KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
There is not currently an out of the box way to do this, but you could do it via a customization. Our themer’s guide is the place to start if you’d like to give this a shot! Our list of functions might also be helpful. I would take a look at tribe_is_past_event() and wp_redirect() as a staring point. If you would like to have the code done for you, we also have a list of recommended developers.
If this is a feature you’d like to see added in future releases, please also post this as a request over in our Feature Ideas Forum. This is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.
Please let me know if you have any questions or get stuck with the code – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterPerfect, I’m glad to hear you were able to get it fixed! I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please feel free to open up a new one if you run into any other issues!

KeymasterGreat, please do cast your vote for that feature request, and if there is anything else I can help you with in the meantime, please let me know!

KeymasterHi Nancy,
Thanks for reaching out!
We are not able to login to user sites, but I took a look from the front end, and it appears that there is some CSS that is hiding the button (see screenshot). I’m wondering if you might have added this to hide another button?
Can you try removing that line and see if it brings the button back? Let me know if this works!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Dave,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Community Events will let users add, edit, and delete events from the front end of your site, but if all of the users who will be creating events already have author accounts on your site, then they can create and manage their events from the backend.
Keeping events private is not something that is currently available out of the box, but we do have an article with a guide and some tips on customizing the plugin to get pretty close to what you’re looking for.
When you say you do not want anyone outside of the group to be able to register, do you mean register to attend events or to create events? If to attend, you would first need the Event Tickets plugin to allow users to register for events, and this plugin does have a setting that allows you to require users to be logged in to register for events. If you mean to create events, then if you go with Community Events (allowing users to create events from the front end of your site), then this plugin also has a setting to require users to be logged in to create events. If you stick with using the author accounts that you already have, then users would have to have an account on your site to be able to create events.
Regarding your theme, the best way to make sure that our plugins will work with your theme is to test it out. I would recommend installing our free plugin The Events Calendar to see how well it plays with your theme. If you run into styling issues, take a look at this article on adjusting the page templates, which can sometimes solve styling conflicts. I would also recommend taking a look at this guide on theme conflicts.
Regarding Events Calendar Pro, I do want to point out that while it adds some great features like shortcodes, additional calendar views (week, map, and photo), recurring events, and additional fields, it does not affect which users can/cannot create or view events.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to take Pro for a test run as well! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi John,
Thanks for reinstalling – I’m glad you’re able to get back into your events now! For the 404 errors, we have a guide on troubleshooting those that typically resolves most 404 errors for events pages. Can you try running through these steps and see if that fixes it? Oftentimes just flushing the permalinks (clicking “Save” under Settings > Permalinks) resolves these errors.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out! Once you’ve created the tickets on the event, if you go through the checkout process to enter the information for the attendees who have already paid, then the tickets will be created and emailed out to the attendees automatically, and attendees will be added to the list for that event, allowing you to check them in normally on event day. You could also go into WooCommerce and create the WooCommerce order for the tickets manually.
You might give this solution from another user a try (importing via CSV), but I would recommend testing this out in a staging environment first before doing it on your live site, just to make sure it’s working the way it’s intended to.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterThanks for clarifying! This is actually another feature that we are working on implementing in the future. We have a request open for this as well, so I would recommend casting your vote for it so that you can stay up to date as we make progress on it.
For the time being, I would recommend using the additional fields that come with Pro to display additional venue information. Let me know if you have any other questions!

KeymasterNo problem! If you do go ahead with Event Aggregator and have any questions on getting set up, feel free to reach out over in our Event Aggregator support forum!

KeymasterHi Henrik,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Event Tickets Plus does not come out of the box with the ability to select other products as add-ons to tickets, but since tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products, you typically can use WooCommerce add-ons in conjunction with tickets. However, these will not work directly on the event page itself. You can enable the full WooCommerce product page for tickets, which we have more info on here. This will provide a more standard WooCommerce experience with tickets and allow users to select other products on the ticket page (note that this will be separate from the actual event page), provided you are using a third party plugin like one of these that allows you to do this. Event Tickets Plus itself comes with custom fields, but nothing to allow additional product selection.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to do a test run! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Paul,
I’m glad to hear you got this figured out! Thanks for the awesome picture : )
For future reference, there are some cases where users are not able to install/update automatically for various reasons, in which case you can do so manually by following these instructions.
If you have any questions or run into any other issues, please feel free to open up a new thread!
Thanks,

October 27, 2017 at 10:47 pm in reply to: Import event aggregator without being page admin? #1370564Jennifer
KeymasterHi Raymond,
Thanks for checking out Event Aggregator!
For Facebook imports, you do not need to be the moderator of a page to be able to import its events. For a Google calendar, you just need the link (it does not have to be your calendar), but if the calendar is private, then you will need to get the private link to be able to import. This article has some more information on importing from URLs.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to test it out! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Christopher,
I just talked to one of our developers, and unfortunately this is not something that we have a quick fix for – definitely not by the 19th. Sorry for the bad news, I was hoping I would have a better answer for you here!
I have linked this thread to our internal ticket, so as soon as a fix is released, you’ll be notified here. In the meantime, I can go ahead and process the refund for you if you would like?
Thanks,
Jennifer
