Good afternoon Jan and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the tickets not sending properly. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are a couple of things I would recommend trying (after a database backup of course):

    1. You might want to upgrade our plugins to the latest version (you are currently a few versions behind)
    2. It certainly looks like there might be some customizations in place both in our calendar views and at the WooCommerce views level. It is possible that these might require updating.

A quick test is to try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen (ideally in a staging environment) and see if that helps. Doing that should completely remove all customizations out of the equation.

    3. I wonder if this is specific to Paypal Express. If possible, could you run a test using the regular Paypal gateway ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Mary and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that the emails are not making it to your customers. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

How can I make sure the ticket email is getting out?

The best way to do this is to have the system send tickets from a real email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.

Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.

Is there a way to resent the ticket email en masse??

Alas no, not at this point. But you will be happy to know that we are working on improving our email-related features. Stay tuned!

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Lisa and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the notifications.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Since nobody is receiving any notification, I believe it is safe to say that something is getting blocked at the WP mail level.

The solution will probably be to have the system use a real email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.

Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Debbi and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .view-week .tribe-events-grid .tribe-grid-header .tribe-grid-content-wrap .column span {color: #fff !important;}

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Natasha,

I am still waiting for a hook.

But in the meantime, you could totally cheat with CSS.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .tribe_community_edit .recurrence-row {display: none !important}

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Paula,

    Thank you for writing back.

    1. Is there trial version I can put in place to see how it will work for us..ie. try before you buy? Or buy, try and get a refund if it is not suitable?

All of our plugins come with a 30 day refund policy.
So in other words, it gives you plenty of time to test it out 🙂

    2. Do you offer a discounted rate to Not for Profit Organisations?

Great question. I believe you will find all of your answers here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/do-you-offer-discounts-for-nonprofit-organizations/

Setup a product that costs $30
Associated with this product are tickets for specific times – 1 or more people can register for a certain time
There needs to be a form for each person registered for that ticket to collect their individual details

Event Tickets Plus will let you do all of this, but instead of creating the product first, you will create the event and within the event create the ticket(s).

We need to be able to cross sell products for this product

The cross selling aspect will be handled by WooCommerce or rather by a WooCommerce plugin of your choice (there are quite a few out there).

The reason for this being that we hand over the complete transactional aspect of things to WooCommerce.

Back end, we need to be able to export a spreadsheet showing the product, the ticket selected (time), and details for each person registered with each person on a separate row.

We have an attendee list and a sales report that can both be exported (and merged or tweaked) in the Spreadsheet software of your choice.

We need to be able to automate and customise emails to each entrant.

Each registrant does receive an email automatically and that email can be customized.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Matt,

    Thank you for writing back.

Migrate DB won’t work in my situation (single-site to multisite on WP Engine.)

    That is regrettable.

That being said,  my gut feeling is that there has to be a tool or a script available out there to deal with situations such as yours (going from single-site to multisite).

If I purchase the Aggregator, and enter the link to the event on the current site, will it import tickets and orders into the new site?

That should totally be the case. But the feature is fairly new.
Please note that both websites need to have the Events Calendar 4.5+ for this to work.

My suggestion would be to give it a shot. Worst case scenario, all of our add-ons and services come with a 30 day refund policy.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Johan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the inconsistency in format on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that this is totally possible to tweak.
I would like to recommend giving the 2 following ideas a shot:

    1. You could simply force the use of the cost field (from the event): https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/69f8a033fb614c78b3de45a197431135
    2. You could try returning the unfiltered cost: https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/21c4e2fc52aec514cc9c

You could apply the snippets above in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You are absolutely right. The page that appears after the successful submission of the event is actually not a different page.

What you could do however is to redirect to a new page after a successful event submission.
One idea would be to adapt the following snippet for Community Events: https://gist.github.com/elimn/ffa84662d26faadb906dc5aea2a0896b#file-tribe_event_tickets_rsvp_success_script-php

You should find the necessary hooks in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/Tribe/Submission_Handler.php

Short term, if coding is not really your cup of tea, the only other workaround I could think of would be to do a view customization of the “Add Event” view and put your custom content there, just before the form (instead of in the Pre HTML section).

This way the additional content will only be tied to the “Submit event” form which should allow you to reach your goal.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Alex and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

My website is a membership site, where each member has his own profile page. Therefore, I need each one to have a calendar of their own

This is not a direct feature, but we do offer a couple of solutions to “fake it”: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/can-you-have-multiple-calendars/

Combined with some proper permission-based control, that could totally work: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/

Therefore, I need each one to have a calendar of their own that they can customize/add/manage from the front end, rather than 1 huge calendar for the whole site.

The closest thing we have to that is our Community Events premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

The downside is that Community Events is meant for 1 huge calendar for the whole site by default.

So you will have to implement the suggestions above to control that aspect.
In fact, you can flat out customize just about anything you desire.

You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/

If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Paul and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

How to prevent users of community events, as standard role “subscribers” to see all other events we have in the backend?

The proper way to achieve your goal is to use the Community setting you have already identified: block them from the backend.

As you pointed out, this solution looks like it might impact some of your other users as well.

So this leaves you with a couple of options:

    1. Create a new WordPress role specifically for people that submit events and block them.
    2. Review the capabilities associated with the subscriber role to your liking.

This can be accomplished via a plugin such as Members. You can read all about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/

But, my recommendation would definitely be option 1.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Austin and Shane and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

the one thing our clients need is a notification when someone RSVPs for their events.

You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/4f06f95dbff364242cf54a3b5271b182

I need the notification email going to the presenter.

You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/niconerd/16770b84adb6156aaa77948bf208bacb

I am guessing that presenter means organizer in this case.

So the good news is that no purchase is necessary in both cases, unless of course you like the cool features Event Tickets Plus gets you: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
