    Hi Martin,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

It is possible that your calendar is no longer syncing because the feed can only hold 30 data items (or events in this case) at this time.

That said, there is a way to link to the feed in Google Calendar in such a way that it contains event data for the entire year, which is noted in this thread:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ical-import-only-gets-30-events/

If that doesn’t help, would you please provide me with the URL that you use to sync your calendar?

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Krystal,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You can create category-specific calendar views using a shortcode with Events Calendar PRO.  Here are some articles to get you started:

in reply to: automatic email message to the event organizers #1399599

    Hi Shah,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

We currently don’t support a way for organizers to receive notifications for the events they submit using the Community form. Right now, the only notifications that can be enabled are for site administrators under Events > Settings > Community> Alerts.

I can see how that would be a handy feature and would encourage you to suggest it on our UserVoice page. We look there for popular ideas when considering new featured to add to future releases.

Some of our users have decided to extend the notifications being sent using the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bnfw/

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    Hi Chris,

Thanks so much for reaching out again!

I’m sorry to hear that your site is running slowly with use of our plugins.

As a first step, please have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/performance-considerations/

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article:  https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/

In addition, you can check out some of the solutions provided in this forum post:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/decreasing-loading-time-for-big-amount-of-events/

I would also recommend looking into some of the plugins in this blog post, as they may be able to help you pinpoint where site slowness may be occurring:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/favorite-developer-plugins/

In addition, you can try reverting <span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”>back to version 4.4.18.  </span>You should be able to download the earlier version from your account.

Let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Karen,

I’m glad that we were able to find the root of the issue!  I’m not sure why this worked for you before, because it shouldn’t by default.  If both slugs are the same, then they would redirect to the same page, which isn’t really possible.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Hi Stefano,

Glad to see that we are making some progress!

Here is a list of all available functions:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/functions/

You can add these functions in after add_filter, as you see in the snippet in the forum post that you are referring to.  So for example, ‘tribe_get_cost’ is an available function in the documentation.

You can change the Date Time Separator by going to Events Settings < Display.

in reply to: event data show wrong #1399555

Great, let me know how it goes!

    Hi Anne,

Thank you so much for this detailed account of the issue that you are experiencing.  My hunch is that this is related to an issue between WooCommerce and PayPal, as there have been some stock issues using the combination of the two.

In order to test out if this is the issue, I’d recommend creating a WooCommerce product and completing payment through PayPal and seeing if the stock reduces.  This can show you that the issue is not with Event Tickets, but rather with WooCommerce and PayPal.  Of course you can also test the same thing using a different payment gateway, such as Stripe, and see if the issue continues.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Can't add Additional Attendee Information #1399310

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

With the way things have been revamped, the ticket field sets should be under Tickets > Attendee Information.  You can add field sets from there.  If you are not seeing this, would you mind taking a screenshot of what you see?

If you are not see this, as a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Issue with Timezones and All Day Events #1399305

    Hi Marco,

I have done some more testing on my site and these are my settings that allow the all-day events to be imported properly:

    WP Timezone: New York

    Events Settings < Timezone Settings:

    • Use the local timezones for each event

    Event Update Authority:

    • Overwrite my event with any changes from original source

Other import settings use global import settings.

You can obviously adjust according to your timezone.  Let me know how this goes for you!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
