would do the trick. The other option being to try to upsell the customer as part of their checking out experience (related product).
As a side note, you might want to vote for the WooCommerce products variations feature request.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to write back.
To clarify, the Events Calendar Pro will let you handle the default values for these fields.
Both plugjns are completely independent, but they integrate nicely with each other. So in other words, you do not need Pro, but you will lose the default values functionality (and all its other features) if you do not install it.
To hide those fields for certain user roles, the simplest approach would indeed be Community events, since it is a completely separate “form” than the admin interface and it is super easy to customize to your liking.
If, on the other hand, you want to unhook these fields based on their role in the wp-admin interface you are probably going to need some much more involved customizations.
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Christina,
Thank you for sticking with us as we go through each of these issues.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Hang in there!

MemberGood morning Fation,
Thank you for taking the time to write back and clarify what the issue is.
If the image must be that size, I’d like to replace it with the attached image of someone taking a course.
Actually this will tend to vary depending on:
- What WordPress theme is used
- What the first setting is under Events -> Settings -> TicketsD
In any case, the size can be controlled exactly to your liking using some simple CSS rules.
To help further, I would need:
- To have an example URL of such an event for that client
- That client’s complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Is there a recommended size for images on your site’s event listing?
The short answer, as you just saw, is “it depends on your exact setup”.
The good news is that we are about to find out and help out with that.
Cheers,
Geoff B.Geoff B.
MemberGood morning wenjyun,
I am glad to know my earlier answer was helpful to you.
When using shortcode, am I able to call for Google Map links to be included in the Monthly view? (We like the monthly view, but it’s crucial to have map link so people can find us) Can Pro do that?
The short answer is that you can customize any view to your liking using the themer’s guide mentioned earlier.
In other words, you could simply “steal” the code from the list view and implement it in the monthly view.
That being said, the Pro version also offers the Map view which might be of interest to you.

MemberGood evening Sue,
Thank you for your answers.
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.I have tested creating an event using woocommerce and specific user input fields – and yes i now see these input field details in the registration info under details and in the exported CSV so thanks for resolving that issue.
This is awesome news! As a side note, we have officially released the update for Event Tickets Plus today for all of our users to be able to benefit from these fixes while using the update button.
You can do that by applying the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/075787fd6b427e1c47be0d756ca5b26c
this will set this for every event though right? no way to set within the ticket for each event? We do not have a specific built-in tool or option to address that need for now, but you could probably achieve that with a WooCommerce quantity limitation plugin (while editing each product).
Here is an example of such a plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/minmax-quantities
this is very cumbersome and longwinded – when do you envisage being able to email from the event list directly please?
We are currently working on different email enhancements to our plugins.
Here are a few of them:- https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/4340231-email-list-of-event-attendees-to-admin-before-even
- https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/8391186-reminder-emails-for-x-days-before-event
I cannot guarantee when it will be integrated, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.how can i get the date and time on the registration details for each event please – in the exported CSV file?
These are present in the orders export.
Most of our clients either use that report or simply combine the 2 reports via Excel. Also the ticket assignment of a ticket number is very confusing – can i disable this and just have the name of the ticket listed under ticket?
The way the ticket numbering works is as follows:
- If there is a SKU, the format is SKU-# (where # is a sequentially increasing number)
- If there is no SKU, the format eventname-#
We typically recommend using a SKU.
I will ask our coding wizards to see if they can come up with a snippet to remove the ticket number altogether from the actual ticket being sent.
There are still lots of issues and I am not convinced this software is right for us – the ability to email is very important (not via 3rd party as extra work)
We do work really hard at providing the best possible plugins.
As you can imagine, with the shear number of amazing feature requests we receive, staying ahead of the curve is no small task. But, you are absolutely right.
When it comes right down to it, the important thing is that any piece of software meets the requirements of the customer. To your point, I believe the main deciding factor for you to give our plugins a shot was the benefits of using WooCommerce versus using a proprietary solution provided by other plugins.
I believe you are the best person to judge if you feel that WooCommerce integration outweighs the absence of features you would like to have.
Thanks Caroline for offering below to extend my refund time – could you please tell me what date I have to do this by?
An extra week or two should be totally feasible.
The other question I have is say I want to add events for different subjects A (4 events) B (2 events) and C (2 events)
How can i display each ticket for these on 1 page under
Subject A in table form
listing 4 events
Subject B in table form
listing 2 events
Subject C in table form
listing 2 eventsTo display such a view, you will probably want to use Event Categories.
A customized page template that displays all tickets from certain product categories should do the trick.
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
also how do i customise easily the on screen order received please?
Can you confirm that you are referring to the following URL /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post&page=tickets-orders&event_id= ?
If so, you can change what is visible using the “Screen options” option at the top right of your screen.

MemberHello again Mary Kay,
In addition to what I already suggested, you might want to experiment with different settings for When should tickets be emailed to customers? under Events -> Settings -> Tickets
Let me know how that goes.

April 10, 2017 at 11:42 pm in reply to: Woo Commerce Followup Email not work with the event calendar #1268112Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Johnny and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have experienced trying to integrate with Woo Commerce Followup Email.
We have released an update to Event Tickets Plus today that should fix the WooCommerce 3 issues some of our customers have unfortunately experienced.
If you have not already, I would highly recommend upgrading, after a database backup, of course.
Perhaps this will help.Other than that, we are currently, reviewing all of our email notifications code to make it even better than it already is.
In the meantime, we have found that when that type of issue arises, you can have the system send tickets from any chosen email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether, which typically fixes everything.
Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.
Additionally, you might want to experiment with different settings for When should tickets be emailed to customers? under Events -> Settings -> Tickets
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
