KeymasterHi Ron,
I just had another user with this issue report that they were able to resolve it by updating the plugin. Can you give this a try and see if it helps you as well?
The current versions are:
The Events Calendar – 4.6
Events Calendar Pro – 4.4.17
If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Chris,
Glad to hear that the update fixed this for you, and thanks for letting us know! You are definitely not bothering us, we are happy to help. I’m glad this issue had a simple fix! : )
I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please feel free to open up a new one if you run into any further issues.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Mary,
Thanks so much for sharing that information…unfortunately your screenshot didn’t come through (please note that attachments will not come through when replying via email – they need to be added directly into the post). I’m a little bit confused on how you are able to enter prices with WooCommerce and Event Tickets deactivated, so if you could try posting that screenshot again, that would be helpful! However, we now have a workaround for the time being. You can add the following code to your theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'tribe_reverse_currency_position', function(){ return null; } );I’ve also added this thread to our internal ticket for this issue, so we will post an update here as soon as we have one.
Thank you for your help and patience as we work on getting this resolved! Please let me know how the code works for you and if you have any questions.
Sue, can you also try adding this and see if it fixes the issue for the time being?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Elsa,
So sorry you haven’t been able to get it working! At this point, I would recommend trying the Loco Translate plugin to see if that will work better for you. It does look like the plugin files are up to date based on the screenshot you sent, but if you want to send me a copy of your /wp-content/languages/plugins folder, I’ll be happy to take a look and see if there is anything in there that could be preventing the string from fully translating!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Linda,
I’m sorry you’re still running into this issue, but since I haven’t been able to recreate it on my end (I can enter WooCommerce tickets and RSVPs in any order and so far haven’t had any tickets switch types during my testing), I think there is a conflict occurring between our plugins and your theme or other plugins. If you can follow the steps to test this out (with WP_DEBUG enabled) and let me know what you find, I’ll be happy to see what I can recommend to get this working properly for you! It would also be helpful if you could share your system info with me so I can see if there’s anything there that might be causing this issue.
I know the testing can be tedious, but with products from so many different sources, conflicts do often pop up in WordPress. Unfortunately, the only way to identify the source is to go through the conflict tests. I’m sorry I don’t have a simpler troubleshooting process for you here!
Regarding the order, the paid tickets and WooCommerce tickets are actually displayed separately on the front end (RSVPs first), so if you have one of each, you shouldn’t need to worry about having to reorder them.
If you have more than one ticket of a certain type, then this article has some instructions on how you can reorder. It does involve copying/pasting some code. We are working on improving this however, so I would recommend casting your vote for this feature over in our Feature Ideas Forum. That way you can stay up to date as we make progress on this.
In the meantime, let me know what you find out with the testing!
Thanks,
Jennifer
September 29, 2017 at 3:48 am in reply to: Want to embed different Month view calendars on separate pages/need help #1356639Jennifer
KeymasterHi Marek,
Thanks for reaching out! The issue with events missing from month view was actually one that popped up with WordPress version 4.8.2, but we did get this fixed in current versions of The Events Calendar. Can you try updating to 4.6 and see if that fixes the issue? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.
Regarding the shortcode, the one you have should be correct to display calendars by category on certain pages ( [tribe_events view=”month” category=”cross-country”] ). It sounds like you found our article on using shortcodes, but just in case, I’ll include the link here. Once you’ve updated and gotten month view working, please give this a try and let me know if it works for you!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Sarah,
I’m sorry to hear you’re running into this issue as well – could you please send me the link you’re using to import so that I can do some testing on my end? Is this occurring with manual or scheduled imports, or both?
Also, it looks like you’re running an older version of The Events Calendar – can you try updating to the current version (4.6) and see if that makes a difference? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Phillip,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry about the delayed response! I’s been very busy here in our forums this week, but I’d be happy to help you out with this.
I think there may be a conflict with your theme or another plugin, as the excerpt should not be that long…could you please send me a link to the events page on your site so that I can take a look? Can you also try switching to a default theme (like Twenty Seventeen) with all other plugins disabled and see if this is still occurring?
Let me know how it goes, and I’ll be happy to help you continue troubleshooting from there!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Tom,
I’m sorry to hear you’re running into this issue as well, and apologies for the delayed response. Our forums have been quite busy this week, especially with several users running into this issue.
So far not been able to replicate it on our end, so we are currently working on finding the common denominator between the users that encountered this issue to help us determine the cause.
As mentioned in the other posts, one factor we’re looking at is how the events were created (via the backend, a CSV import, or from the Community Events page). Also, is this occurring on all events or only certain ones? If you could do a quick test and see if you are able to get any different behavior by changing this setting (preferably with a default theme enabled and all other plugins disabled), that would be helpful as well. Thanks for including the screenshot of your “Currency symbol follows value” setting…could you please send one of the settings under WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency Position too? I’d recommend changing that setting as well to see if you see any different behavior.
Thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved, and please let me know what you find!

KeymasterHi Sue,
I’m sorry for the delayed response here, our forums have been quite busy this week – we usually try to answer threads in the order they are received, but occasionally we get a little bit out of order. Sorry about that!

KeymasterHi Vanessa,
Thanks for reaching out! You can set events to recur every weekend by clicking on the “Add more events” button and selecting the “weekly” option (see screenshot). You can set multiple recurrence rules on the same event, so if you would like this to repeat twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday for instance, you could click the “Add more events” button again and set another weekly rule, changing the time and date. So for this example, you would have 4 recurrence rules total, one for each of the tours.
However, there are some issues with adding tickets to recurring events. You can technically do it, but the ticket will be added to the series as a whole, not to a particular occurrence in the series. So for example, if you had a tour that recurred 4 times each weekend, no matter which date a user added a ticket from, they would get the same ticket in their cart. Adding a ticket for tours on two separate dates would simply increase the quantity of the same ticket in the cart instead of adding a second ticket for that particular date. I’m sorry for the bad news here, but we are currently working on changing this in the future to improve how ticketing works with recurring events.
What you could do is go ahead and use the recurring events feature to create all of the events initially, and then break them from the series. This will make them individual events on which you can then create tickets. I know this isn’t ideal, but it will save you a little bit of time instead of creating every single tour manually.
I would recommend casting your vote for this feature here in our Feature Ideas Forum so that you will be notified when we have an update on this.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry about the delayed response, our forums have been quite busy this week! I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out.
I did some testing on my end but was not able to recreate the issue. The event I created did carry on into the next month (see screenshot). So, I suspect there might be a conflict with your theme or another plugin…it looks like you have tried deactivating other plugins already? Could you try switching to a default theme at the same time you have all other plugins deactivated to rule out a conflict there?
I also noticed you are running version 4.5.13 of The Events Calendar, so I would recommend updating to the latest version (4.6) as well. And finally, could you also send a screenshot of the event edit screen for the two events that this is occurring with?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Linda,
Sorry about the delayed response, our forums have been a bit busier than usual! I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but you are correct – you can have both RSVPs and paid tickets on the same event.
I did some testing on my end but was not able to recreate the issue…Could you explain a bit more when this is happening? For example, are you creating the RSVP tickets, clicking “Save this ticket”, and then seeing a WooCommerce ticket instead when the section refreshes? Any screenshots you can provide would be helpful too!
Can you try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? If you don’t want to do this on your live site, you can use WP Staging to create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Please make sure you have WP_DEBUG enabled while testing and copy/paste any error messages that may appear into your reply.
Finally, if you could share your system information with me, that would be helpful as well.
Thanks!

September 28, 2017 at 7:45 am in reply to: Creating Recurring Event stops individual event from showing up #1356101Jennifer
KeymasterHi Diane,
I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out! I took a look at the link you sent, and I see what you mean on the first occurrence listed. The second occurrence seems to work properly, and it looks like other recurring events are working as expected (this one for instance takes you to the single event for all of the occurrences in that series).
So it seems like something is going wrong on the event itself. Could you please send me a screenshot of the event edit screen for that event? If you haven’t done so already, it would also be a good idea to do a quick conflict test. If needed, you can use WP Staging to create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Thanks,
Jennifer
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Todd,
No problem! You can find the main events query in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Query.php (note that you’ll want to take advantage of some of the filters you’ll find there instead of modifying this file directly, as it is a core plugin file and any changes will be overwritten when you update the plugin). I’d also recommend taking a look at our themer’s guide as well as this list of functions.
I hope that helps get you started, and let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer
