MemberHi Matt,
Thanks for reaching out! If you’re looking to store information on specific attendees in a field separate from fields used for purchaser information, it sounds like our attendee information options might be a good fit for your needs. With Event Tickets Plus, you can add on additional fields for buyers to fill out when purchasing tickets, and these fields can be displayed on the tickets themselves, as well. You can read more about how to use these fields on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Lorraine,
Thanks for reaching out! When viewing single events with The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO, users are given the option to export to Google Calendar or to iCal format. iCal format (which uses the extension .ICS) is a standard format for handling calendar data and is supported by nearly all calendar and event applications for import, including smartphone and tablet applications. If you’d like to try for yourself, our WP Shindig demo site provides a number of sample events that you can use; simply open a single event page in your device of choice, then tap the iCal Export button to download an ICS file for that event. Once the file has downloaded, you should be given the option to import it into a supported application of your choice.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions! ๐

MemberHi Richard,
Thanks for reaching out! Event Tickets Plus, when paired with WooCommerce for payment processing and order management, uses Woo’s shopping cart functionality for handling tickets. This means that your users can easily move between events and add multiple tickets to their cart before completing a purchase, and there’s no need to add on any additional plugins to make it happen! You can see a simple demonstration of the cart and purchase flow for Event Tickets Plus on our WP Shindig demo site:
http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/
If you’re using The Events Calendar and/or Events Calendar PRO to power your calendar events, simply add on Event Tickets for basic ticketing support and Event Tickets Plus for paid tickets, and you should be all set! ๐
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Paul,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! No problem–I’d be more than glad to make some product recommendations based on your needs here. ๐
First things first, you’ll want to start with a basic calendar plugin that will power your calendar and all associated calendar events on your site. Our core version of The Events Calendar is a free download available on WordPress.org, and you can download the latest version and begin using it right away. If you’d like to expand the functionality of your calendar and events with more features, such as recurring event support and additional calendar views, you can add on Events Calendar PRO. Events Calendar PRO isn’t required to use any of our other premium products, but it’s a great add-on if you want to get the most options for creating events for your calendar.
For ticket sales, you’ll need our free ticketing plugin, Event Tickets, as well as our premium ticketing add-on, Event Tickets Plus. Event Tickets provides the core ticketing functionality that you need, while Event Tickets Plus adds support for paid tickets (as opposed to just free RSVPs). You’ll also want to pair Event Tickets Plus with an e-commerce platform to handle payment processing and other order-related tasks. WooCommerce is a great free option that works well for most users.
Lastly, if you’d like site visitors to be able to submit events to your calendar, our Community Events add-on will provide this functionality for your users. If your users need to be able to sell tickets for their events, as well, you can add on Community Tickets for this feature; otherwise, it’s not needed for a typical community setup.
I hope that helps to get you on your way here! Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns–I’m happy to assist. Cheers, and thanks again!
June 29, 2017 at 8:31 pm in reply to: Event Tickets Plus Compatible with Brown Paper Tickets? #1313337Caroline
MemberHi Perry,
Thanks so much for your interest in Event Tickets Plus! I’m afraid that Event Tickets Plus doesn’t include any built-in integrations for external services such as Brown Paper Tickets at this time. However, if Brown Paper Tickets is able to export ticket data in CSV format, you can bring in this information with our CSV import tool to use as a base for setting up new tickets. You can learn more about performing CSV imports with the free version of The Events Calendar on our Knowledgebase here.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Tom,
Thanks for getting in touch! You can return a list of all events to which a registered user has RSVPed by using theย [tribe-user-event-confirmations] shortcode. Our Knowledgebase article here provides information on this feature and how to set it up for your users and events:

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions! ๐

MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for following up! Your tickets should work just fine for your events if each event is created as a single event (as opposed to a recurring event/event series) or if you create the event series, break off each event into its own single event, and then create tickets for each of these single events. This will ensure that each day of your event has its own set of tickets, rather than tickets coming from a shared pool. Tickets that are created for recurring events will still have unique identifiers, but each ticket will apply to the entire event series, regardless of the date for which the ticket was purchased. This can be a problem if you need accurate sales numbers for each day of your event or if you are selling tickets with a limited amount of stock. (For example, if you created a ticket for an event that occurs every day for one week, with a stock limit of 200 tickets to account for the number of seats, you would only be able to sell 200 tickets for the entire week.)
I hope that helps to clarify things a bit further! If these limitations make it impossible to continue working with Event Tickets Plus at this time, we absolutely understand. Should you need to request a refund from us, simply fill out our refund request form, and we’ll process that for you right away.
Thank you!

MemberHi Amber,
No worries; I’m happy to help! ๐ You’ll definitely have the easiest time displaying two separate calendars with unique events by using the category functionality as described above. Simply create two categories, one for each of your two venues, then create your events so that each venue’s events are assigned to the appropriate category. From there, it’s just a matter of linking to the category pages for each event (your links will use the same format as the WP Shindig link used in our example). Or, if you’re using Events Calendar PRO, you can use the [tribe_events] shortcode to embed calendars for each category into existing posts or pages. For example, if you wanted to embed a calendar for a category named “Venue One” with the category slug venue-one, you’d use this shortcode:
[tribe_events category="venue-one"]
Entering this shortcode into an existing post or page of your site will embed a full calendar displaying just the events for that category on that page, right at the location where you placed the shortcode.
Let me know if that helps to clarify things or if you should still have any questions here! ๐ Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHiย Sebastian,
Thanks for taking the time to check out our plugins! While our development team is working hard to add full support for ticketing recurring events with Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus, this functionality isn’t available just yet, and we’re not able to provide an exact timeline for when it might be ready. At the moment, tickets that are created for recurring events will apply to every event in the series, with no distinction made between different days. For example, if you have an event that repeats for three days in a row, tickets sold for day 1, 2, or 3 will all come from the same pool of tickets and will all be eligible to be checked in on any day within the series. If you need separate tickets for your recurring events, we don’t recommend purchasing Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus with this setup in mind at this time.
I hope that helps to clarify things a bit! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here!

MemberHi Adam,
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out our plugins! I’d be more than glad to see what I can do to answer your questions here. ๐
Can you offer discount coupons / vouchers for discounted ticket prices?
If you’re looking to provide discounts on tickets sold using Event Tickets Plus, these would be handled through the e-commerce platform of your choice (such as WooCommerce). Coupon codes for tickets would be handled in the same manner as codes generated for any other product in WooCommerce–you can learn more about how to set this up in WooCommerce’s documentation.
We run multiple events for school terms. For exampleโฆ Tickets for events that run from 1st Jan to 30th March. Is this possible?/We also run daily events as well, such as 22nd July 10am-12pmย Is this possible?
Yes, tickets can be assigned to any type of event that you can create using The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO. However, please note that individual tickets for recurring events (i.e. separate tickets for each occurrence of a daily event) are not supported by Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus at this time. If you need to sell tickets for a recurring event, you’ll need to split off each event in the series into a single event and create tickets for each single event afterwards.
Can events be duplicated at a later date to enable faster re-creation of future events?
Event duplication isn’t built in to our plugins by default, but as events are structured as custom post types in WordPress, you can duplicate events using any third-party post duplication plugin that supports custom post types. A quick search in the WordPress.org plugin directory should turn up a number of results!
Can we edit a booking to move them from one event to another event in the admin? We regularly have customers buying tickets for wrong events or later changing their minds.
Unfortunately, RSVPs or tickets that have been reserved for one event cannot be reassigned to another event at this time. You’ll need to cancel the original booking and instruct the user to make a new booking for the correct event.
Can the Registrant details be easily changed (name, email, phone, address etc)?
Administrators can edit these details as needed, though only registered users can log in to edit their own details. To enable this functionality, users will need to be registered users at the time of RSVP/purchase, and Event Tickets Plus will need to be installed and activated on your site.
Can I resend ticket info to a customer from admin?
If you’re using WooCommerce to handle ticket sales with Event Tickets Plus, you can resend any ticket manually using the instructions outlined here.
What ticket capping / ticket number limits do you offer?
We offer a number of options for limiting stock by ticket type or global stock (which limits ticket sales of all types to a specified number). You can learn more about managing stock for your tickets on our Knowledgebase here.
Can we add custom text the the email that goes out to the customer after purchase. We need to provide venue / event specific info for each event that we sell tickets to.
This isn’t built in to our plugins by default, but it’s something that could be added in via template customization, if desired. Our Themer’s Guide provides more info on how to get started with customizing plugin templates to suit your needs. If you’d prefer not to delve into customizations for this, I’d suggest adding this information to your event or venue descriptions as needed.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again for your interest, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Shawn,
Thanks for reaching out! If you’re looking to add the ability for registered users to add and edit their own calendar events, you’ll definitely want to have a look at our Community Events add-on, which enables this functionality while allowing administrators to maintain full control over user event submissions. As far as restricting the viewing of events by user role, this feature isn’t supported by any of our plugins out of the box, but it may be achievable through the use of some third-party plugins and/or custom code. This forum post may be helpful to you as you’re exploring options here!

June 28, 2017 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Using Events Calendar as a shared calendar / not for public use #1310832Caroline
MemberHi John,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! ๐ It sounds like you’re off to a great start with setting up a shared private calendar, having already reviewed our Knowledgebase article on members-only calendars. The remainder of your listed requirements may be achievable once you’ve set up the members-only functionality to your liking, though it’s worth noting that bookings as you describe here (where specific slots can be reserved, as opposed to RSVPs or tickets that are just associated with a given event) are not currently supported by our plugins. As such, any implementation that includes this feature–and especially all of your requirements–is likely to require a significant degree of custom development.
We do offer a full 30-day refund policy for all of our plugins, so you’re more than welcome to purchase any needed plugins for your setup and begin work on customizations to see if they might meet your needs! If you should find they’re not the right fit for whatever reason, we’ll be happy to process a refund for you upon request.
I hope that helps to answer some of your questions here! Thanks again, and let me know if there’s anything else that I can do to assist!

June 27, 2017 at 6:53 pm in reply to: Interested in connecting two The Events Calendar calendars on two websites #1309801Caroline
MemberHi Karen,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! If you’re looking to maintain a number of shared events between two separate installs of The Events Calendar, you’ll definitely have the best experience using Event Aggregator to achieve this. Some users prefer to use a single Google Calendar and import shared events from that calendar to both sites; other users may wish to create events on one of their sites with The Events Calendar and then import directly from that calendar. Feel free to test several options and see which setup works best for your needs! I’d be glad to answer any questions you might have about Event Aggregator and how it might fit your requirements here. ๐
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if there’s anything else that I can do to assist!
