I need to offer the sale of tickets AND RSVP on the same event.

If I enter the first ticket as WooCommerce sales ticket with $ price, and then try to do the next ticket as RSVP, the RSVP one keeps reverting to WooCommerce with zero as price.

I don’t want to have RSVP people go through the checkout process obviously.

Please advice if both types of “Sell Using” can exist on a single event post.

    Hi Linda,

Sorry about the delayed response, our forums have been a bit busier than usual! I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but you are correct – you can have both RSVPs and paid tickets on the same event.

I did some testing on my end but was not able to recreate the issue…Could you explain a bit more when this is happening? For example, are you creating the RSVP tickets, clicking “Save this ticket”, and then seeing a WooCommerce ticket instead when the section refreshes? Any screenshots you can provide would be helpful too!

Can you try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? If you don’t want to do this on your live site, you can use WP Staging to create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Please make sure you have WP_DEBUG enabled while testing and copy/paste any error messages that may appear into your reply.

Finally, if you could share your system information with me, that would be helpful as well.

    Thanks!

    Jennifer

I found the problem. It has to do with the order tickets are entered:

If the RSVP ticket is NOT entered first, then it becomes a WooTicket and you can’t change.

Had to delete all the tickets in the event and start again, entering the RSVP one first, then the $$ WooTickets. Then it works.

It looks to be a hard bug.

Do I have to delete all the tickets for all my events and start again?

    Hi Linda,

I’m sorry you’re still running into this issue, but since I haven’t been able to recreate it on my end (I can enter WooCommerce tickets and RSVPs in any order and so far haven’t had any tickets switch types during my testing), I think there is a conflict occurring between our plugins and your theme or other plugins. If you can follow the steps to test this out (with WP_DEBUG enabled) and let me know what you find, I’ll be happy to see what I can recommend to get this working properly for you! It would also be helpful if you could share your system info with me so I can see if there’s anything there that might be causing this issue.

I know the testing can be tedious, but with products from so many different sources, conflicts do often pop up in WordPress. Unfortunately, the only way to identify the source is to go through the conflict tests. I’m sorry I don’t have a simpler troubleshooting process for you here!

Regarding the order, the paid tickets and WooCommerce tickets are actually displayed separately on the front end (RSVPs first), so if you have one of each, you shouldn’t need to worry about having to reorder them.

If you have more than one ticket of a certain type, then this article has some instructions on how you can reorder. It does involve copying/pasting some code. We are working on improving this however, so I would recommend casting your vote for this feature over in our Feature Ideas Forum. That way you can stay up to date as we make progress on this.

In the meantime, let me know what you find out with the testing!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

I had done all the testing before; switched to Twenty Seventeen theme, turned off plugins etc. I always do ? And no errors in WP-DEBUG.

I have a movie of the issue I attach here along with the system status. I couldn’t upload these to your ticketing system as it only excepts 4Mb or something, so hope you can open OneDrive links to view now.

    Sincerely,

    Linda Jezard

    Hi Linda,

Unfortunately the links aren’t opening…OneDrive files should have a specific “share” link. Can you try using that instead for the system info PDF and video? I looked into this a bit further, and it would also be a good idea to check and see if there are any JavaScript errors on the page. You can do this by opening up the console (right-click on the page, select “Inspect”, and click over to the Console) and then going through the steps to reproduce the error.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
