Switch to list view automatically when displaying search results

While in month view, the event search bar only displays search results for the month currently being viewed, making it practically useless. When changing the view to list mode, searches will display results from any month (much more useful).

When using the event search bar, can the view automatically be converted to list view so search results are displayed?
