KeymasterHi Adam,
Thanks for your feedback. I tested that code with a default theme on my local test site, and did not have any errors.
As a next step, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.
Let me know if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Lucy,
As stated in the Themer’s Guide:
You can also modify the selected Events Template’s markup. To do that, first find out what Events Template you are using by heading to Events → Settings → Display in your site’s wp-admin, and looking for the Events Template option. If you have selected the Default Events Template, the plugin will use the /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/default-template.phptemplate file for the display. You can override and edit this by making a copy and placing in a /tribe-events folder in your theme.
Please post any further questions in the WordPress.org forums, if you do not have a PRO license.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Rene,
I’m sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. Are you able to see other options under Import Origin? Would you mind providing a screenshot of what you can see?
When you go to Event Settings>Licenses, does your license key say “Valid Key!”?
Also, I am still not able to see your system information. Can you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Once I have more information from you, I can help you get to the bottom of this, please let me know if any other questions come up along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chris,
You could go with our Community Manager Bundle, though it does come with a few extra plugins as well. You can always purchase them a la carte, though that option doesn’t come with the discount.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions! Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Adam,
In order to add a ticket description in the ticket email, you’ll want to create a template override of the tickets email (located at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php) to include the description output. Pleas checkout our themer’s guide for more details on how to do this.
I hope this helps to point you in the right direction, let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gerardo,
Nope, you don’t have to change anything. Just clicking “Save Changes” will flush the permalinks. We do have an article on Permalinks best practices, in case you are interested in changing the permalinks and/or getting a little more information: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Randyl,
Great, I’m glad you were able to fix the error yourself! Were you also able to get the code that I provided you with to work?
Please let me know if you need any additional assistance. Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime
September 29, 2017 at 4:34 am in reply to: Showing Event Date (from a series) on the New Order email and shopping cart page #1356655Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Patrick,
I’m sorry that the information I provided you with didn’t help you get the results you were looking for. Just for a bit more context, the reason why ‘tribe_get_start_date’ only prints the first date in the series is because there is an ID assigned to the series, but not to individual events. The way we have it set up now, all recurring events in a series are linked to one ID.
One other option you have is to set up your recurring events, and then break each of them from the series, so that they become their own events. This may help you to better identify which events customers are buying tickets for, and may provide less confusion for the customers.
You could also add this idea to our feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas. We truly appreciate customer feedback and often consider features based on their popularity.
I hope this helps to provide some clarity for you. Please let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Rene,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
We are having some issues related to Google Calendar, but I just want to be sure that what you are experiencing is related to that issue. Just to clarify, are you able to see the Google Calendar option under Import Origin?
Also as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
One more thing to try is removing the license key and re-entering it and saving. Sometimes that can help, although I can’t make any promises.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Adam,
Thanks so much for reaching out again!
I would suggest that the best way to start would be for you to examine the code in our tickets emails, and use that as a guide to customize the template as you see fit.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with custom code, as it goes beyond the scope of the support that we can provide, as outlined in our support policy: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
I hope this helps to get you started, let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Casy,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
Can we export this to an iCal format or to google calendar? Is there anyway to have this feed one of those continuously?
You have the option to export an event to Google Calendar and iCal. Here is our knowledgebase article for more information and screenshots: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/exporting-events/.
This will not, however, allow you to export events continuously or in bulk, but you can use a third-party plugin, such as WP-All-Export to help you achieve that.
How is the sort order controlled? Are there any options to customize this?
You can sort events in a variety of ways. You can sort in Month View, Day View, List View, and more. You can choose which view is the default for people to see when they visit your site. They also have the option to sort by Keyword, Date, or Location. You can also add more filters with Filter Bar.
Can we set defaults on the adding an event form?
Yes, you can choose which fields to show and hide on the Add Event form, using some custom code, with Community Events.
Is there a way to bulk add events?
You can create recurring events with Events Calendar PRO, which is a great way to add many events at one time.
Are we able to change the display properties on the calendar? Any way to choose if some are highlighted, etc?
Our plugins are highly customizable and you can easily change the colors and other display properties on your site. Our Theme’s Guide can get you started: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
I hope this helps to answer your questions. Please let me know if anything else comes up!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gerardo,
Thanks so much for reaching out, and we appreciate your patience!
As a first step, would you mind trying to flush your permalinks? You can do this by going to Settings>Permalinks and clicking Save Changes.
If that doesn’t help, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ ) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chris,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Yes, we do have a few bundle options for you. We have a few different options, and each offers a discount when you buy them together: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/
With Community Events, you can control the information fields that exist for people when they add events. You can opt to have all submissions sent in as drafts, so that you can approve/edit submissions before they are displayed on the calendar.
I hope this helps to answer your questions, let me know if anything else comes up!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Pablo,
Thanks for reaching out again!
I’m sorry that you are unsatisfied with the way that the shortcodes look on your site. This may have something to do with Visual Composer or with your theme. You are welcome to test the shortcodes with a default theme, like Twentyseventeen, to get a sense of what they may look like otherwise.
If you’d like to stick with what you have, the following plugin may give you a few more options. We are not affiliated with this plugin, but our customers have had success with it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/
Here is a list of our shortcodes for your reference: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
Let me know how it goes and if you need any additional assistance on this issue!
Thanks,
Jaime
