KeymasterHi Tony,
I’m sorry for the delayed response here – if your events have been importing correctly since refreshing your Facebook connection, then this was likely the source of the issue. I took a look at your license, and everything looks good from my end. I also see that imports have been running successfully from https://www.facebook.com/pg/comedykettle/events. Have you run into any further issues since refreshing? You can also see the status of recent imports (or attempted imports) under Events > Imports > History tab.
Please let me know how the imports are working for you now!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Josh,
Thanks for reaching out!
The templates for map view (both on the main events page and from the shortcode) can be found at wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro – the same templates are used for both views.
We are a bit limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but I will be happy to point you in the right direction! I would recommend first clearing out any caching that you’re doing on your site (such as on your server or via a plugin) to make sure that you’re seeing the most recent version of the page with the shortcode.
If that doesn’t make a difference, can you please send me a copy of the page the code you’re using via a gist so that I can test it out on my end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Madeline,
Thanks for reaching out!
- You can do this by selecting the filters you want, and then copying the link from the address bar. You can see an example over on our demo site wpshindig.com.
- You can filter starting from a specific date using the default Tribe bar (see screenshot), but there is not currently a default way to filter for one specific date in map/list view. If this is a feature you would like to see added in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use it to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.
I would recommend taking a look at the following articles for more info on getting up and running with Filter Bar:
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry about the delayed response – your Event Aggregator license can actually be registered on up to 10 domains, and this allows you to run up to 100 scheduled imports per day. This is in total, not per site. So, as long as you are under this limit, you should be all set with the license that you have!
I would recommend taking a look at the following articles, which have some good info on how Event Aggregator works and getting your imports up and running:
Importing Events from a Feed or URL
Managing Your Scheduled Imports in Event Aggregator
Event Aggregator Import Settings
How Do Event Aggregator’s Import Limits Work?
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re still running into issues, but I’ll be happy to help you get them resolved.
Regarding the search bar, I see that Jaime is helping you with this over in this thread. Just to clarify, you do not need to revert back to an older version of WordPress. Jaime was referring to temporarily switching to a default environment, meaning a default theme (like Twenty Seventeen) and disabling all other plugins besides The Events Calendar (simultaneously). From there, you can re-enable things one by one until the issue reappears (meaning that the Find Events button disappears again). This will help us identify any conflicts that might be interfering with the button. No need to change your version of WordPress! Sorry for the confusion there. An alternative method to check for conflicts would be to use a third-party plugin like Health Check, as Jaime mentioned previously.
With Event Tickets/Event Tickets Plus, you do not need to require users to login to RSVP/purchase tickets, but if you want them to be able to edit their information later, then you will need to require them to login. However, they do not need to have access to the backend of your site – this depends on the role that is assigned to their account. You can read more about how the WordPress user roles work here. Users should be able to register with the “Subscriber” role, but this role does not give them access to the backend of your site.
When attendees RSVP for an event, they should have to enter their name and email by default, in order to complete the registration. If you want to collect additional information from attendees, like phone numbers, then you can create custom fields on the tickets.
Regarding duplicate events, it looks like Jaime is helping you with this issue as well over in this thread. If an event has already been imported, then it should be updated with any changes made in the original source the next time you import from that source (provided that you have the “Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source” option selected for Facebook imports under Events > Settings > Imports – see screenshot). However, if the original event has been deleted and recreated in Facebook, then a new event will be imported and the one that you previously had in your site would need to be removed manually.
Finally, for Community Events, you can add link to add an event to your menu or anywhere else on your site – the link will be yoursite.com/events/community/add by default, but you can also find it directly by going to Events > Community: Submit Event from the WordPress admin menu (see screenshot). You can then create it as a menu item or copy/paste it on a page on your site.
You do need Community Tickets in order for users to add RSVPs to their events that they create from the front end form, even if you are not charging for the tickets.
The default “Cost” field is disabled when Event Tickets Plus or Eventbrite Tickets is activated (to avoid confusion for users), but you can re-enable it with the free extension in this article.
I understand that you are frustrated, and I’m sorry that you’ve had such a hard time getting up and running with everything! I am more than happy to help you get everything figured out – please let me know if the above helps and if you still have any questions 🙂
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Ian,
I’m glad that changing the settings worked for this issue as well! It sounds like everything has been working correctly so far?
If there is anything else that I can help with, please let me know.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Chris,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on. I took a look through our open bug reports, but I don’t see this as currently being an issue.
I also took a look at the log for your license, and it looks like your Facebook imports have been running successfully the past several days – are you still running into this issue?
I tried a few of the links that you’re been using but was not able to recreate the issue. Was this happening with multiple links, or just one? Can you please send me the link that you were trying to import from when this happened so that I can do some further testing on my end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out! There is not currently an out-of-the-box way to do this, but you could do get this set up with a customization – our themer’s guide is the place to start if you’d like to give it a shot. Alternatively, you can use the text field and add the link in manually (for example: <a href=”#”>Your text</a>), which will display the linked text on the front end.
If this is a feature that you would like to see added in the future, I would recommend posting this as a feature request in our Feature Ideas Forum? This is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.
I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you at the moment, but please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterNo problem!
Since this has been marked “resolved”, I’ll go ahead and close it out. If you run into any other issues, please feel free to open up a new thread!

KeymasterGreat, no problem!
I’ll go ahead and close this out, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to open up a new thread!

KeymasterHi Cédric,
Thanks for checking out Event Aggregator! You can import both single events from Facebook as well as events from pages, and you have the option to preview the events before the import. You can sort by event start date/time, end time, and event title (or filter by search) and select the events you want to import (see screenshot). However, there is not currently a way to select events based on the organizer.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Aggregator for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Andrei,
Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help you with this, but first will you please post this question in our Events Calendar PRO forum? We use the Pre-Sales forum to answer questions about the features of our premium plugins for those interested in purchasing them.
If you have not purchased one of our premium plugins, you can post in our community forum on wordpress.org, which we review weekly to check for bug reports. If you need more in-depth support, you will need to purchase a license. However, please note that customizations are outside the scope of support that is covered in our premium forums, so we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for this there as well.
Our knowledgebase is a great place to start looking for answers. You can also search our premium forums to see if another user has posted about a similar issue. If you’re having trouble with plugin functionality, the best place to start is by testing for a conflict.
Thanks,
Jennifer
